This is a super fun, small town mystery. A very easy read, but, be careful, it will make you hungry! Recipes included, are awesome.

Thank you Netgalley for the advance copy. Having read Murder Most Sweet I was looking forward to the next Teddie St John book and this one did not disappoint. The story starts when Teddie enters the annual baking competition. The head judge is found murdered in the competition tent and the murder weapon is Teddie's rolling pin. A great adventure unfolds as Teddie and her friends set out to clear her name.

Deadly Delights by Laura Jensen Walker was an advance reader copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Teddie gets pinched in the butt while picking up her Norwegian rolling pin off the floor. She hits the pincher with her rolling pin, unfortunately he's a judge for the baking contest. Lester, the head judge, is found by Teddie with his face in a cream pie. Teddie and her friends help her in looking for the killer. Lester's wife keeps passing around gossip that Teddie is the killer.
I love reading about the Norwegian/Scandinavian food. I had kringles and fattigman growing up. Always love it when I read a new author I can really connect with. Will have to look for more of Laura Jensen Walker's books. I loved the recipes at the end of the story.

Suspect Number One...
The second in the Bookish Baker series of mysteries. A pie eating contest ends in murder when one of the Judges is found face down in a coconut cream pie. Teddie unwittingly becomes suspect number one. How will she extricate herself from this predicament? Enjoyable and entertaining cosy with endearing characters and an equally endearing setting.
