The Devil in Her Bed is the third book in the Red Rogues trilogy and, while it could stand alone, I suggest reading the first two for a more complete experience.

*spoilers* I loved this book! It tells the story of Francesca Cavendish and her lifelong goal to get revenge for the murder of her family, friends, and household staff that occurred one catastrophic day in her youth. She is one of few survivors, and she makes it her mission to uncover the perpetrators and bring them to justice. In the process of her manhunt she encounters Chandler, the boy who saved her life and whom she thought dead. Chandler also seeks revenge for the same event.

Francesca and Chandler are well-developed characters who are admirable and easy to root for. I appreciate how brave and independent Francesca is, and loved how she was often a step ahead of Chandler. The writing flows smoothly, the story was so engaging that I unintentionally finished the book in one sitting, and the romance is hot! I highly recommend this entire series.

Loved this whole series. Enjoyed the friendship that developed between Ramsey and Chandler. Be warned that there are explicit sex scenes throughout the book.

Pippa sets out on revenge and is willing to ruin her reputation in the process. The Earl of Devlin is an elusive spy with multiple identities and is drawn to Pippa.

This romance has lots of twists and mystery. A well-written, enjoyable read. Keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The Devil in Her Bed was an action packed finale to the Devil You Know series. Francesca was a brave and daring woman out for revenge over those that massacred her family and friends. She was determined to expose the top member of the Crimson Counsel and bring the whole operation down, and she didn’t let anything stand in her way. I liked her tenacity as she singlehandedly acquired the information she needed. She was even able to get most of it before bumping into Chandler again.

Chandler has led a dark and violent life as a spy for the Crown, and he was just as determined as Francesca to bring down the counsel. He was skilled in combat and had perfected many aliases, and yet, even with all his vast experience and training, Francesca was still able to one up him a few times (which was pretty entertaining lol). I liked seeing them come together and join forces to bring down the Crimson Counsel. I felt bad for the burden that Francesca carried as she held on to her secret identity even after things started heating up between her and Chandler.

I felt a few reservations about how he kept reminiscing about the Francesca of his youth. It made me question his feelings a bit once everything was revealed. However, I mostly felt like he understood the difference by the end, and he very much loved the strong and courageous woman he was with.

The Devil in Her Bed is book #3 in the Devil You Know series by Kerrigan Byrne. As always, the writing and plot in general is fantastic. I literally could not put this book down. The action and drama had me at the edge of my seat wanting to find out more. The romance however, was a different story and a major let down.

Francesca Cavendish has been on a path of revenge and vengeance since childhood. Searching for those responsible for the death of her family. Her identity is not her own. Living in a facade in order to achieve her goals. Her real name is Pippa. The day her family was murdered, she manages to survive with the help of a boy named Chandler. Pippa has always loved Chandler, even when he loved another (the real Francesca). Pippa has always vowed to win his heart, but the day of the massacre had changed everything.

90% of the book focuses on Devil of Dorset (a.k.a Chandler) thinking Francesca is the girl of his childhood. The girl he once loved and lost. Pippa crosses his mind a few times, but never in a romantic sort of way. A "sister" as he referred to her. So when the truth finally comes out and he realizes Francesca is really Pippa, he is understandably angry and revolted.

So much of the book was focused on his love for the "real" Francesca and not Pippa, that it was hard for me to believe that he can quickly turn it off and just love Pippa (who decides to stay as "Francesca" in the end). I would still recommend this book. Francesca/Pippa is such an kickass heroine. Her happily ever after was so well earned.

Now, I read it without reading the first two and part of the time I was confused. There is an arc story line that seem to run through the book. I wish I had known that. The book itself is enjoyable. It is the usual Byrne dark writing in her storyline. Because of the arc and the complex storyline. There is not much I can say that will not give it away.The hero and heroine are basically driven by revenge.. They are also not what they seem to be.

Overall, if you like Byrne's writing you will like her new book Now I have to read the first two book.

Although this was my first experience with Kerrigan Byrne, it will not be my last. This was the third entry to her series, Devil You Know, however, I didn't feel as if I needed to read the other books to enjoy this one.

We have two main characters who are fronting during the day as something and at night are something very different. Both are caught up in the hunt for those they know are bad...and it is the crossing of paths during both parts of their lives that makes all of this all the more interesting.

There is romance, mayhem, and all the other things that go with it.

I'm not happy. I'm annoyed with myself for requesting this book after I couldn't get through the previous book in the series (I think I recognized the name and put in for it without realizing why I recognized it). I tried my best to give it a fair shot and not have my reading of this book to be tainted by the previous one and I did actually manage to finish this book. That being said, I'm annoyed with this book for being bonkers (and not in a good way) to the point of being convoluted. I'm annoyed with the hero and heroine, especially the hero, for being so obsessed with who the other was in the past instead of loving who they are now. I am absolutely furious with the author for continuing to write LGBTQ villains. This is homophobic and absolutely unacceptable. What makes the homophobia worse is that Kerrigan Byrne is openly bisexual so she's hurting her own community.

I have now written myself a note to avoid her books like the plague. I will not be including this book on my blog.

The Devil in Her Bed is the third book in the Devil You Know series and my least favorite of the three. It's hard to write this review without giving away any spoilers because so much of what bothered me about this story could be considered a spoiler. I liked the overall plot even if the resolution of it and aprehension of the "big bad" villain was a little lacklustre. I liked Francesca and the Devil of Dorset on their own but together they didn't convince me. It felt more like they're in love in the idea of eachoter they remembered from their childhoods and not in the people they are now. This was especially true for him. I couldn't get over his love for "the real" Francesca who he loved in his chidhood. At the end of the book I still wasn't convinced he loved Pippa for who she really was (and I also didn't like her decision in the end which name to keep - it felt wrong).
So I liked the intrigue in the plot and the plot in general. The writing, as always when it comes to Kerrigan Byrne's books was fantastic. The romance on the other hand was a let down. Still, the book is very much worth a read because what bothered me about it was more "it's not you it's me" situation and I'll defenitely read more books by Ms. Byrne in the future.

Ugh, sniffle! This is only my second Kerrigan Byrne novel (and the other was from a different series), and now I just want to track down all the others and gluttonously eat them all up. I love romances, but it's rare to read something *different*. Byrne's novels are a rare exception.

The Devil in Her Bed is the third of a trilogy, and I suspect it would have been better to have read the whole series. I say this not because the novel couldn't stand on its own (because it largely can), but because you'll want to draw out the story for as long as you can. There are also story threads that would help follow the overall storyline.

But it isn't that overall storyline that makes this story good. It's the heroine and hero. Chandler and Francesca have so many secrets and lies between them (the least of which is those names) that it should have been a hard story to follow. It's not, however, as the secrets take a back seat to the story itself. I was worried that Francesca would be one of those strong and clever heroines who ended up just being the tiniest bit less strong and clever than the hero, but she met Chandler step by step. More accurately, they took turns being the strong and clever one.

It would be too easy to give up little spoilers to say more, so I'll leave it at this: Read this series. Read Kerrigan Byrne. And maybe grab a tissue while you're at it.

I am so happy to be back with the Red Rogues! Kerrigan has an amazing gift of grabbing the reader in the first chapter and not letting you go. If you love books with strong, kick ass heroines, banter, loyal friendships and undeniable chemistry, this book is for you!!

I'm quickly coming to love Kerrigan Byrne's stories, and The Devil in Her Bed was my favorite in her Devil You Know series. The previous two books were enjoyable, with unconventional heroines facing thorny issues, but Francesca is a flat out badass and I love her most of all. After experiencing unspeakable tragedy as a child that cost her her family, friends and home, she's been preparing her whole life to avenge that act and take down the people that took everything from her. Francesca doesn't just desire revenge, she's perfectly capable of it; she's smart, confident, strong and resourceful. The biggest hurdle in her path is Chandler, only one of his many names as a spy for the crown - but the person she's always desired for her own. And Chandler has plenty of reasons of his own to go after the same people Francesca is gunning for, which puts them in a dueling battle not just of their attraction to each other, but who has the right to claim revenge. Plus there's one extra secret that Francesca is keeping from Chandler that could destroy any future they might have even if they manage to stop the Crimson Council once and for all.

Another great read by Kerrigan Byrne, which closes out the Crimson Rogues Trilogy.

The book starts with a gruesome crime where several people are murdered. The two survivors of the crime find each other later in life, both seeking revenge for the crime that changed their lives. Francesca is an unapologetically, strong heroine while Chandler is a master of disguise and well trained spy/assassin.. It's an interesting twist to the story that while we know who each of them are, and what they meant to each other in the past, the characters do not know who the other truly is. The sexual chemistry between these two is off the charts and this is a thrilling story!

I enjoyed the book. I thought that the storyline was well done. I enjoyed Chandler's character and thought he and Francesca were well suited for each other. Overall, I enjoyed this series.

A super ending to The Crimson Rogues Trilogy.

Ms Byrne has come up with yet another string narrative for the third of the Crimson friends, Francesca. Her married friends Alexandra and Cecilia are onto theagenda she has undertaken and are unable to make her give up her dangerous pursuit.

The book starts with a harsh incident that creates the whole narrative for Francesca. There is no real suspense as to the relationship between the protagonists Francesca and Chandler. The readers know who
They are while the characters themselves do not. The mystery is Chandlers past which is not revealed till the end, a good twist there.

There lots of good stuff in the narrative, however for readers who have enjoyed ms Byrne’s Victorian Rebels, this might be a meh! Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good mystery historical romance with all the right ingredients however, when you have read such strong books, you tend to expect more.

No spoilers from me, it’s a good story, definitely 4.5 stars. I just wish there was an EPILOGUE for the rogues and their HEA.

Perhaps Ms Byrne, may come up with s holiday novella or something for the trio at a later date. I can only hope :)

Having read the first two books in the Devil You Know series, I was already anticipating an emotional rollercoaster ride, I was not wrong. Right from the first sentence you were told of heartbreak to come. You read snippets of Francesca/Pippa in the previous books and like with Alexandra and Cecilia, I knew Francesca was going to be a strong heroine. But when you finally read her story you realize how truly strong she is. Ever since she lost her family and friends all those years ago her entire life has been about avenging their deaths. Her methods are definitely unconventional, especially in that time period and that was what made her so fascinating. She was fearless and a fighter, she was such a bada$$! Right when she was finally going to get her answers, she catches the eye of the man they call the Devil of Dorset. He is a chameleon and has actually met her a few times in different disguises and each time she has enchanted him. But as attracted he was to her, he was also very skeptical of who she says she is and he is determined to find out the truth. As he pursues learning all there is to know about the Countess of Mount Claire, the mutual attraction becomes too hard to deny. The sexual tension and chemistry between these two are off the charts! But they also learn that they have a common goal, to take down the Crimson Council, a depraved secret society that may have been involved in the massacre of her family. As they work together, they develop strong feelings for each other but they are both keeping secrets that could derail everything.

There are so many twists and turns in their story and so many moments I was dreading, and when a particular secret was revealed the reaction was brutal. But when they are both remembered and are reminded of what they mean to each other, the reunion and happily ever after was all worth it.

The Devil in Her Bed was a fantastic conclusion to this highly emotional series. All three of the “Red Rogues” and their other half truly put me through a range of emotions. There were many moments that just broke my heart and then made me swoon with all the love they had for each other. A wonderful series and I highly recommend all of them.

It was wonderful to read the last book in the Red Rogues series. The story started out with a devastating tragedy. Francesca and Declan's lives are changed at a very young age. The way they grow from their tragic paths is magnificent. However, I liked Francesca's journey better. She dedicated everything to avenge her loved ones. She took risks, spent all of her life working towards one goal. So it kind of made me angry that Declan didn't recognize her abilities. His anger at her was unwarranted and his memories of her as a young girl were extremely skewed. I didn't really like him and I wish Francesca wouldn't have forgiven him so easily.

In this final installment we get the third “Red Rogue” Francesca Cavendish’s back story.
Both Francesca and her childhood crush shared wonderful memories until tragedy struck leaving Francesca with her fellow “Red Rogues” as family and a need for vengeance for her lost loved ones from her childhood that she is willing to go to whatever lengths to get. She does not care what polite society says about her. She knows she is getting close to finding the answers she needs.
He is called the “Devil of Dorset” and he works for the Crown undercover. His disguises and his abilities to take on different personas make him an asset from the shadows. He is willing to do whatever it takes to complete his mission. Now Francesca has come into his sights. Little does he know that he has met his equal in more ways then one.
When these two come together their secrets may help or hinder their causes. The question then is can they work together to achieve their common goals and have a HEA?
A good read for a quiet evening. And it is always nice to catch-up with prior characters though the story could stand alone and the reader not get lost.
