Melissa Foster is one of my favourite authors of this genre so I was super excited to be given an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This is a new series and the opening book hits the spot. Excellent characters, a beautiful location, romance, friendship and lots of passion. As always, it was hard to put the book down.
It was everything you expect when you read a book written by Melissa Foster.
Cannot wait for the next in the series.
5 stars all the way.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this

What a wonderful start to the new Silver Harbour Series, if Maybe We Will is anything to go by, Melissa Foster will have another hit series on her hands. This is small town romance at its best. Check Abby de Messieres has returned to Silver Island after losing her mother, she is on the island with her sister to get their mothers affairs in order but their mother is about to reveal a big secret from her grave as they find out they have a sister they knew nothing about. Aiden Aldridge is on the Silver Island to unwind and enjoy some relaxation after his sister ordered him to getaway from work. Aiden offers to help Abby with the bistro that was her patents and she is turn offers to help him tick off the list his sister has given him as prove he is relaxing but Aiden has secrets. So will the secrets ruin this relationship before it even begins, will Abby understand or will she walk away. This story ticked all my boxes , I adored Abby and her sisters, I fell hard and fast for Aiden, the chemistry is sizzling and the banter is witty but what took this book to another level was the pure love that this couple and their families have for each other, Sometimes we love someone so much we do things we think will help only to find we might have ruined it all...... So excited for the rest of this series.

Aiden Aldridge’s sister gave him a list of non-work-related things to do on his vacation. His visit to Silver Island is supposed to be a chance for him to relax and try new things not offer to purchase a restaurant. When he sees the Bistro, a charming restaurant on the beach, he offers to buy it. Chef Abby de Messieres and her sister have returned to the island following the death of their mother. She and her sister, Deirdra, must decide what to do with their parents’ restaurant. Abby would like to reopen the Bistro while Deirdra wants to sell it and move on. They are shocked when a half-sister they were unaware of is called to the island to discuss the will. Aiden or as Abby calls him “Chair Guy” is attracted to Abby and offers to help her with the restaurant while she helps him with his “list”. A charming visit to Silver Island and a lovely romance. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

5 Star Review of Maybe We Will (Silver Harbor #1) by Melissa Foster

I was so excited when I learnt that Melissa Foster had a new series releasing and I couldn’t wait to dive in to Maybe We Will. As I have come to expect from Melissa Foster, this book was well written with characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in.

Chef Abby de Messiéres returns to Silver Island with her sister after the death of their mother to get her affairs in order. She is shocked to learn that they have a half sister they knew nothing about. Aiden Aldridge is on Silver Island to holiday and getaway from work; having been ordered by his sister to unwind and relax.

I really liked both Abby and Aiden, both separately but especially together. Offering to help Abby with the bistro she has inherited, she in turn is to help him tick items of his relax and experience list. However, not all is as it seems and Aiden has secrets. What will happen when they come to light? Will it destroy their blossoming relationship before it gets a chance to flourish?

The chemistry between Abby and Aiden sizzles, their connection to one another is obvious. The banter between them is witty and as they they get to know one another the sparks fly. Aiden has a heart of gold, having taken over raising his sister, Remi, after the death of their parents. He is kind, caring and protective and totally swoon worthy if you ask me.

Abby’s life hasn’t been the easiest, she relies on and trusts no one. Will Aiden be able to break down the walls that Abby has surrounded herself with?
Fate works in mysterious ways and Abby and Aiden were meant to meet and in doing so find a lasting love. I cannot wait to see what Ms. Foster has in store for this series.

This ultimately just wasn’t for me.

The characters didn’t work for me from the beginning. Aiden was too perfect and Abby away too upbeat. I realize these might seem like odd reasons to not like them but they just weren’t realistic to me. It was insta love which in this case just didn’t work for me.

This book definitely has an audience but unfortunately it wasn’t me.

What an amazing beach love story!

“I fell in love with you like night takes over day—soaking up every little thing you did and said, until you were all I saw, all I wanted. Until you were so much a part of me, I no longer knew how to be me without you.”

If you don't swoon right there, you don't have a heart! Oh my, Aiden is all that and so much more! Now that Remi is married, Aiden is getting used to life beyond being his sister's keeper but it's only made him even more devoted to his career. Remi forces him to take a month's vacation, where he meets the free-spirited Abby, a woman who proves to be a balm for his soul, even though she's rebuilding her own life after the sudden death of her mother.

This is the kind of story that just captures your heart right from the very first meeting. Abby and her family have deep roots in the community, and I absolutely adored the assorted cast of characters who've always taken care of each other in this close-knit small town.

There are secrets old and new, some revealed right away while others are saved for the end. The romance, though, is the whole heart of this story, and it was an exquisitely beautiful journey to their HEA. My only complaint is that the book had to end and I have to wait until the next book is out to revisit this charming locale and hang out with my new best friends. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is the first book in the Silver Harbor series and it was a fun romance. Abby is a happy go lucky person and she is working on fixing up the Bistro that her folks had when she was a little girl. Her father died when she was young and it sent her Mom into alcoholism. So Deirdra who is Abby’s sister basically took care of their Mom until they moved away. Deirdra ends up being a lawyer and is uptight most of the time and she thinks this is a big mistake for Abby to take upon herself! Abby comes back to her hometown for her Mom’s (Ava) funeral and that is when she decides she really wants to open the Bistro after all she was a chef. Shelly Steele was a good friend to Ava and she helped with the girls when their Mom was out of it. And she met with Abby and Deirdra to let them know a secret their Mom had kept from them. I loved how Abby handled the secret so much better than her sister.
Abby is riding her bike and meets Aiden whom she calls chair man because he had bought a table and chair and set it up outside to have his coffee and read the newspaper. Aiden was a financial guy and he was there to buy the Bristo but he put it on hold once he heard Abby’s story of wanting to restore it and open it up. Aiden spoiled Abby with nice picnics, lighting for the Bistro and a fancy oven. But she was very stubborn and wanted to do everything on her own. I loved each of the characters in this new series and can’t wait for the Deirdra or a Cait story too follow.
Grab this book because it is a feel good book and who doesn’t need that right now. You won’t be disappointed!
I received an ARC from Netgalley and the author for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Maybe We Will is a great romance about finding your other half, but also finding out what is truly important in your life. I enjoyed this first book in the Silver Harbor series and it certainly makes me want to check out some of Melissa Foster's other series to get to know some of the other characters better!

Abby and her sister Deirdra have come back to Silver Island following the death of their mother. They have to take care of the house, but also the Bistro, which was the family business. It is painful for both sisters given how their mother went into a downward spiral following their father's death years before, causing the Bistro to die a slow death as well. Abby is excited to be back, but Deirdra is not at all. Add to that they find out they have a half-sister, Cait, they didn't know about and they have their hands full.

Aiden is on the island because he has put an offer in on the Bistro, but when he runs into Abby one morning, he doesn't let on. He's also there because his sister has forced him to take a month long vacation because he's a workaholic to the max. He's got a "Let Loose List" to accomplish and he might have a willing partner in Abby! He's had his share of struggles in life, but the one person who has his back is his sister, Remi.

When Aiden and Abby meet, the sparks fly almost instantly. Even though he's only there for a short time, there is no chance they can deny what they are feeling. When he realizes that her family owns the Bistro, he keeps the fact he put in an offer close to the vest and ends up getting pulled into helping with the revitalization plans, along with Abby's new sister, Cait. Can they get everything up and running and wade their way through all of the complex feelings between the sisters and Abby and Aiden?

I absolutely loved this group of people! I was drawn into the story very early and enjoyed getting to know both Aiden and Abby and what made them tick, but I'm also very intrigued by her two sisters and where they are going end up with their lives. Silver Island is definitely a place I want to visit again in the future!

4.5⭐

Maybe We Will is a story full of feels and it's one packed with old faces and new. Not to mention a romance that flows, is all encompassing and a joy to read. And with touches of humour and plenty of sweetness I was thoroughly enthralled, and I'm looking forward to returning to Silver Island in the future.

Would happily recommend.

A sweet and easy contemporary romance between a free spirit and a workaholic on an idyllic Island. Aiden is the perfect book boyfriend!
Sparks fly as Aiden and Abby work, and play, side by side.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book received from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Book one in Silver Harbor series is off to an excellent start. We meet two very different workaholics who through happenstance find their way to each other. The protective nature for Aiden Aldridge comes into play when he meets Abby de Messiéres while he's supposed to be relaxing on an enforced vacation. And when he finds out more as to why she's back on the island he's find something other than work that sparks his interests. With Abby focusing on putting her life to rights and dealing with unexpected circumstances she's willing to take a cautious step towards experiences with Aiden. Now then simply need to trust in the bricks they are building towards their foundation for the future.

This book was AMAZING! Aiden and Abby definitely went through their ups and downs as a couple but I really enjoyed sharing their journey.

Aiden needed a vacation. He raised his sister but was learning that she found her own happily ever after and did not need him in the same way. She sent him on a vacation that ended up showing him what he was missing.

Abby returned to the island after her mother's passing to try to restart the restaurant her father had purchased and run before his death. Along the way she learned a lot about herself and how to love a person.

Aiden and Abby definitely have some bumps in their road (one of which I figured out early on as a reader) but ultimately find their happily ever after.

I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

What an emotional, roller-coaster ride these 2 workaholics take us on with their 1st meeting and the stars in their eyes thru the ups & downs of trust issues and rolling thru the list of things to do when on a vacation. Can they learn that love isn't someone taking advantage of or being the boss of the other but is wanting to help the other part of your soul in any way they can?? I so loved this book of love!!

You, Melissa Foster, are a word sorcerer. Weaving magical spells around people’s book loving hearts with the beautiful books you write.

Maybe We Will, hit me hard. Maybe it was because of the emotions it stirred in me or maybe it was the underlying journey of self discovery that the main characters go through, that gave me food for thought. Whatever it was, it reeled me in, hook, line and sinker.

There is just so much to love about this book. Aiden is a dream. You will be mesmerized by his big heart and kind soul. If anyone deserves to find love, it’s him. And beautiful Abby, there are no words to describe how hard my heart hurt for this special woman, who’s young life was both beautiful and tragic and made her the woman she is today.

The secondary characters: Cait, Dierdra, Remi, Shelley, Wells, Daphne, Jock, Jules, the Bee Gees, the Bra Brigade, all these wonderful people contributed to making this the heartwarming romance that it is. It may take a village to get things done, but it takes a special, magical island to make true love happen. TBR Maybe We Will and fall in love with Aiden and Abby - one page at a time.

When Aiden meets Abby and actually decides to give the “Let Loose List” his sister sent him on vacation with, sparks fly.

These 2 heat up the pages, and it’s fun to watch both of them loosen up. That being said, I had an issue or 2 with a couple f things, and if the story wasn’t so well written, if the emotions weren’t so real, I would have given this 3 stars.

I loved Abby and Aiden. I remember Aiden from his sister Remi's book, and she sends him on a monthlong vacation to Silver Island. When Aiden meets Abby, they have instant chemistry, and their relationship develops quickly. It was fun to watch them work together on getting her restaurant done. There were lots of appearances from characters from other books also. Fun, enjoyable read.

A small town summer romance.
Trigger warning: alcoholism, death of a parent(s)
Abby is a chef in New York, but unsatisfied with her life. After the death of her mother, Abby decides to quit her job and move home to fix up the family bistro. Abby and her sister Deirdra discover a half sister ,hidden by their mother, at the reading of the will. As they get to know each other, the three work together to fix up the family restaurant. On her way to start cleaning up the Bistro, Abby crosses paths with Aiden, a handsome stranger on the restaurants patio. Abby insists on showing Aiden around the town in return for his help on tidying up bistro. The two hit it off and feel a strong attraction, but there may be more to Aiden than he is sharing.
Aidan is on a forced vacation planned by his younger sister, Remi. After the death of his parents, Aidan took on the parental role for Remi. While being busy with his finance job and parenting Remi, Aiden leaves no time to relax. Remi worries Aiden works too hard and sends him to learn how to “let loose”. From the moment he sees Abby, Aiden feels an intense attraction. One that he’s never felt before. Abby may be the one to help him find himself again.
The first novel in the Silver Harbor series is set in a small beach town. This book was more than a romance between two people. It was about sisters coming together and overcoming the death of their mother while learning more about each other. Abby was such a lovable character with her outstanding grace and understanding. I really liked her and Aiden together, it was definitely meant to be. The two of them were workaholics, but learned how to balance a personal life through each other. This was a very easygoing read and not much drama. If you’re looking for a light, summer read then this is the book for you! I felt like the first half of the book was a little too light for me and dragged a bit. I’m glad I pushed on because the second half was very captivating. Character development was fantastic. I loved the development of Abby and Aiden, but the supporting characters are also praise worthy. This is my first Melissa Foster novel and I was excited to learn that some of the supporting characters have their own book! I’m excited to go back and read Remi’s story in This Is Love. If I had to pick one couple, I’d have to say I’d be most interested in reading Grant and Jules romance. Overall, I thought this was a great summer read with a sweet and happiest of endings!

I requested a copy of this book from the publisher, through NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.

I am an avid reader of books by Melissa Foster. I have read the other books that are related to this one - but from other series. This is a separate story but there are a few crossover characters.

I really enjoyed this story about Abby and Aiden. They had such an easy and quick connection. I still don’t think that Abby realizes how much money Aiden has. There was just the right amount of drama, romance and fun - I will definitely be recommending this book to others!

I love love love that Aiden Aldridge finally gets his story told. I knew it would take a special woman to reach him, and that’s Abby. I didn’t expect the setting to be while he was on vacation, I had been expecting it to be during his business dealings. I guess that will teach me to expect something from a character. I enjoyed this book, although it did take me a little bit to really get into it. But once I did, I was sucked in. I also got misty eyed more than once with sisterly moments. I love Aiden and Abby as a couple, but I also enjoyed meeting Abby’s sisters Deirdre and Cait. And honestly, I really, really want Cait’s story to find out what makes her who she is. I have a feeling I’m going to love her even more. There are so many possible stories to come from Silver Island!
