This is the perfect winter book set in snowy mountains with elaborate caves in Montana before it was part of the states. It's the story of Laura who is seen in the previous book about Joanna and a continuation of the characters you've already met. (It could stand alone, but would be helpful to read the first two.)
With plenty of injuries Doc Micah is kept busy and it's a different type of survival story than the others. I feel like there was more emotion and healing from the past in this one where the plot may not have been as intense. I felt so much more of what the characters felt. These kind of books always make we want to live in in a cabin, or in this case a cave in the mountains. Another adventure story I"ve come to expect from Misty M. Beller.

Faith’s Mountain Home was a very nice conclusion to the Hearts of Montana series. If you have read book two in the series, Love’s Mountain Quest, you will recognize Laura as the woman who was kidnapped in that story. You will also recognize Nate as one of the men who was part of the gang that kidnapped Laura. At the beginning of this novel, the reader learns that Nate has turned his life around and is devoted to doing what is right, making reparations, and growing in his new faith in God.

I really enjoyed seeing the romance develop between Nate and Laura. Nate felt undeserving of Laura after all that had happened. Laura was a very forgiving person and it was sweet to see their friendship begin to develop into love.

Laura and Nate’s caring natures really showed through in this novel. They worked so hard to take care of Bright Sun and Eagle Soaring, and also spent a lot of time and energy to help Nate’s twin brother as he healed from his leg injury. It was also great to catch up with other characters from the first two books. Very enjoyable read!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

The author has given us a wonderful conclusion to the Hearts of Montana series. The detailed scenery makes you feel like you are on that mountain side along with the well developed characters as they work through the past to find a future in Settler’s Fort, Montana.

The physical pain as well as unforgiveness felt by Aaron, due to poor choices, was palpable. It seemed to be impossible to help him, even if you were his twin brother, Nate. Finding a cave with its own mysteries gives Laura and Nate a chance to focus on helping someone else. Between danger, kidnapping and surprises the story brings the reader around to a lovely end to this series where forgiveness and trusting in the Lord make all the difference.

An ARC was received through Baker Publishing Group and NetGalley. The rating, impressions and comments are my own and were in no way solicited.

Faith’s Mountain Home is a welcomed addition to the Hearts of Montana series by master storyteller Misty Beller. It hooked me from the first page, held me fast to the last page, and left me smiling. Even though it is part of a series, this book works well as a stand-alone. In this narrative, we are once again transported to the beauty and treachery of the Montana Territory in the mid 1800’s reconnecting with captivating characters from the previous two books and meeting new characters as the adventure continues. Drama, faith, romance, and a little mystery combine to make this an enjoyable, inspiring story of hope and redemption. The well-constructed plot flows smoothly at a steady pace, and the engaging characters are real and unforgettable. I loved this book and highly recommend it, the series, and the author.

I received a copy of this book in e-book form from the publisher via netgalley but am under no obligation to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.

This story warmed my heart from the first page until the last, and I was both contented and saddened when it ended. It was wonderfully written, and I felt really connected to the characters, so it wrapped up nicely. The author has a comfortable writing style that makes the read feel like a "cozy winter" read while also being drama-filled and engaging. While the story started off quiet, more and more things happened as the action picked up, so by the time I was reaching the end of the book, my mind had shifted gear and I was on the edge of my seat. As an inspirational romance, it was light on the intimacy, but the beauty of Misty Beller's writing is that you don't need that intimacy to feel the romance. It was a beautiful thing.

Laura Hannon and Nate Long have a troubled past. Nate was involved with a gang that kidnapped her, and although he tried to stop them from hurting her, things escalated and ended with her shooting his twin brother in the leg. Now they are all trying to heal from wounds, both physical and emotional, and ignore the attraction that has been blooming between Laura and Nate. Laura feels great guilt over injuring Nate's brother, and with their history, she knows nothing could ever happen between them. However, as things happen that force them together again and again, they realize that healing doesn't have to occur alone. Maybe together they can build something even better than what was there before.

Nate was a sweetheart, and I wish I had read the second book in this series to get more backstory on his participation with the gang. He seemed to be caught in the middle, between doing the right thing and supporting his brother, but when a woman became involved, along with the little boy she was in charge of, he drew the line. He had worked so hard to not only heal himself but also make up for the things the gang stole from others, which meant making his own shelter, hunting for food, and taking on a dangerous job to make more money. While I felt bad for him, I also was really proud of his strength and determination to right a wrong, especially a wrong that didn't seem to be his to own. Laura was a quiet yet strong-willed woman, and it was interesting to see both sides of her come out at different times. She wasn't loud or arrogant, and so when she spoke out, people listened to her. She truly cared for other people, even those who had done her wrong, and her compassion was endless. I loved when she and Nate worked together on a common goal, and his brother was a great antagonist throughout the story, providing another perspective that I think we could all understand.

Now that I realized I skipped a book, I will definitely be going back to read the second in the series. The first was amazing and easily an enjoyable read for all, as was this one.

Have you ever finished reading a book that you enjoyed, but when it was over you find that you don't have much to say about it? Well, that's kind of where I am with Faith's Mountain Home. I enjoyed it. I read it quickly. When I first finished it, I thought I would probably give it 4 stars but the more I was trying to figure out what to write in my review about it the more I began to waver in my rating.

Laura was a very prominent character in the prior book of this series. During that book, she was kidnapped while babysitting her friend's son. Laura went through a lot and she's still emotionally affected by the kidnapping. One of the biggest reasons why is that she shot one of the kidnappers in the leg. She was aiming for the leader but Aaron got in the way. Aaron's twin brother Nate was also a member of the gang, but he was not involved in the kidnapping and worked against the rest of the gang as much as he could once he found out about it. Aaron is now healing at the home of the local doctor who was the main male character from the first book in this series. Laura is also living there and working as a nurse and assistant of sorts. This puts her in the path of Aaron frequently as well as his twin brother Nate.

Between books 2 and 3, Nate has turned his life over to God and is working to become a changed man. He's paying off the debts he owes to those he's stolen from. And he's working hard to build a future for himself and his brother. He's attracted to Laura, but he can't imagine that she would want to have anything to do with him considering his role in the gang that kidnapped her or because his twin brother was even more instrumental in her kidnapping than he was.

As I stated already, I enjoyed Faith's Mountain Home perfectly fine. I liked the characters, the story, the conflict. I was satisfied with all of the pieces. Nothing exactly felt lacking. But at the same time, when all is said and done, I don't find that I have much to say about it. It wasn't exceptional. It was far from bad. I can't imagine that the series will continue as the past pattern has been to set up the characters of the upcoming book within the current book and other than Aaron having the potential to be the leading male of an upcoming book, there was no lady introduced.

Favorite quotes:
-Perhaps living in hopeful ignorance was better than the murder of hope...

-"Choose with your mind first, then your heart will follow."

-"I know you said you've chosen to forgive Aaron. I also know from experience that making the choice can still mean it takes a while to finish the forgiving part. Especially when that person keeps on causing pain."

Faith's Mountain Home was good. I liked it. I read it basically within a day. I didn't want to stop reading when I needed to, and I was always anxious to get back to it. I originally thought I would rate it as 4 Stars, but the more I thought about it after, I realized that I just don't have much to say about it which leaves me feeling like 3.5 Stars is more appropriate for me. Have you read Faith's Mountain Home? What did you think? Let me know!

Faith's Mountain Home is an exciting story! Laura, is living with the town doctor and his wife as an extra helper, and there is a patient, Aaron, that she herself had shot in the leg, so he can't walk and he blames her. Aaron has a twin brother, Nate, who becomes a dear friend to Laura. There is a lot of excitement in the story, and I really enjoyed reading it! Very clean story!

This is a well written book that hooks you on the first page. It's a beautiful inspirational story that the author brings to life with her words. You can see the scenery, feel all of the emotions and the characters come to life. It's a book that once you start reading it you don't want to stop. I hated to see this book end. If you like Christian Historical fiction that has drama, suspense and romance you will love this book. Thank you Bethany House and Misty M. Beller via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

Faith’s Mountain Home was a fast read like all Misty Beller’s books...and the story jumps right in..so of course I loved it! From the very beginning you fall for all the characters. You can read this book alone but it does have characters from the previews books, which I loved reading about their lives now. This book brings you right into the story and I know you will love it as much as I did!! It’s a clean romance with action and adventure.
Laura and Nate know each other from previous books when she was kidnapped by a gang Nate and his brother Aaron were apart of...he’s working to repay their debts. Aaron was shot in the leg by accident so he can not help him and he’s in the clinic where Laura happens to work.
While Aaron works on his recovery..Laura and Nate help an old Indian and his granddaughter. They got separated from their tribe and are living in a cave. Caring for these two brings Laura and Nate closer together and
they realize how much they care for each other. They all have a difficult past to over come but with God’s love and guidance they can make it!

This book was quite different from the other titles that I have read from this author. But I totally loved it just I have her other books. She is an amazing author. Her characters were so interesting and the warmth you feel while reading about them is sweet and enjoyable.
I love the Christian themes along the way and I personally found myself writing down some meaningful quotes from this book. You could see God's Hands in the actions of the characters as they interacted with one another. It was a definite feel-good book and I love that. What a beautiful story!

I was given a complimentary copy from NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

I think this might be my favorite of the series. It was hard for me to put it down. This story is a continuation from the previous book. Laura was kidnapped in the previous book and had accidentally injured Nate's brother when she was being rescued from being kidnapped. Nate had a criminal past and is doing everything he can to pay restitution to those he has stolen from. Laura is helping the Doc in town and one of his patients happens to be Nate's brother, whom she injured. This story has a strong Christian message. It has a message of forgiveness and new life in Christ. This was a sweet Christian romance.

I enjoyed this book very much. It is the next book in the series and one of the great things about it is that is also a stand alone book. Meaning that you get to reconnect with characters you enjoyed from previous volumes but at the same time you get a complete story, no cliffhangers, no feeling that there should be more to the story. I enjoyed very much the setting both the place and timeframe. I enjoyed the pace of the story and I thought the characters were very well developed. Also no profanity and no sexually explicit dialogue. Yet, it was very much a romance but so much more.

The third in the Hearts of Montana series finds Laura out exploring the beauty of the mountains trying to overcome the thoughts of her previous kidnapping. When Laura sprains her ankle while checking out a hidden cavern, she will have to depend on Nate to help her. As Laura and Nate grow closer, both will have issues to overcome. I love the caring the main characters have for others in this story. Historical Montana, with native Americans, robbers and frontier life makes for a good story. Hope to read more about Doc Micah and has wife. Recommended!

FAITH'S MOUNTAIN HOME by MISTY M. BELLER is a historical romance novel that takes place in Settler's Fort, Montana Territory, in 1867. It is part of a trilogy but can easily stand alone.
The story starts with Laura Hannon and Nate Long discovering a cave in the mountains, which contains a secret, and where even more secrets are to unfold. It is an exciting and inspirational read with a good story, great characters and a strong Christian message of forgiveness, perseverance and of doing good to others.
I highly enjoyed Faith's Mountain Home and highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys this genre.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Bethany House Publishers. The opinions in this review are completely my own.

It's a hard thing to come into the middle of a series, but even harder still to come in at the end. It's like watching the last season of a television series having never watched any of the previous episodes. That's what I did in choosing to read Faith's Mountain Home. I also assumed that the lead character in the book was named Faith, but her name is Laura.

Laura lives with the local doctor and helps out in his practice for room and board. Nate's brother, Aaron is staying there, too, waiting for his leg to heal from the gunshot that Laura inflicted upon him. In an earlier book in this series, Laura was kidnapped by Aaron and Nate and a group of bandits. Laura always carries a pistol with her since she's basically alone. While most of the gang who kidnapped Laura were hanged, but Aaron and Nate were sentenced to restitution. While Aaron has been laid up, Nate has been working in a mine saving his earnings to pay their debt.

In a bid for some adventure, Laura goes hiking up a nearby mountain and finds a cave. She doesn't have enough light to truly explore the cave, but Nate had the same idea and meets Laura in the cave. They decide to come back with lanterns and explore the cave further and these events lead to a beautiful friendship that develops into something more.

This was a sweet book with a lot to offer, but it would have been best to have read the whole series. That does not detract from the quality of Misty M Beller's writing. Her descriptions and the movement of the plot are spot on for an entertaining read. The title of the book refers more to the faith of Nate and Laura finding its home within each of them, which is a great way to look at things. Four strong stars.

Bethany House and NetGalley.com provided the copy I read for this review. All opinions expressed are my own.

A magical ending to a thrilling, inspiring, and romantic series! Faith’s Mountain Home will keep readers hooked from the first pages, with Misty M. Beller’s exceptional talent for detail and storytelling.

Beller excels at showing the struggles of the human spirit in an awe-inspiringly realistic manner, and each character will leave a distinct impression on the reader. There are plenty of moments of exquisite romantic tension, as well as beautifully inspirational lessons. Readers will love seeing familiar faces from the first two books in the series, and I really hope we see more of Aaron in a future story!

Though I’m sad to see this series end, I could not have asked for a better conclusion. Nate and Laura’s story is perfect for fans of authors such as Jody Hedlund and Melissa Jagears, and I highly encourage readers to read everything Beller writes! 5/5 stars

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

'God had forgiven him but truly putting the past behind him was a whole other matter.'

Misty Beller just keeps getting better and better. I love history and she writes this time period very well indeed. She gives us unforgettable characters with a good plot, and a little mystery thrown in for good measure. It was good to see old friends from the previous two books in the series. This novel can be read as a stand alone, however, so don't hesitate to get it! Highly recommended.

My thanks to Bethany House Publishing for a copy of this book via Net Galley. I was not compensated and the opinion in this review is my own.

When Nate Long first laid eyes on Laura Hannon it wasn't the best of situations. His brother Aaron has been a participant in the kidnapping of Miss Hannon along with a young boy from a robbery gone bad. He wanted no part of it but before he could safely save her and the boy there was a shootout and his brother was shot and badly wounded. Their begins Nate and Laura's story.

This is such a good story that has a little of everything. There are challenges that both Nate and Laura are facing but with each passing day they become closer and their past seems to be getting farther away. They both have challenges with Aaron and his healing and it takes them both to get through to him. There is danger lurking and not sure where it is coming from and mystery of a cave. These characters endure a lot and they keep going with determined strength and faith.

This series is an ongoing series so this book doesn't end with Nate and Laura's story finishing, it will continue on and the characters continue to grow and build. It's not a cliffhanger but just an ongoing story of all the characters that we get to follow. I really am enjoying it as it's like having a window into the past and to be along for their journey.

I received an early copy from Netgalley to read and review with my honest opinion. I loved this book and highly recommend it. It has lots to offer and keeps your attention throughout. Very well written and takes you back in time to a point of our history where times were hard and your faith was what got you through the toughest of times.

This is a really beautiful story taking place in a small town called Settler's Fort nestled in the Montana mountains. From the descriptions the author has used I think this would be an absolutely beautiful place to live. With the mountains so close that you can go out and explore to your heart's content. This is exactly what Laura is doing at the first of this book. She has been through many terrible things in her life but one of the things she loves to do to get a rest from the memories and the things happening in her life even now, is to climb and explore. It is on one of these adventures that she comes across 2 native Americans who are in need. When she takes a tumble and is in need herself, the twin brother of the angry man at the clinic she helps at comes to her rescue. Nate is a man with a heavy load on his life. He is trying to repay people for the mistakes he has made, while trying to get his brother back on his feet. The characters in this story are very easy to come to care about. The main characters Laura and Nate both have troubles they need to overcome. Doc Micah and his wife Ingrid are also major players in this story. I enjoyed hearing how Doc was able to work on a shattered bone at this time in history when there was no where the knowledge we have today. This story does have romance, suspense and mystery all rolled into the lives of the people in this story. There are also beautiful views of how the people in this time period put their trust in God. I really enjoyed this book and I would definitely enjoy if it would turn into a series. I would enjoy reading more about grandpa Eagle Soaring and his eight year old granddaughter Bright Sun. I would like to know if Laura finds her purpose in life and if Ingrid is ok. A really interesting book that I would recommend to anyone that likes reading about this time in history before the USA was totally formed into the various states.
I received a free download of this book from Netgalley and the publisher. This review is totally my own honest opinion.

Characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. A great story about redemption and righting wrongs, how overcoming life’s trials can be accomplished through God. The story takes the reader on a journey that can only be described as powerful and riveting. The romance is sweet and clean, showing chivalry at its finest. The characters show Gods love through actions of caring and putting oneself last. The author uses a geological formation in a cave to wrap this story all in one neat package while keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. So much to love about this book, love, action, mystery and Indians. This is a beautiful story that will touch every corner of your heart!
