If you need a bedtime read for your child, this one is for you. Even if you are an adult, this would be wonderful to read before going to bed. The book is illustrated with nighttime stars. Each prayer is short and sweet but you can expand upon it with prayer and talking. I would recommend this book to anyone.

I loved this little book. Any little girl whose parent or other significant adult prays these prayers with her is very blessed. Going to sleep can be scary. Intruding thoughts from the day or nightmares by night, it all works together to disrupt the sweet, restful, restorative sleep that God intends. These brief prayers will help your young girl (early elementary to tween) focus on trusting her sleep to God. This book will enhance your relationship with your young girl by leading you both to God. Each page includes Scripture and a little prayer to help your girl focus on that Scripture and what it means to trust God in that area. Great conversations with each other and great conversations with God. All around lovely.

I gratefully received this free ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my unbiased review.

This is a very sweet little book for a niche market of Christian parents looking for prewritten prayers for young girls.

This book reminded me of when I was little and was praying with my grandma before going to bed.
It has such a cute design and the prayer are very simple, perfect for little girls. It would be such a perfect gift from the parents or grandparents to a little girl, to make them feel always protected and loved.
Thank you NetGallery and Hilary Bernstein for the eARC.

Tucking our daughters into bed each night and praying for them is one of the privileges of being a parent. And bedtime can be one of the for significant conversations with your children!

Thus the opportunity to review and advance copy of 200 Nighttime Prayers for Girls (Barbour, 2021) by Hilary Bernstein was a "no-brainer" for this dad!

>While there does not appear to be any specific sequence or theme and no dates are included in the book, there each of the 200 prayers follows a short Scripture verse. The reading level is appropriate for grade 3 and up and the Bible readings come from a variety of translations which seems beneficial for the book's purpose. The prayers are simple, yet highlight the character of God and how it applies to personal concerns and issues relevant to young girls. Each person of the Trinity is consistently addressed and called upon appropriately and so each night's prayer does not seem repetitious.

Visually, the book is attractive with each page having a consistent layout.

I would recommend this book to parents (especially dads) looking to develop a consistent prayer time with their young (eg. 5-10 year old) daughters, yet feel nervous about what or how to pray

I received an advance copy of, 200 Nighttime Prayers for Girls, by Hilary Bernsteib. This is a really good book for girls, so many different prayers to choose from, or even make up their own prayers.
