This book delivered most everything I look for in a romance. (1) A hot and sexy hero, with enough charisma to make any woman take notice. Kemp, a hardworking rancher and volunteer firefighter with a big heart that he tries to hide, certainly fills that role. (2) A strong heroine who can hold her own against a man’s will, and who is brave enough to follow her convictions. She also has to have a good heart that the hero can win. Violet is definitely strong willed, determined and brave. She quit her job to follow her dreams of establishing a dating service, and set her mind to having Kemp be the visible face of her service. (3) A storyline that holds your interest and makes you want to know more. This book certainly provides that, though a few sub plots or incidents do fall a little short. Reading about the chemistry between Kemp and Violet, his determination to refuse her offer, but somehow coming around to her way of thinking is fascinating. Despite her lies about knowing about ranch work, Violet gives the experience everything she’s got, winning Kemp’s approval, his admiration and his heart which satisfies my own romantic heart. I found the conclusion to be very enjoyable. This book was very entertaining and captivating.

I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Violet Ashwood goes to Wildcat Bluff County in search of hunky cowboy, "Mr. July," to be the face of her new online matchmaking website and dating app. She's put her lifesavings on the line, quit her job, and gone all in to pursue her dreams, so there is no room for error. Kemp Lander is in a similar situation, putting it on the line for his new ranch. When the renter of his cabin turns out to be Violet, she will stop at nothing to convince him to be her model.

I love a good cowboy romance, but this one fell flat for me. It had a ton of potential, but there was a lot of time spent talking about chocolate and worrying over a pregnant cow. I did enjoy's Kemp's interactions with Violet and how he purposely pushed her buttons from afar. I also liked how Violet was painted as a sassy and determined "city girl," but really rolled up her sleeves and got to work on the ranch with Kemp at her side.

3.5⭐

Cowboy Fire is the eighth book in Kim Redford's Smokin' Hot Cowboy Series yet it's only the second one I've read. And I liked the story, as it was well-written, extremely descriptive, and full of whimsy, as well as eccentric and interesting characters. Not to mention a romance that was sweet and just steamy enough.

However, I did find it a tad unrealistic, as everything romance wise seemed to happen at warp speed and there was no big drama or a major thread to really hold my attention. But saying that it was a nice read and I'm sure fans of the series who know these characters inside and out will really enjoy it.

Cowboy Fire by Kim Redford is a sexy cowboy romance that is sure to heat the pages and leave you wanting more.  There wasn’t any friction and complications to the relationship. They had it all kind of flowed without hiccups which were a little unrealistic to me. I just needed a little more, but I will definitely give this author another try.

This book had plenty of potential but somehow it just didn't work It sort of limped along there was no major thread to keep my attention A sweet romance but that is basically all it was

Kemp is a rancher who is also a firefighter and he was Mr July is a firefighter calendar Now Violet is determined that he will be the face of her dating app. Can a city girl and a man of the land find common ground You will have to read to see

This was a struggle to read. I found it to be a little hokey & not my kind of read. I thought I would try something new, but this one didn’t work out. This is more of a romance story without action or suspense. I don’t think the writing or plot is bad, just not my preference. If you enjoy a straight forward romance without action, suspense or conflict you will really like this.

I feel bad because I know how much work authors put into their stories, but for me, this was just awful. Nothing about this worked for me. The characters, the plot, the writing, it was all comically bad. I'm grateful for the laughs I had while reading it, but I think I need to step away from reading cowboy romances for a while.

Cowboys, firefighters, steamy and cute romance. What more could you need in a book? Thoroughly enjoyed this from start to finish. Big city girl with small town cowboy is one of my all time favorite tropes, it’s hard to get just right but this book did it! Highly recommend.

Violet has her heart set on setting up an online dating website, and has only 1 man in mind to promote it. Mr. July (Kemp) was pictured in a firefighter calendar, and Violet can't think of anyone hotter than him for her site. Until she meets him in person...

For love of cows and bulls. While Cowboy Fire, is not all about Fernando and Daisy Sue, we do get a background into what's going on with them currently.
Neither Kemp or Violet are looking for love. Violet just wants to find the face of her new dating site. Kemp fits that bill perfectly. She just has to persuade him and along the way help him to find the trespassers that are digging up his land. Cowboy Fire, was a fun book to read I enjoyed it very much.

This was an okay read. I loved how they have Kemp, a firefighting rancher, who is kind and patient but also good looking. You also have violet, who it coming from the city, who is try to convince Kemp to be on her dating site. Violet was initially out of her element as a city girl who did know much about ranching but she caught on quick. I definitely like the idea of the book but it didn’t really grab my attention. The attraction and love that Violet and Kemp had took me by surprise. They both fell for each other rather quickly, it was love at first sight but they were cautious at first as well. They were both immediately all in with the relationship once they decided to pursue what they were feeling, which was pretty quick. There wasn’t any friction and complications to the relationship they had it all kind of flowed without hiccups which was a little unrealistic to me. I just needed a little more but I will definitely give this author another try.

Violet needs a cowboy for her new lonely hearts online dating service and after seeing Mr. July aka Kemp on the Wildcat Bluff Fire Rescue's annual benefit calendar, she decides he is it. The only thing she now needs is his agreement and to get it she has come to Wildcat Buff county and even rented a cottage so that she can work on her website.
What she doesn’t expect is his outright refusal and then him to turn out to be her landlord.
This was an interesting read. I enjoyed the info into the speak easy era and the finds, the relationship development between Violet and Kemp, and Fernando and Daisy Sues pregnancy. Storm seemed pretty matured for a 9 year old. And the tragedy that keeps happening with the chocolates was hilarious.

Shouldering. Smoking hot. Kemp is a keeper. I was addicted To him after the first paragraph as Violet gazed in his picture as Mr. July. He turns out to be Mr. Everything. A cowboy, firefighter, who wants a serious relationship. Completely swoon worthy. I loved the location, all the descriptions of Texas in early spring. I am partial to Texas and Texas men. I did think the capture of the two ranch culprits was ridiculous, even for fiction. Storm was unbelievable as a 9 year old as well. Despite those two items, reading this book was pure joy as I went up in smoke with all,the male magnetism it contained.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Violet wants to meet Mr July aka Kemp. When she meets him he wants nothing to do with her. I enjoyed the chemistry between Violet and Kemp.

Good book! This book was sweet and had some heartfelt moments! It almost seemed like it should have been a squeaky clean read but when it comes to the bedroom scenes they have some heat to them?! So it was an interesting read! I enjoyed reading about the Speak easy era and all the cool things they found! Its definitely an interesting read! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
