I wanted to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. A good historical fiction book.

This has been one of the sweetest books I've read so far in 2021. I love books that have all the sibling relationships and this book more than delivers. Endless Mercy is a book about the story of three sisters who had to go hand in hand through trials, love, and tragedy together. This is a book about forgiving the past and looking to the future, it is about understanding what true forgiveness is and what Beautiful Doors and patas it unlocks. Every character was unique and personal, you could empathize with their struggles and dreams…They so desperately wanted to get to that place in their lives where they could be at peace with the world and themselves, yet they didn't know how to do it until they surrender the hopes, dreams, and expectations to the one who already has their beautiful story written, God. To all this, add the Alaskan setting, and ahhh! The vivid descriptions transport you to this beautiful wonderland of snowy and glittery goodness that you can't help but fall in love with this story. Even though I haven't read book one in this series, I had no trouble at all understanding the plot. I will most definitely have to Pick book one soon, though!

Endless Mercy is the second book in the Treasures of Nome series. I am really enjoying this series. The authors separately write wonderful books and together they are just dynamic!
Life is hard in Nome,Alaska for three red-headed sisters whose mother has died recently, believe their father has died and live with a grandfather who has health problems.
They have one thing going for them, their musical talent which they have received from their beautiful mother. Playing and singing a few nights a week brings them money to survive.
This is the youngest sister Madysen's story. She does seem a bit naive for 21 but she is a sweetheart, don't let that fool you though. All of the Powell sisters have the gumption and fierceness that goes along with being a red-head and family first and foremost always wins out.
Madysen loves her family, her music, her Lord and her sheep.
Raising them isn't easy and it can get down right messy but it brings in some much needed cash with the cheese and milk from these animals.
Will her head be turned by a make it big producer who promises her marriage and wealth from her singing if she'll just leave Nome? Will she be able to leave her family behind and the attentions from someone she sees as genuine after her affections?
The book is so aptly named. Wonderful life lessons in this book. Though it's not always easy to do we should give endless mercy as we ask for the same.
Love this series. I recommend you read it in order.

Endless Mercy is the second book in the Treasures of Nome series and it was really good. The three book series would be best read all together since book two is more of a continuation of Forever Hidden. I loved that the characters from Forever Hidden appeared in Endless Mercy.

Although the story started out slow, Daniel and Madysen are such dynamic characters that I couldn’t help but root for them from the beginning. However, once Maddy’s older sister encountered a dangerous situation (trigger warning), the story took on a depth that captured my attention. Not only could I not put the book down after that, now I can’t wait for Book Three.

Endless Mercy is a story of anger, forgiveness, and mercy. The Powells are a complicated family and whether they can survive the storms that keep rolling their way is what this story is all about.

An unexpected farming family struggles with heartbreak from the past. Unable to forgive the hurt, they carry lots of pain with them. When a father supposedly dead returns with two children, can Madysen forgive the hurt he's caused?

The story paints a picture of hurt, pain, and betrayal. Only God's forgiveness can turn the family's life around and give them peace. The characters are engaging and the Powell family daughters are courageous, loving, and try hard to keep their faith and encourage each other.

The story is heart-wrenching in parts and very emotional. Keep the tissues handy.

Lovely inspirational and uplifting story about family, redemption, and love.

I received a copy from the author and voluntarily choose to review it.

Head back to Nome, Alaska for the second in a series of the three Powell sisters. A musical crew, they have supported their family through some health and financial crises by singing and entertaining at the local roadhouse. As a Christian family, they strive to provide wholesome entertainment. The sisters, though, are in their early to mid 20's and ready for marriage and families of their own. Book two focuses on Madysen Powell, the youngest sister. She is also quite talented in voice and with instruments and longs to take her skill set to a broader audience than the small Nome community. Two suitors come her way and she struggles to find the right one for her.

I truly enjoyed this book. It is the second in a series, but I didn't read the first. This one stood alone quite well. Madysen's family has a lot going on and there is a ton of areas/relationships that need forgiveness. The setting is Alaska, a place where I truly want to go visit. I think the time period was well described and the author did a great job with knowing a lot about it and sharing that information in a way that made you feel a part of it.

Family with secrets and causing pain needs a lot of forgiveness. I really liked Madysen's sisters. The author mainly focused on Madysen and Daniel, but there was plenty about the sisters too. Overall, it was just a really good book that I enjoyed start to finish.

It was a 4/5 for me.

Thank you to the author/publisher for the review copy of this book via Celebrate Lit. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.

The second in the series called "The Treasures of Nome", these books are about three sisters who live on a dairy farm in Nome, Alaska. This book is mostly about Madysen Powell and her longing to go on stage in honor of her mother.

So much as happened in the span of a few months to these girls and Madysen is a little confused and mostly she wants life to be normal again. When offered a wonderful job as a stage singer, she is sure she is supposed to honor her mother's memory in this way.

I'm sure you can image the rest of the story. Of course, there is someone who wants to win her heart and keep her in Nome. And there are her sheep as well, which she "stole" in the previous book.

While in many ways being a typical girl meets boy book, I do love these sisters and all the things that come their way. Their faith in God is steadfast and they want to do what's right even if it's hard.

I received this book from Bethany House via NetGalley and was not required to write a positive review.

Endless Mercy by Tracie Peterson; Kimberly Woodhouse – 4
This was a great book. The authors automatically let me know I would be in for a good read. I wish they had included a little more about Nome Alaska. There was more than one story line going on at a time, not just a Christian romance, there was a lot to think about for me as I had a step father who has passed, who drank quite a bit. The description that I got and included from NetGalley.com tells you a bit about the story lines that are involved in this book. It was a fast read, gave me a lot to dwell on, and I enjoyed it.

I received this book free in the kindle format from NetGalley.com my opinion and comments are my own freely given. #EndlessMercy #NetGalley #TraciePetersonKimberlyWoodhouse #ChristianRomance

Description from NetGalley.com:
Madysen Powell has always been a forgiving person, but when her supposedly dead father shows up in Nome, Alaska, her gift for forgiveness is tested. With the recent loss of her mother, she searches for answers, leaning on Granny Beaufort, a neighbor in town, who listens with a kind heart. Still, Madysen is restless and dreams of performing her music around the world. The arrival of a traveling show could prove just the chance she needs, and the manager promises more than she ever dreamed.

Daniel Beaufort arrives in Nome, searching for his own answers after the gold rush leaves him with only empty pockets. Still angry about the death of his loved ones, he longs to start fresh but doesn't have high hopes until he ends up helping at the Powell dairy making cheese. Drawn to the beautiful redhead with big dreams, will deceptions from the past tear apart any hope for the future?

This is a great book and well written! I love historical fiction and these two writers are some of the best in my opinion. It has a great location (Nome, Alaska) and I enjoyed reading about the family. This is the second in a series and is best if you read it after its prequel. I will recommend it to our readers. Thanks to Bethany House and NetGalley for the ARC.

Endless Mercy is the second book in Tracie Peterson and Kimberley Woodhouse's The Treasures of Nome series. The series introduces us to the Powell series, with each book focusing primarily on one of the three sisters. The first book focuses on oldest sister Havyn and this one is all about Madysen. As such, it probably makes the most sense to read from the beginning to best get an idea of the family dynamics and their backstory... but it could certainly be read as a standalone anyway.

I must say that as one of three sisters myself, I am always drawn to series that likewise feature the same so that certainly drew me in...along with the gorgeous cover if we're being honest. Thankfully, the story inside lived up to it too. Being the first book in the series that I have read myself, I enjoyed getting to know the Powell sisters. They are still healing from the death of their mother, and dealing with the discovery that their father is still alive. Add in some farm life and romance, and it truly is the making of a fantastic story. While I enjoyed the romance between Madysen and Daniel, my favorite aspect was the beautiful message of forgiveness as well.

Overall, this is one that fans of historical romance and/or inspirational romance are sure to want to check out.

My Review:
I like to write longer reviews, but as I’m still dealing with a sore hand and need to cut back on the typing, this review will be more condensed than what I normally write.

I loved this book. The storyline is heart-touching. The Powell sisters are amazing and show a great love of family. They support and encourage each other as they worked through grief and other difficult situations. When their dad suddenly reappears in their lives, they struggle to find mercy, forgiveness, and love for him. Maddy is also struggling with determining what God’s will is for her life. Daniel is bitter towards God, but sees Him at work in the life of the Powell family. I loved how there’s a strong theme of faith and redemption all throughout the book. The romance that begins to build between Daniel and Maddy is sweet. Granny Beaufort plays a pivotal role in this story with her wise advice. I enjoyed getting to know all of these characters.

The Powell sisters have certainly had their fair share of sadness and drama in their lives with the death of their mother, the sickness of their Grandfather, and now the return of their long thought dead father. As the family secrets come to light, and they are doozies, there is much pain and cause for bitterness to take root. Can they forgive their father and grandfather in all the pain that they were a part of?

Madysen the youngest sister at 21 wants to be treated like an adult. She is also one who adored her father and he left when she was so young. When she becomes fascinated by the promises of the manager of a traveling entertainment show she finds herself in a dangerous situation. Her dreams of performing seem on the verge of coming true. Yet not everything is as it seems and she is much too headstrong to see the trouble she is headed for.

Daniel Beaufort is a young man with a past and bit angry at God for the loss of mother and his grandfather. However, he is quite taken with Madysen if only he could get her attentions away from the manager and on him. They have a unique friendship as they care for the sheep at the Powell dairy.

This was a really messed up family. That these sisters have come out as strong as they have is a testament to the love and faith of their late mother. The main theme of this story was forgiveness and it was a hard one for these girls to push through.

"I am the Good Shepherd. My sheep know my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."

Having read this verse, Madysen was determined to teach her sheep to know her voice. This was just one of the parallels in Endless Mercy to Jesus, our shepherd. One that especially touched my heart was the parallel to the parable of the shepherd who left 99 sheep to find one that was lost. In demonstrating what that could have been like (albeit in a manner that Jesus most likely did not have in mind!), the authors extended the example to not just the shepherd's persistence in locating the lost lamb but also the willingness to endure hardship for it. Despite the ugly circumstances, the illustration was lovely!

When Madysen's father appeared, seemingly from the dead, the resulting revelation and hurt caused each sister to consider whether they could forgive him or their grandfather for the deception and desertion. The mere thought of needing to extend mercy was painful to each of the girls. I appreciated that the authors didn't make it an easy choice and depicted their turmoil well.

Madysen was quite naive, which bothered me, especially when she didn't seem to think things through very well. I had a hard time seeing why she was attracted to Mr. Merrick - any reason I could come up with seemed so shallow compared to other things I learned about her.

Whitney, Madysen's sister, had quite a hard time. Not only in dealing with her anger. She also had a traumatic experience that had surprising repercussions. Her story will most likely be told next and I am looking forward to reading more of her and her sled dogs!

Numerous references were made to Forever Hidden, which triggered memories of the events from it. They were presented quite well, and in a manner that didn't feel as if the original story was being retold.

If you enjoy historical Christian romance, you will want to consider reading the entire Treasures of Nome series.

What a fun book! Several times I wanted to wring Madysen’s neck because of her actions and how she was hurting those around her. And of course, I wanted to let the slimy man have it from the start. But this is a wonderful read and I can’t wait to see what becomes of the oldest sister in the next book. She has a hard time in this book and really needs her own happily ever after in her own book.

This is the second book of a series. Book one focuses on the middle sister Havyn. Book two focuses on Madysen.

The two sisters, along with their older sister Whitney, have formed a musical group of sorts that plays at one place in town. They take care of their ailing grandfather. He’s had a stroke and needs them. It’s his dairy that they live on and run.

But the big surprise comes when the father who they have believed dead for quite some time shows up on their doorstep. He’s not dead. And he has another family. Add to that that he wants to reconcile and things can get very emotional. Especially for young Madysen who was especially hurt by his leaving and death, or supposed death.

I really enjoyed this book and know you will too. While this is in a series it can be read as a stand-alone novel. Of course, as always, I recommend that you read the books in order because you always get more out of the story that way.

I totally enjoyed this story! It is my first time reading a book by both Tracie Peterson and Kimberley Woodhouse writing together (I have read them separately!). It is the second book in their Treasures of Nome series, and I believe it can be read as a standalone since I personally did not read the first book and I was not lost in this one.

I thought that both authors brought so much to this story and that it flowed just like a story should. Immersing you in with details, emotions, and best of all relatable characters. Endless Mercy is about what its name implies; God’s endless mercy on us and how we are called to show that same mercy time and time again. The characters were realistic, and I liked their thought processes and communications in this book. I also truly enjoyed the setting of Alaska (I mean come on, it’s ALASKA), the small-town community, and the emphasis on family always being there for you through the thick and thin. A great book that I enjoyed, I give it 4 out of 5 stars and I am definitely looking forward to reading the next book in this series (and going back to read the first!).

"Endless Merc"y by Tracie Peterson and Kimberly Woodhouse is the second in "The Treasures of Nome" series. (The first in the series is titled "Forever Hidden.") I love when I accidently request to review a second in a series without having read the first, simply because it gives me even more to read! This series was not only interesting and engaging, but I absolutely loved the historical setting and details, the accuracy makes the story all the more engaging and leaves me “googling” questions about the time period and setting of the story. The story itself had just the right amount of adventure, unexpected twists but a great steadiness provided by the character development.

Peterson and Woodhouse make an excellent pair and I have found myself seeking out stories by them. Their characters are dynamic and interesting and the relationships between them are not only realistic but inspiring. The faith component in these stories is strong and woven essentially into not only the story but the conversations and characters’ internal monologues.

The sisters in these stories are so different from each other and yet I found them both relatable and believable. I loved watching the relationships develop as the individual young women evolve and learn more about themselves and their family. The story is tragic and yet hopeful. Peterson and Woodhouse did a wonderful job of marrying the challenge of life with the hope that faith can provide; and the integration of music in this series added a fresh and fun element.

Honestly I was left wanting to visit Alaska and to find more stories set during the 1904 gold-rush. I truly felt like I was on the farm with Havyn, Madysen, and Whitney. The Powell sisters became friends, their beloved animals reminded me of my own. I find myself wanting to expand our chicken flock and may even name them in honor of the Powell sisters. I cannot wait until the third installment is released, January 2022 seems like a lifetime to wait.

Is it possible to forgive a father that you had believed dead, but who had apparently left you, your sisters, and your mother years ago because he loved alcohol more? How do you overcome the grief of losing a mother who loved music and encouraged you to share your God-given musical talents with others? If you're one of the three Powell sisters, you depend on each other as you struggle with these emotions. Endless Mercy is a lovely story that shows the wonderful bond between Whitney, Havyn, and Madysen Powell and the strong Christian upbringing that they have been given. It also shows the struggle that the youngest sister Madysen faces as she contemplates leaving Nome, Alaska, for a musical career elsewhere. Is it God's will for her to leave her grandfather and sisters, not to mention a young man who offers her strength and comfort? Would she really be comfortable performing in a traveling show?

Authors Tracie Peterson and Kimberley Woodhouse have written a touching historical novel that focuses on the deep love between siblings. Endless Mercy realistically shows their grief for their mother and their bitterness for their father but this book is never depressing. It is, instead, a story of hope, forgiveness, and the marvelous gift of mercy. If you're looking for a heartwarming Christian romance that gives you all of the feels, you will want to read Endless Mercy!
