What a brilliant start to this new series from Melissa. Not only do we get to meet some new characters we get to see some old favourites again.

Melissa brought her trademark sweet romance filled with heart and emotion.

I have loved her previous male characters but Aiden is my favourite so far. He brought the serious swoon factor. He was perfect for Abby. Even though they are opposites they compliment each other.

I can't wait to see how this series plays out and if someone can knock Aiden off the top spot.

From the first moment they met ~ to the final page…I loved Aiden and Abby! I enjoyed the way they met, the heat, the storyline, and the island! I think Author Melissa Foster does an incredible job writing a good blend of everything that makes up a good romance and Maybe We Will is no exception.

A workaholic and a recently unemployed chef come together in this romance filled with secrets, heartbreak, strength, history and family. The side characters (some of which are in this authors previous books/series) are a fun addition to this read! 4.5 stars!

This is a wonderful spin off and I have been waiting for quite some time for Aiden to get his HEA! I am so happy he found it with Abby. Abby returned to Silver Island along with her sister Deirdra after their mom passed away and discovered a sister they never knew! I just loved Abby's huge heart in welcoming Cait to their sisterhood and how they included her in all the decisions. Abby decided that after leaving her job and mediocre boyfriend to reopen her family's bistro on the island. Aiden was enjoying breakfast on the patio and they had an instant attraction. Both have things in common as both lost their parents and relied on their siblings. I just adored how much Aiden believed in Abby and encouraged her to do her best with reopening the bistro and doing his best to help her. After Aiden raised his younger sister I kept hoping he'd meet a special someone and Abs is the perfect person for him.

This book hooked me from the beginning and I just could not put it down. Abby and Aiden are a wonderful couple and I loved the way that their relationship developed in this book. I cannot wait for the next installment of this series. I was also a fan of Deidre and cannot wait until we get her story. I have not yet read all of the previous books set on Silver Island, so I cannot wait to go back and read those! Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy of the book.

"I fell in love with you like night takes over day - soaking up every little thing you did and said, until you were all I saw, all I wanted. Until you were so much a part of me, I no longer knew how to be me without you."

Maybe We Will is an emotional ride about healing from past heartache and moving forward and going after buried dreams. A story that will give you all the good feels and give you island fever by the end of the story.

Aiden is a workaholic who has been forced by his sister to take a much-needed vacation so she sends him to Silver Island and creates a "Let Loose List" for him to complete on his month-long vacation. While enjoying his morning coffee and newspaper, a beautiful woman comes running into his life, literally, and he is taken by her. When he finds out she is the part-owner of The Bistro and her dreams for the business, he tells her to turn down the investor who wants to purchase the business, which is him, and he makes it his mission to help her bring her dream to life. Island life has changed Aiden and the way he views things that are important.

Abby has returned to Silver Island with her sister to take care of their mother's estate to find out that they have a half-sister that they never knew about. Abby goes for a run to see The Bistro, their family's restaurant. When it comes into view she realizes that she wants to bring back the magic that it once was. When she comes around the corner of The Bistro she runs into a man enjoying his coffee and newspaper on the patio of the restaurant. She starts talking to him and opens up to him completely and helps him to enjoy his "Let Loose List".

There were many things that I enjoyed but there were also things that I struggled with. I experienced tears of heartbreak and tears of joy during the story. Aiden and Abby were adorable together. I loved their connection and the way they complimented each other. As an avid reader, I enjoyed the way past characters are connected into the story and new ones are introduced that we are sure to get to know better in the future. I struggled with the length of the story. I felt that it was a little too long and that it seemed to drag along at points. There were a lot of extras that probably could have been omitted and we still would have got the full story. The other struggle was a personal trigger for me.

Trigger Warning: alcoholism

Audio: Aiden was great as usual and did a great job with bringing Aiden and his part of the story to life. In the first book I listened to by Jennifer, I was not sold to her but she changed my view as Abby.

Aiden is rich. His sister is/was a major star and he was her manager. He’s also an investor. Abby doesn’t know this when she meets him, and he waits to tell her. She’s on the island to reopen her parents’ bistro. He’s there for a four-week vacation that his sister conned him into. Abby and Aiden fall for each other (of course), and then life gets in the way. I really liked the way Aiden wanted to help Abby in every adventure. I also liked the way Abby pushed Aiden to have fun. They are good together. The remodel, the secondary characters, and the crossover characters will bring this book and this new series into your heart and mind. It’s not easy to forget. I think this is a great start for a new series, and Melissa Foster does not disappoint.

Such a fun premise for a story when Aiden’s sister Remi creates a let loose list for him to complete while on vacation. I think it’s safe to say Aiden would have never stuck with the list had he not met Abby and her wanting to help him complete his list. There’s chemistry, there’s fun, there’s romance and even a little mystery (um, can you say unknown sister?) and of course there’s a bit of drama happening in this story. It all ties together for a great read. I really like that Aiden got this particular happy ending. I fell in love with his character while reading Reno’s book. Aiden and Abby have a lot in common and a few bumps in the road to overcome and learn and the learning to grow together and support each other through those times is what makes them perfect for each other. Quite a few parts of this book really resonated with me.

Maybe We Will by Melissa Foster
Silver Harbor #1

Family, friends, and romance are the core of Ms Foster’s books. She tends to have many characters creating community and each book in a series brings happiness to one couple at a time. They are warm, caring and heartfelt stories that are fun to relax with and delve into.

What I liked:
* The sisters: individually different but united, there for one another, fun to watch interact, all have backstories that make them the interesting strong women they are.
* Abby: main female lead in this story, chef, youngest sister, positive, creative, dreamer, truth seeker, independent – good with and for Aiden
* Aiden: financier, big business guru, investment wizard, workaholic, on vacation, has trouble relaxing, meets his mate in and is good with and for Abby
* Deirdre: middle sister but older sister to Abby, lawyer, conflicted, angry, loving, cares about her sisters, good friend – want to know more about her.
* Cait: the sister first met in this story by the other two sisters, tattooist, artist, creative, finds roots and family with Deirdre and Abby, intriguing – want to know more about her.
* The island setting
* getting to see characters I have read books about before
* Shelley Steele and the Bra Brigade – good friends, supportive, maternal, there for one another and for the younger generation.
* Remi: loving sister to Aiden, enjoyed the list she gave her brother and that she pushed him to take time off from work.
* Jagger: showed up near the end of the story but want to know more about this musician, wanderer and cook that travels with Dolly the dalmation.
* The males that were presented as potential love interests for Deirdre and Cait
* The growth in the relationship(s) shown by the end of the story

What I didn’t like:
* I didn’t feel as close to this couple as some in previous books by this author BUT perhaps it is because a new series is beginning and I need to settle in.
* That the lead characters and their siblings had so much pain and loss to contend with in their pasts.

Did I like this book? Yes
Would I read more by this author? Definitely

Thank you to Net Galley, Inkslinger PR and the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

4-5 Stars

Thank you so much to Montlake and Netgalley for letting me read a copy of Maybe We Will by Melissa Foster! I didn't realize it when I grabbed it on Netgalley, but this is a spinoff series from two of my favorite Melissa Foster series, Sugar Lake and Harmony Point (which in themselves are spinoff series of each other), so that was amazing! It also has characters from some of her other series which I haven't read, so if you're a Melissa Foster fan, you're definitely in for a treat with Maybe We Will!

Maybe We Will 4/5 Stars

Summary from Goodreads:

From Melissa Foster, the New York Times bestselling author of She Loves Me, comes a sexy and heart-warming novel about finding love—and family—where you least expect it.
When chef Abby de Messiéres returns to Silver Island with her sister to get their late mother’s affairs in order, she expected to inherit her mother’s bistro along with their childhood home, not to discover a half sister they never knew existed, and a handsome vacationer camped out on her mother’s patio.
Workaholic Aiden Aldridge has been sent to Silver Island on a work-free vacation, armed with a “Let Loose List,” and ordered to get a life by the much-younger sister he raised after the death of their parents. After years of focusing on his sister’s well-being, he’s blindsided by his intense attraction to the gorgeous, free-spirited Abby.
Aiden might not know much about chilling out, but he’s excellent at striking deals. He helps Abby with the restaurant in exchange for her help in tackling the items on his list. Sparks fly as Aiden and Abby work, and play, side by side. Intimate conversations lead to steamy kisses and undeniable passion. But there’s more to Aiden then Abby knows, and when the truth comes out, their new romance is put to the test, as the two find out if true love really can conquer all.

This book was so incredibly cute. I already loved Aiden because of his sister Remi's book in the Harmony Point series, so being able to see him get his own happily ever after was very cute. I also really liked Abby- she's such a happy person who never lets anything get her down and she's definitely the glue that holds her and her sisters together. I really liked the island of Silver Harbor and how tight knit the community there was and I cannot wait to read more about these characters and more things set in this world. This book felt like being back with friends I hadn't seen in a while, even though the only character I had actually known beforehand was Aiden (and Remi and Mason when they made cameos). Now I'm even more excited about reading all of Melissa Foster's other books whenever I have a chance to! Plot wise, I really liked the idea of Abby coming in and taking of the restaurant to try and bring the magic back into it after her mother's death. I think the information that Aiden kept from her at the beginning was crucial and having that come back and bite him in the ass was a perfect way to create tension and show this as a real, adult relationship. Overall, there was so much good in this book and I cannot wait to see more from Melissa Foster!

Now this is romance!

From their first meeting, this had everything you could possibly imagine to lay out the perfect romance storyline. Abby and Aiden were strong, incredible characters and watching them romance themselves into a forever relationship was beautiful.

Although Abby might not appear to be the strongest of the sisters, I felt like she had a firmer hand on what was emotionally best for herself moving forward after her mother’s death. She had an awesome dream and watching it come to fruition with the help of friends as well as Aiden was actually inspiring.

Aiden was pretty much hooked from the first moment he saw Abby. From that point onward he quickly became the most swooniest of heroes I’ve read in quite some time. He knew exactly what to do and say to win not only Abby’s heart, but mine.

This was a low angst read with little drama and lots of heart. The heat level is scorching and written in a way to highlight the evolving relationship between Abby and Aiden. With characters from previous books as well as a few new ones, this is definitely setting things up for the series and I can’t wait.

I really enjoyed Aiden's and Abby's story. There was just something about their instant attraction that I loved. Aiden was such a romantic and Abby who really didn't thing she would ever find a true love that just touched my heart. I loved watching her peruse her dream with Aiden by her side. Can a little secret destroyed this budding relationship? I loved the ending and can't wait to hear more stories about Silver Harbor.

Maybe We Will is a great start to this series. I loved Abby and Aiden's sweet romance. I enjoyed every minute of their journey, from the first time they met until the perfect ending! I loved the fun adventures they had with Aiden's "Let Loose List" and their excitement as they worked towards Abby's dreams for the Bistro. I'm looking forward to returning to Silver Harbor and catching up with these wonderful characters. I can't wait to read Cait's story!

After the death of her mother Abby inherited her mothers bistro and along with that news of a sibling she didn't know about. Aiden is a workaholic who is on a work - free vacation and expected to follow along a vacation to do list that must have nothing to do with work. Then he meets Abby and sees her struggling to figure out how to keep her family business afloat and will do everything in his power to help her as much as he can get away with.

I loved this book. Aiden was a workaholic and just couldn't help himself when it came to trying to help Abby, he was there to guide her to making sure she and her business were a success. When he wasn't working on that he was out to try to have fun whether he liked it or not, he did have to show proof. But Abby made that easy as they spent time together and doing things on his list. The romance was sweet to watch while it felt a bit rushed when you know the timeline of everything it seems like they knew eachother longer. It was just sweet watching them work together and seeing that love grow. Overall really enjoyed this book I couldn't stop reading it if I tried.

This is book 1 in the Silver Harbor series and in it we get the story of Aiden and Abby. Abby is a chef that has come home to Silver Island along with her sister to help settle her mother's affairs. She thought she would inherit her mother's bistro, but instead she finds out about a half-sister she didn't know about and meet's a vacationer that is camped on her mother's patio. Aiden was sent to Silver Island for a work-free vacation along with a list from his sister with the order's for him to get a life. And he isn't prepared for his attraction when he meet's Abby. But he knows how to get things done, and in exchange for her help in checking items off his list, he will help her with the bistro. But when Aiden's background comes to light, can they move on or will it kill the love they are beginning to find with each other.

I really liked this book. Aiden is a man that has a natural tendency to want to take care of the people he cares about. He stepped up when his parent's passed and didn't hesitate to raise his sister. But beyond that, he just has this inclination to help when he can. Abby has these dreams and she doesn't hesitate to fight for them. Nor does she shy away from the work she needs to do in order to make them come true. And I loved that about her. These two had so many things that made them compatible while at the same time they had differences that drew me in. I loved how the story flowed along, and I definitely loved their interactions with each other. It drew me in and kept me reading while not wanting it to end.

Maybe We Will- is the first book in the Silver Island series and I just loved it. We see recurring characters from other series that cross over into this one, which is like visiting with old friends. The story is about Abby de Messieres and Aiden Aldridge who seem to have an instant connection when they meet at Abby’s Bistro. She is a busy bee… taking care of her Mother’s estate after her passing, she decides to re-open her family’s restaurant. Aiden is on a much-needed vacation, and he helps Abby bring the restaurant revival to life. The book is a feel-good romance. I laughed, and had a heartfelt cry at one point, and there are some steamy parts too! I really want to crawl into the book and live there and make these people my friends. Kudos Melissa Foster for another Excellent book!

This may well be book one of a new series, but it is a part of a huge family of wonderfully interconnecting books. Just last month I read MY TRUE LOVE, which is also set on Silver Island, and so it was a real treat to catch up with some of that gang of friends again so soon – let alone some Dark Knights come to help out too. I love all of these books, and this is an excellent addition to the collection.

Abby and her sister, Deirdra, are back on the island due to their mother's death. She had been the source of much pain for the women after their father's death, but little did they expect to now find out they had a half-sister, Cait. Now the three of them have to steer through the business of sorting out the failing family bistro and their feelings for each other. In this book we get Abby's story, but no doubt the other sisters will get their chance, and there are hints already as to who!

Aiden has seen the run-down bistro and put in a good offer – something he keeps close to his chest when he meets Abby there one morning. The sparks between them are unexpected and even ill-timed, but strong enough that they choose to pursue them. And thus we are drawn into Abby's plans to revive the family business, using her cheffing skills and supported by Aiden and Cait.

I loved all the people who came and helped, and how it was clear that their mother has been well supported in their absence. It helped build a strong foundation for Abby when everything else seemed to be in flux. The descriptions of the newly renovated bistro sounded fabulous, and definitely worth a visit.

We knew from the beginning just how complicated the relationship between these two was going to be, and I did find myself rolling my eyes at their decisions at times! Even if a move comes from a good place, it can still be a mistake... but they did learn, and take a few minutes to take stock of the situation before going entirely off the deep end.

If you love this family of books, then this will be a good addition to your collection – it is not too bad on the needing a tissue front, but do expect to stay up late reading, as it is difficult to stop the pages turning.

I loved everything about this story but there seemed to be something missing, at least for me. I can't put my finger on it but there was something. Maybe it was the fact that Aiden waited so long to tell Abby who he really was and what his business dealing was. It seemed to me that he was hiding from her something important and he knew it could ruin what they were starting together.

Abby has come home to Silver Island to sell or keep their family bistro. After their father passed away, their mother kept the bistro going while Abby and her sister went on with their own lives. What she finds is a half-sister and a gorgeous man she didn't see coming.

As Abby and Aiden work side by side at the bistro, the relationship between them begins to sizzle and bloom. He wants to help her to get the bistro up and running and make it a success. All the while he is learning that you can slow down and live your life without working all the time.

Can Abby forgive him when she learns the truth? Will Aiden be able to explain why he did what he did to help her? Is there a future for them in Silver Harbor?

I love author Melissa Foster and knew I wanted to read this one even without reading the blurb. Her stories are always great and leave you feeling loved. This is a great story with a perfect couple that might not get what they deserve if they don't work for it. If you haven't read this author before, what are you waiting for, she is awesome.

M/F Romance

Abby and her sisters are back on the island and trying to figure out what to do with their mom's estate. Abby has big dreams for her dad's old diner, but she has to convince herself and her sisters that she can pull it off.

Aiden is a workaholic. His sister has sent him on a needed vacation, but Aiden is finding it hard to turn his work brain off. He misses the hustle, he misses the meetings. Aiden knows that he needs a break, but it really isn't in him to do that.

During a chance encounter, Aiden and Abby find themselves a balm to each other’s souls.

While I normally really enjoy Foster's books, this one just kind of dragged on for me. It was incredibly long and not a lot happens. I wanted more spark, more intrigue, or something. I am hoping that Cait's story will have more to it. She intrigued me the most.
