This was a pretty decent read. I really liked Clarissa right from the beginning. I wasn’t really sure what to make of her relationship with Damien. It kind of gave me Twilight vibes (not necessarily a good thing), but I got through that and did enjoy the book. I recommend for anyone who likes YA and paranormal.

I found this book to be highly entertaining even if I would say this is a genre I normally would not read. I really enjoyed the characters of Clarissa and Damien and I have to say their storyline was very interesting. I would certainly recommend this book to others

I received a copy of the ebook from NetGalley and the publisher and this is my honest review of the book.

A good read for a teenager or a young adult reader. I felt a bit "old". The setting is highschool age and reminded me of schooldays.. Not badly written just not my cup of tea.

I love werewolves, so I’m kinda biased in this review, but I completely loved this book. It was completely gripping from start to end. Clarissa and Damien are absolutely brilliant characters! I found myself grinning while reading it, I was happy, sad and heartbroken , then happy and laughing, I love it so much it’s a great love story I forward to more from Suzana Thompson.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

The Other Side of Midnight
by Suzana Thompson
A young romance, how would you deal with finding out that their were werewolves. What if your greatest crush had been attacked. Survived the attack, by a "dog". What it opens is a world of acceptance and experience that follows this story through their lives. Its a very sweet story teaching that love is acceptance and understanding.

It was a fast paced story with a happy ending. Overall an okay story. I felt as if it was a story focused more on teenagers growing up with a touch of werewolves in their lives.

This story was a whole lot of fun. It was very unexpected and suspense-filled. I liked how the first half was more about the action and introducing the characters. I liked that it was focused on both aspects of the novel. I didn't expect the werewolf part even though it's in the blurb because it was different from what I read before. I didn't like the author's writing style in the first book I read but this one shows a lot of improvement. If that was 3 stars, this one is a solid 4.

This book was pretty entertaining, but I did have a few issues with it. Firstly, I just found Damien and Clarissa's relationship extremely unrealistic. At first, she seemed to think he was a jerk, and then he said some pretty bad stuff (like about smelling her arousal) and started to basically stalk her. However, she still seemed to have no problem hanging out with him and kissing him. I can guarantee that if Damien wasn't super attractive, his actions would've been seen as creepy instead of lovingly/protectively. I just wish we saw more of their relationship development in the beginning, too, because their relationship seemed to move way too quickly to be believable. Secondly, I feel like the main plot or external conflict of the book was resolved too early. After the villain was apprehended, I just kept thinking to myself, "Where the hell is the book going now?". I would've preferred if the whole mystery and danger aspect of the story was more complex, and I wish the villain's character was more developed. I just couldn't understand their motives at all or why they would put that much effort towards their goals. Finally, I didn't like the ending at all. Personally, I've never enjoyed time jumps in books, and there were just sooo many at the end of this book. I think the book would've been better if it ended around when the characters went to college, but that is just my preference. Besides all of this, I still think this book is worth reading if you like paranormal romance.

Is it mostly a cheesy werewolf book. Yes. Did I read it in one sitting. Also yes.

I might have a slight bias since it is rare for me to share a name with the main character, but I really enjoyed the characters. They seemed realistic for ages and situations. It's a quick read with an entertaining plot, that has a few twists as well as some heavier topics without being overwhelming. It is unique in how fast it is paced and how much is covered in such a short book. Overall definitely an enjoyable read (but also definitely needs a better cover).

This book was up and down however my inner bookworm had gone so it was a good book to get it back. This book got me into the story but I’m not sure if it was my bookworm or book it seemed to drag out however I want say it a bad book it was layed out good would recommend.

This book is more about growing up than about werewolves. It completely captures the immaturity of teens and the decisions young adults have to make on the road to growing up. However, since that’s not what I signed up for, I wouldn’t recommend this book to many people unless it changed its description.

Thank you Netgalley for the chance to read The other side of midnight by Suzana Thompson. Clarissa was just pretending to be a fortune teller for the school carnival until she made an eerie prediction of danger to Blair that came true. Damien survived the vicious attack, but began to exhibit strange behavior. Clarissa, who once had a crush on Damien, suddenly now finds Damien is attracted to her. Who, or what is Damien?
This was a great YA read for those who love paranormal/werewolf stories. This story has a great plot, mystery, romance and some action.

The other side of midnight by Suzanna Thompson.
The sense of foreboding came out of nowhere. It was so strong that I couldn't even speak at first. My eyes lifted in horror to Blair's smiling face. "Death stalks you tonight," I warned. "Stay inside your house. Don't go out for anything."

A brilliant read. I loved the story and most of the characters. I didn't like Kristen. I liked Damien and Clarissa. I like the cover. 5*.
