This book, while a really enjoyable read, for me, it skirted a little too close to romance cliches. This book was somewhat light on plot (though the plot was timely and culturally relevant), had a level of insta-love that was almost ridiculous, worked the “mysterious woman with a tragic past” angle way too hard and wrapped up in a perfect neat bow that didn't have much to do with the rest of the book’s events.

However, it was still a rollicking great read. The sci-fi/fantasy aspect allows a suspension of disbelief that makes all of the above work. Why is he in love immediately? Nanos. Why is she suddenly not herself at all? Nanos. Why is the entire extended family magically there to make the plot move along? Nanos. Add in the real fantasy that all these Immortals are also independently wealthy, genius level smart and perfect physical specimens...this is a world in which you want to live!

If you want a classic romance-genre sci-fi/fantasy, this is a great read...just secure your “supernatural romance fiction” hat securely as you start.

I absolutely love this series so when I saw this book was available I immediately requested it. I also was really excited after reading the description and how different it was from the latest books because I feel like they haven't had to explain the whole immortal thing in a while so it was fun to have that. I really liked this one, it was cute and sweet. I liked the plot because it was really different than any other in this series. I find it incredible that Lynsay Sands after so many in these series is still able to come up with such original stories. Though I think at this point I need a family tree of some sort because I'm not sure how everyone's related though I love that Marguerite is everywhere. I'm waiting for us to go back to Port Henry to see what's going on with Stephanie though. I think my only real issue with the whole book was the pacing. It moved too slowly in the beginning but the end was almost too fast. Overall, it was really good!

Lynsay Sands has written another compelling vampire romance. Super good writing and characters. ENjoyed immensely.

The book starts with a fire and gets hotter from there. Immortal Mac meets internal affairs cop CJ after his newly rented home burns down with him in it. There are immediate sparks between the two but CJ is reluctant to start anything because of her troubled past. This book has so many swoon worthy moments. This is another great addition to this series.

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I absolutely adore Lynsay Sands! This is another great read. I laughed out loud several times. One of my favorite character Bricker is in this one which is amazing! Definitely a must read for the immortal lovers!
