I feel as if I grew up with Kathie Lee Gifford around me since she was on TV, especially on Regis & Kathie Lee - I did not know much more about her so this book was really interesting in learning how she got to Regis & Kathie Lee and then how she moved to Good Morning America & beyond! I enjoyed listening to this book since it was read by Kathie Lee. I was not aware of her religious views and how they would come up throughout many of her life stories. This makes complete sense for her life story, I simply did not expect it in the early chapters. I think this book would be even more appreciated by my mother or somebody who regularly watches her on television.

I listened to the audiobook and Kathie Lee Gifford does a wonderful job narrating her life story. This book has a little bit of everything family, friends, faith and gossip!

I have always loved Kathie Lee Gifford. I loved watching her and Hoda every morning. But as I have gotten older, I have liked her less and less. This book kind of solidified this. I felt it read as though she thinks she is better than others. I felt her advice tidbits at the end of the chapters were unnecessary. I am so bummed because I have been anticipating this book since she announced it.

Good book but as I said in reading the Netgalley copy-too many mentions of famous people. Too much information.

Still interesting .

This is not my normal type of book, but, oh my, how I loved it! When I saw this audiobook on Netgalley, I had to request it. I always loved watching Kathie Lee on the Today Show. She was such a joy to watch. When I saw that she had a new book out, I decided that I needed to know more about her. This book is part memoir and part inspirational self-help. Kathie Lee tells stories about her life and times that she decided to make a change in her life. The whole message of this book, and it's title, is "It's Never Too Late." It's never too late to make a career change, it's never too late to find your path, it's never too late to find love. You experience all of the heartbreak and the elation with Kathie Lee.

I loved listening to this book! I had so many emotions while listening. Kathie Lee did an amazing job at the narration. (The only problem I had with the narration was whoever read Dolly's introduction).

I know that some people might be turned off by so much reference to Christianity and the Bible in this book. It didn't bother me at all. I am not a devout Christian in any form of the imagination, but I found Kathie Lee's devotion so inspiring. But she also didn't shove it down the reader's throats. She was also very accepting of other religions. I loved how accepting this book is.

Overall, I loved this book. I laughed and cried and got chills. So amazing!

It’s Never Too Late, by Kathie Lee Gifford, is a memoir filled of encouragement, love, and inspirational stories. She looks back at events in her life that challenged and changed her, both professionally and personally. She shares life lessons with empathy and compassion.

Kathie Lee was raw and authentic in her stories. I recommend the audio version as Kathie Lee, with her smooth voice, narrates it herself. The pacing is perfect, and her impersonations are hilarious.

This book presents her as human, and relying on her faith, she shares the peaks and valleys of her life. She has touched so many people. You will be pleasantly surprised at how many people are referenced in the book! By listening to this book, she touched mine. I looked forward to listening to it and was always left feeling better when I was done. It was certainly inspirational and good for my soul!

Thank you NETGALLEY, Kathie Lee Gifford and Thomas Nelson W Publishing for this ARC, in exchange for my honest review. ❤️️

Thank you NetGalley, Kathie Lee Gifford and Thomas Nelson Publishing for the advance copy of the audiobook "It's Never Too Late".

I found listening to this book very enjoyable. The stories Kathie Lee shares at times are funny, heartwarming, heartbreaking and inspiring. I especially enjoyed Kathie Lee reading her story. The book is strongly based in her Christian faith and is included in every single chapter.

I found during this time of the Covid-19 pandemic the book to be uplifting. It did my soul so good.

Kathie Lee is lovely! I absolutely loved the fact that she was the narrator of the book. It made it that much more relatable. In this book, Kathie Lee Gifford talks about some of the ups and downs she has had in her life but that her Faith in Jesus has always brought her back to what matters and to her purpose. She talks about how that purpose has changed over the years and what she is learning about it now.

This book will remind you that celebrities are real people and go through struggles just like the rest of us, but it will also give you perspective on how to get out of those lower points in life. This book was a true gem!

I've always thought there was something special about Kathie Lee Gifford. It wasn't until I listened to the audiobook of her newest memoir "It's Never Too Late" that I realized just what it was that made her shine. Kathie Lee Gifford is a Christian who shines her light brightly around Hollywood. She has a big impact around many people that need a strong influence. God knew exactly what he was doing when He placed her where He did. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audiobook. And I'm so glad that she narrated the story, because you could hear the joy in her as she told her life story in just a few short hours. Through the good, and the not so good, I felt like I was walking through her life with her. I laughed with her, and I shed tears with her as I listened to her as she talked. It was like sitting down with an old friend. This book is truly something special. And I honestly think the audiobook is the best way to "read" this one.

I enjoyed listening to Kathie Lee's audiobook. The best part was that it led me to other projects she has been working on, including her beautiful Christian oratorio and also the new film she wrote. I had a great time watching the film this past weekend (funny, romantic, memorable). She even wrote the soundtrack with an accomplished Nashville songwriter, and she acts in the film with Craig Ferguson. It is great to see Kathie Lee following her heart and her calling with these projects. For me personally, The Rock, The Road. and The Rabbi was more spiritually impactful, but this book gives a lot of insight into her life and faith. She tells the truth with courage, even though there were a few stories I personally would have left out because they seemed to reveal incredibly private information about people. Yet, she is a gutsy lady, and she shared what she wanted to share. One critique of the advanced review audio version is that the person reading the forward to the book should say it's written by Dolly Parton before (rather than after) reading the forward. It was confusing trying to figure out "who" was talking until the end of the forward (especially because it was read in a southern accent, but it did not sound like Dolly's voice to me).

Kathie Lee Gifford's book is a memoir filled with stories of encouragement. She shares a hard look at the professional and personal events in her life that challenged her as well as the ones she enjoyed. As Kathie Lee recalls these moments, she shares the lessons learned and expresses her compassion and empathy for other people's experiences.
I recall watching Kathie Lee and Regis Philbin. Kathie Lee always seemed rooted in show business as if she were about to break out into a Broadway showtune. It's refreshing to learn how deeply rooted she is in her faith. Today, Kathie Lee seems more real, authentic, youthful, and ready for the next stage in her life. Her book cover captures her beauty and the vivacious energy she still has within her.
Kathie Lee narrates the book, which was a smart choice. She sounded as though she was singing her book. Her pacing was perfect, her voice was smooth, and her impersonations of people's dialect were not jarring. They were believable.
However, towards the end of the book she hints at many life-altering stories she didn't tell. I believe that some of them would've been compelling and beneficial for others to learn from, especially since the experience gave some implication about her level of resilience.
The book presented her as human. I think my favorite story was a simple one. She just indicated that she was like any other woman who simply wanted to enjoy the company of a man.
Her life has offered her the opportunity to shine so brightly and touch so many people's lives. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed her book. I walked away from it feeling good and wanting to help lift others up as well. This is a book that I would definitely recommend to others.

This was honestly just the book I needed to read at the time that I did. Like so many people during the pandemic, I feel stuck, anxious, insecure of the future and lost - especially since I'm ending a chapter in my professional life. And my three-year relationship has just ended. So yes, here we are.

It's Never Too Late is a personal and inspiring book about making changes in our lives. We might feel hopeless because we've invested so much time into things that didn't work out: like careers and relationships (hello there). The author uses many of her own and others' anecdotes about how no matter what, God has a plan for each of us, and He will get us through this. It's about little things and big things.

I loved this book! I simultaneously listened to the audiobook and read the ebook, which was just PERFECT because I could underline my favorite passages while Kathie Lee Gifford herself read her book out loud to me.

I highly recommend this book to people feeling like I have been, lost, anxious and confused. It's as fun as it is helpful.

I have been a huge fan of Kathie Lee for 30 years now!l I felt like we had babies together, raised them together, drank wine with Hoda & now with this book she is encouraging to not be afraid to make big changes in the final 1/3 of your life. I appreciate her transparency, love of God and contagious joy and enthusiasm for life! I think anyone who listens to her share her story will feel the same. You can’t help it!

Come for the gossip and stay for the encouragement and inspiration.
.
I was thrilled to get approved to review this book on @netgalley. KLG is my kind of quirky inspiration. She reads the audiobook, which means one moment I'm enjoying KLG's signature charm and the next minute cringing at the overdramatized emotion that seems a bit, um, Extra.🤨 Parts of this felt gossipy (though I'll admit I was entertained and intrigued 😉 - KLG knows people, let me tell you!), parts felt self-congratulatory (meh 🤷🏼‍♀️ - then again, the lady has lived a life!), but plenty of it was wise and instructive and encouraging and fun.
.
KLG is outspoken about her Christian faith and I truly believe she desires to live her life in a way that reflects that faith - I have much respect for that. Whether you share that faith or not, this is a fun book if you want some dish on Stern, Pacino, the Kennedys or Kardashians, just to make a few, or you're looking for some encouragement to never say It's Too Late...

I really enjoyed this book. Kathie tells some about her life and how she came to where she is now. It is very inspiring to the reader to pursue your dreams now, because we may not get a tomorrow. I would recommend this book because it will get you thinking about your dreams.

Never would I have thought that I'd be excited and raving about reading a Kathie Lee Gifford book! Don't get me wrong. I loved her on Regis and Kathie Lee. She was hilarious, and I was shocked when she left. But I never really connected with her or watching her material outside of the live show. Until I saw her on an interview on a short-lived day time talk show....I don't remember whose, maybe Meghan Kelly's. And I was enthralled by how real she was and how boldly she talked about her faith. That wasn't a side of her I'd ever seen before.

But that is the side of her that I got in this book. Real. Authentic. And Bold.

What an amazing life she has led. I really had no idea that she was such a faith-filled woman her entire life. She say for Kathryn Kuhlman. Later she wrote a play Amy Semple McPherson. Wow! These are bold women of faith whom I grew up hearing about but had no idea Kathie Lee Gifford knew they at all.

Here is the fault of the media and the way celebrities are portrayed....or oftentimes feel like they have to portray themselves....their true self, true nature, gets squashed below the media line, and only what media qualifies as interesting or important is shown. Like Kathie Lee always drinking wine......

They've made almost made her out to be a bimbo over the years....but she has such depth. She's fun. She hilarious, actually. She's interesting. She's grace-filled (both in character and in her faith). Despite the shows that she hosted and the "gossip train" that TV made her look like, she didn't say a bad word about any celebrities in this book. In fact, even when she had something unkind to say, she would always back it up with how human they were or with a story that taught her to look passed one experience with someone (like Tammy Baker).

I found it interesting, too, because she wrote an entire chapter about how we should never solely believe what television and media is telling us about celebrities and people. In that chapter, she listed several names (include Donald Trump). She also wrote an entire chapter on the Kardashians, with similar undertones.

It always makes me laugh when I read reviews from readers of celebrity memoirs who are annoyed that the author name dropped so much or talked so highly of themselves. I mean, that's the name of the game...and also probably the reason you picked up the book. But Kathie name drops, and you don't even feel like she did. This was her life. Her world. It was no different than me talking about my friends and interesting stories I have with them. And that just makes her feel real. I mean, celebrities are human too. Don't you know?

Anyway, as shocked as I am, I absolutely LOVED this book. Loved it.

This was an interesting book even though it. I found it is well done and I like that Kathie Lee Gifford narrates it.

I do recommend.

Kathie Lee was a staple in my home growing up as I was drawn to her vibrant personality hosting with Regis Philbin on the morning show. My gram who is now gone, adored the duo. She loved how they brought comedy, laughter and happiness in her morning.
So for me, this book seemed nostalgic because it took me back to the mornings when I would wake up at my Gram’s house.

I was gifted this by @netgalley for an honest review and the truth is, I did enjoy it. I don’t normally enjoy a lot of books that preach too much about faith (and I’m a catholic person) but this worked for her book as it felt like I was “meeting” Kathie Lee. Especially since I listened to her book on audio.

Recommend for anyone who enjoys to learn about celebrities, need more faith in their lives or if they just enjoy memoirs.

I watched Kathie with Regis when I was younger at my grandmothers house. I love the show, still today. I really enjoy audiobooks that are narrated by the author. I enjoyed learning more about Kathie’s life. I would recommend to anyone who is a fan of hers or just wants to learn more about her life.
Thank you to Netgalley and Thomas Nelson W Publishing for this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.
