This was the second in this series and while I enjoyed the first book, I felt like this one was even better. I liked the character development of the main character. In this book, we didn't get a constant barrage about her breast cancer, just an occasional mention. The story moved along well and actually we were kept jumping as one revelation was then overturned by another. Once you think it is over, it isn't! So there are some surprises in a good way.

I loved Deadly Delights by Laura Benson Walker. It was a roller Coaster ride of twists and turns and murder and mayhem. Loved the plot, the characters and the plot line. Can't wait to read the first book in the series. By the way I liked Deadly Delights so much that I preordered the book in hard bound to add to my bookshelf.

I love the Great British Baking show so I had to read this book. Teddy St John is an author, baker and sometimes sleuth. During the baking competition Teddy has a run in with the head judge Lester-the molester, who is later found dead. Killed with Teddy's rolling pin. Thus starts our mystery. I was not sure in the beginning if I was going to like this book. It is the second book in the series and it starts out not only expecting you to know the characters but there are a lot of references to the previous book. I was struggling to keep everyone and their back stories straight. Once I got into the story though I could not put it down. This book has very unusual but interesting characters and a nice twisty plot. I would recommend starting with Murder Most Sweet first, but all in all a great read. I am off to read the first book now.

I loved it! Teddie is such a fun character. Her friends are a hoot. I love that she is comfortable in being herself. She is participating in a Bake contest when the head judge is murdered. His wife is certain it was teddy since he was killed with her rolling pin. Her friends help her in finding the real killer and clearing her name.

This is a super fun, small town mystery. A very easy read, but, be careful, it will make you hungry! Recipes included, are awesome.

The story starts when Teddie enters the annual baking competition. The head judge is found murdered in the competition tent and the murder weapon is Teddie's rolling pin. A great adventure unfolds as Teddie and her friends set out to clear her name.

Teddie gets pinched in the butt while picking up her Norwegian rolling pin off the floor. She hits the pincher with her rolling pin, unfortunately he's a judge for the baking contest. Lester, the head judge, is found by Teddie with his face in a cream pie. Teddie and her friends help her in looking for the killer. Lester's wife keeps passing around gossip that Teddie is the killer.
I love reading about the Norwegian/Scandinavian food. I had kringles and fattigman growing up. Always love it when I read a new author I can really connect with. Will have to look for more of Laura Jensen Walker's books. I loved the recipes at the end of the story.
