A touching story line that will leave you smiling one moment and completely riled up the next. It is very difficult to choose sides when both love the same dog. I know it would impossible for anyone to convince me they could take better care of my pups. And of course, that fine line between love and hate can be erased when take a critical look at the guy next door. A great read for me.

Heartwarming, adorable, engaging, and really everything you could want from a feel-good contemporary romance. This book will leave you with a smile on your face and your heart singing!

This is a book written for the modern woman! A mistake leads to a meet cute which leads to potential catastrophe which leads to melt-your-heart love (and a cute pup!). Leading lady Justine Becker loves her rescue pooch Spencer. She owns a dog supplies store in upstate New York and Spencer is a hit at work—the cutest colleague you could imagine!

Meanwhile Spencer is cast in an acting role thanks to the bond between Justine and Spencer that have led to a dog who can do a whole bunch of tricks. Justine is so proud of Spencer for getting the part, and she is working to figure out a way to be a full time stage mom and full-time shop owner.

When she comes across a social media post from a man trying to locate his lost dog, she realizes the dog is a dead-ringer for her sweet Spencer. Could it be that Spencer belongs to someone else? Being the responsible and kind woman she is, Justine meets Griffin, the man who claims (and has paperwork to prove) that Spencer is his lost pip. But Justine isn’t ready to part with Spencer. Who is the rightful owner?

As Justine and Griffin compete to prove who is the better dog parent to Spencer, it turns out that they may be falling for one another. But is Griffin manipulating her so he can get his pup back? Or is this a love story that will have a happy ending for the humans and the dog?

This is a complicated and stressful situation! Both have a rightful claim to Spencer, but Griffin did own Spencer first. With Griffin’s travel schedule, Spencer never got quite the amount of investment from him as from Justine. Still, it is clear immediately that both love this dog so much.

I loved that this was a happy love story, and neither character treats the other poorly. It was refreshing! As much as I love a romance where the leads deny their attraction, or there is a misunderstanding leading to an angsty start, this one was two adults with good hearts in a tough situation trying to separate their feelings from one another from their desire to keep their dog.

I really enjoyed the storyline about Spencer and his acting career too. It was so fun to imagine being on set with your dog, seeing them shine in the spotlight! Justine was also a really great dog parent and I liked having the book told just from her perspective, rather than switching between Griffin and Justine. It made me root for Justine and be happy when it seemed like it might end up working out for all involved.

An adorable story with a heartwarming conclusion—you won’t want to miss this if you need a pick-me-up or even just want to lose yourself in a cute story for an afternoon!

Thank you to Berkley Publishing for my copy. Opinions are my own.

Thanks to Netgalley, Berkeley publishing and Victoria Schafer for this ARC. This is a sweet little story of love and romance with a bit of smiles thrown in. I loved the dog, Spencer/Leo and can’t believe how smart the author made him..I enjoyed the connection of all the characters and can see another book or two coming from them.. I never read a book if an animal dies, or continue on once it does, but because this was a make believe dog death, it worked for the storylines. A lot of this book was unbelievable with such a smart dog, but it’s a great little cozy story so it fits..

Hey folks, daddy Steve again with another doggiebook report. This one is Lost, Found, and Forever by author Victoria Schade.

This one is quite a bit different from the series I just wrote about in my previous post. No F bombs here, no guns, no violence, just dog love. It’s a rom-com type book, I really liked it. Not too cliché with some GREAT dog moments. The author is a dog trainer and it shows. Reading this one made me want to hunt her previous doggiebooks, and keep her on my radar screen for future releases.

And hey, bonus point, it’s a love story so, no, the dog doesn’t die.

Huge thanks to NetGalley who provided a free eBook advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review. This is as honest as it gets... The book is currently available to purchase.

I DNFed this book. I just couldn't get into it. Maybe I need to pick it up and try again. I was in a reading slump when I started so I think I probably just needed to pick up the right book to get me out of it and this was not that book unfortunately.

Justine owns a pet store and an adopted dog. She loves teaching Spencer tricks. An opportunity comes up for him to be in a TV series, when she sees a post on Facebook about a missing dog. She contacts the owner of the lost dog after much consideration. This starts a complex interaction with Spencer’s old owner. It is a cute story that I would have enjoyed more without the occasional bad word and semi graphic sexual scenes. It seemed very random with the language that almost felt like the author just threw it in once in awhile to keep it from being a too clean book.
Just my feelings about it.
I did like the book overall despite my personal convictions that I like to have a heads up on these things.
Thanks to NetGalley and PenguinRandom house for the uncorrected proof. I am providing my review as requested

The adorable cover makes way for a cute story about a woman and her dog, who she has trained to do tricks. She runs a pet store, but wants to do more with her life. Then one day she sees a lost dog ad and realizes it’s her dog! She had adopted him a year ago and someone was still looking for him. She contacts him and the sparks fly! They arrange to co-parent the dog and end up with a happily ever after for all of them. There was also a lot of behind the scenes of filmmaking after Spencer the dog gets cast in a Tv series. Cute little Hallmark type story with a little bit of steam.

Justine has been raising and training her lovable rescue dog Spencer for a year. He is a great advertisement for her dog treat store and catches the eye of a local producer, leading to a possible tv role. Social media, which plays such a large role in the world now, catches up with Justine when she learns she may have unknowingly adopted a lost dog that had an owner who has been searching for him all this time. Enter Griffin, Spencer's original owner. Griffin travels for work and offers to let Justine use his place while the show is shooting and gives him a chance to acquaints himself with his dog. There's a lot of emotion that raises this up from 'just' a romance. Schade writes of the training and acts of the dog so skillfully, scenes jump to life. It's easy to see why both owners would want to claim Spencer as their own.

Lost, Found, and Forever is what I have come to expect from Victoria Schade – a cute, fun, quick read with a lot of heart and an adorable dog. If you’re looking for a light-hearted rom-com, this is a good one.

Justine Becker has her hands full with her struggling pet supply store, Tricks and Biscuits, but finds joy in her beloved rescue dog, Spencer. Things are looking up when Spencer gets an audition for a television show, but a chance discovery of a social media post seeking a lost dog that looks exactly like Spencer leaves Justine in a quandary. Her unease only increases when she meets Griffin McCabe, whose dog lost Leo is undoubtedly her Spencer. Unwilling to relinquish Spencer, yet recognizing Griffin’s love for the dog, Justine navigates a delicate balance, letting Spencer be a part of Griffin’s life, but remaining fully in control. Or so she thinks.

This is definitely a cute story. Justine and Griffin bond over their mutual love of Spencer/Leo. But at the same time, there is a decided undercurrent of distrust. Is Griffin only growing closer to Justine in order to take Spencer away?

The scenes with the dog – both during the television shooting and with the warring “owners” – are the heart of this book. The book’s exploration of the intricacies of filming with a canine star are realistic and amusing. The budding romance between Justine and Griffin, too, is enjoyable and sunny. While I did enjoy the book (I read it in an afternoon), I felt the whole Spencer/Leo misunderstanding could have been resolved in a much more straightforward manner. Justine and Griffin are, after all, adults who should have been able to talk things through. Nonetheless, Lost, Found, and Forever is a charming, feel-good story that will have you smiling at the end.

Note: I received an ARC of Lost, Found, and Forever from NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group. The above is my honest review.

I thought the plot of Lost. Found, and Forever sounded so cute. I love romances with pets and interesting meet cutes. Unfortunately it was maybe too cute for my tastes right now, I might try again at another point but for now it was a DNF.

Justine owns her own pet store and is struggling to keep it afloat. She adopted Spencer a year ago and has taught him many tricks. Now she has a dog audition for him and her life is about to turn a new leaf when a social media post shows that her dog is very similar to another dog that has been missing for over a year. She agrees to meet with the man so that he can know the dog is doing well. He is wanting the dog back but their is chemistry between them and his life is chaotic with work. In the meantime Spencer maybe offered a role in a movie and this would change everything. Super cute read that also includes how dogs do work for movies.

Thank you Netgalley for a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This adorable romcom had me feeling all the warm fuzzies, and while I loved main characters Justine and Griffin, Spencer absolutely stole the show!

Lost, Found, and Forever by Victoria Schade offers a cute storyline that readers can't help but fall in love with. Justine Becker doesn't know how she's going to make ends meet with her pet store, Tricks & Biscuits. Though she has a loyal customer base and is passionate about her work and the animals she serves, the shop just isn't pulling in the revenue she needs to afford the lease, pay her one employee, Sienna, and cover living expenses. At least she has one thing she can count on: her incredible, heart-melting dog, Spencer.

Or, so she thinks. ...

When Sienna shows Justine a social media post about a lost dog that bears an uncanny resemblance to Spencer, Justine realizes her sweet and perfect rescue dog may actually belong to Griffin, a handsome, ambitious New Yorker whose heart has been broken since Spencer (aka Leo) got out of his petsitter's yard over a year ago. Griffin is still carrying a torch for Leo (Spencer), but there is no way Justine is simply handing over her dog, especially when an opportunity arises that may help her keep Tricks & Biscuits afloat! Can these two find a way to co-parent Spencer and maybe discover all they've ever wanted in the process?

I'm giving this one an enthusiastic four biscuits! I loved this dog-centered plotline (which gave me some Happy Ever After Playlist vibes!), the dynamic between Justine and Griffin, the cool behind-the-scenes look at what exactly is involved when a pet is onscreen, and of course, the wonderfulness that is Spencer! The conflicts in this novel were realistic, there was good communication, and who doesn't love it when an animal takes center stage in a book?!?

Alright Victoria, you've done it; you've hooked me, and now I'm ready to dive into Who Rescued Who!

A huge thank-you to @letstalkbookspromo @berittalksbooks @whimsicalyme and @berkley for my gifted eARC, and to Berit and Erica for leading such a sweet buddy read!

What a sweet story, as Justine happily lives her life with her rescue dog, Spencer; she realizes there another dog owner, Griffin, looking for his long lost dog that looks like Spencer.

What ensues afterwards is a cute, sweet novel of growth for two humans, learning what is most important in life, thanks to Spencer, and letting the past go to embrace a future.

This was the perfect novel to kick start my "summer is almost here" reading list. If you adore books with dogs as a character, strong female characters that overcome the past, and a little romance that doesn't stifle the main female character, then definitely grab this novel!

Dog lovers will enjoy this book about Justine Becker, who adopts Spencer, an adorable rescue dog. She has had him for several months when she comes across an ad placed by Griffin McCabe, who wants his dog back. He has the paperwork to back up his claim.
Justine is heartbroken, but realizes that she is probably going to have to give Spencer up. Griffin is willing to ease into the switch, allowing Justine to take Spencer to work on a TV show. The more the humans are around each other, the more attracted they are to each other. Does Justine believe that Griffin is just playing a part in order to get the dog back or is he really a keeper?
A fast and fun romance novel.

This is a bow-wow of a great tale! Fun read and laugh out loud moments propelled me to quickly read this tale.
Justine Becker runs a pet supply store Tricks & Biscuits,in upstate New York. She also is a dog Mommy to rescue dog Spencer. He makes her so happy and they are best friends.
One day scrolling online she sees a social media lost ad for a dog who looks just like Spencer. This is when all the chaos and commotion starts. When she meets up with Brooklyn-based Griffin McCabe her worst fears are realized when he says the dog is his and he has the papers to prove it.
What follows is a comedy of errors, as each tries to prove the dog is solely theirs.
She's not going to let Spencer go without a fight.
If only she could stay mad at Griffin and didn't seem to be distracted by falling for him.
Delightful and fun to read!

With an adorable pup on the cover, Lost, Found and Forever by Victoria Schade immediately due my eye. The story was charming. It was a quick and pleasant read.

This was SUCH a sweet rom com novel – and since I just adopted a dog in November, I could totally relate! My only quibble was that it was pretty clear early on who Spencer was going to end up with, where the book description made it sound like that was the question. The book was a little bit more predictable than I would have liked (even the “big reveal” of Justine’s PTSD was hinted at enough that it wasn’t much of a surprise), but I still enjoyed it and read it in just two nights. Definitely recommend, and I’ll be looking for more by this author!

This book was just the right palate cleanser for me after reading 3 consecutive suspense thrillers! I enjoyed reading about Spencer the dog and the romance between his pet parents, Justine and Griffin. The author was so good in writing about the dynamics between Justine and Spencer that it made me want to adopt a dog too! This coming from scaredycat me — I’m terrified of furry pets! But seriously, it was fascinating reading about how talented Spencer was, especially the tricks he can do, and his filming scenes after he was cast in a tv series. I think I enjoyed those more than the steamy scenes between Justine and Griffin hahaha! Both Justine and Griffin were relatable characters with real life issues. I’m glad the story did not involve too much drama or conflict so the focus between being pet parents were not overshadowed. This book is perfect if you love dogs and enjoy a light read with a bit of romance. It is a delightful read that will surely bring a smile to your face and brighten up your day. 🐶💖👱🏻💖🧑🏻‍🦱

This author is new to me, and I was not disappointed! The storyline centers around Justine and her dog, Spencer, who she adopted a year ago. She soon learns there's a man looking for his dog, "Leo," who went missing about a year ago who fits Spencer's description. This very captivating story will fill you with emotions from happiness, sadness, anticipation, and everything in between. I was on the edge of my seat! I felt like I knew the characters personally. Could not put it down! Highly recommend!
