To be honest with you, I’m not sure why I even gave this book two stars. Where did earn that last star? I can’t tell you what I even enjoyed about this book. For one thing, the character development was lacking. Shane, one of the guys Stevie likes, is a sweet, innocent boy who is bullied. There’s one random part where the author has Shane confess that he’s done weed. This was horrible character development; Shane never struck me as the type to do anything illegal or against the rules, so smoking weed is really not in his character.

I also didn’t like the other love interest, Drew. Drew was nice and everything, but I didn’t like him that much. Another poor part of the character development is when Stevie claimed multiple times that she was not confrontational, but you see her confront multiple people in a short amount of time. Is she confrontational or not? Plus, The relationship between Stevie and Drew was moving way too fast. Their conversations got very deep very quickly, and for a girl who doesn’t like to grow attachments to people, that seems very out of character.

Also, to be honest, I really don’t get the big deal about the coin flip. I would be honored if there were two guys that wanted to ask me out, and I would understand if they flipped a coin in order to save their friendship. It’s not offensive and it wasn’t a bet. Drew and Shane were both so worried that she would be angry about the coin flip, but I really don’t see the big deal. It felt like over-the-too drama to me.

Not really related to the rest of the book, but at the beginning of this book, they portray marching band completely incorrectly. Stevie went to the second rehearsal and they already knew all of their music. You have to memorize it!!! That doesn’t happen that quickly in a good band, so how can it happen with a bad one? Plus, they knew how to march their show (also called drill). Not even good marching bands know their drill at the second rehearsal. The year my marching band won our circuit, we didn’t have the drill until about 2 1/2 months into the season.

Maybe I should’ve given this book 1 star. I barely enjoyed anything about it! The drama was stupid, the character development poor, and I hated reading this book.

I really liked this book and how she got over someone. I enjoyed the romance and the friendships. I liked she came to enjoy her family. I liked that she was able to get over a boy and move on with her life. Great story.

I have not finished this but I am setting it aside.

I love the premise in theory, the sliding door dual timelines vibe is something I generally love. I think this was just too deeply emotional and I am not in a place for that. I definitely could see people living this book- this is the kind of book I inhaled as a teenager looking for understanding.

I am very thankful for the opportunity to have read this book.

I'm not the biggest fan of sad stories, but this was a really great read and well-written. It definitely kept me angsty and in my feels!

I knew this book was for me when I saw that it was for fans of Sarah Dessen. Wexler created such real and in-depth characters and it made the story all the more real and heartfelt for me!

Thank you to St. Martin's Press, Wednesday Books, Jennie Wexler, and NetGalley for allowing me the privilege to read an advanced copy of this book in expectation of my honest review.

Where It All Lands grabbed my attention from the beginning! I didn't expect to love this book as much as I did. Based off of the synopsis, I thought that I knew everything that I needed to know, and I assumed how it was going to go. But I was wrong, so incredibly, wrong. And I LOVE how wrong I was about this book.

This book wrapped my emotions around what most would see as an inconsequential flip of a coin. But that coin toss went on to have many consequences. What I think I loved most about this book, which was also the most frustrating part, was the ending. I loved how the author went through each event in the main characters' lives from two different perspectives.

And in the end, I was left wanting to know the truth of which side was up.

This was a lovely written novel that hit all my emotions, and had me rooting for all three of the main characters to have a win.

"The happily ever after is in the living."
This book! It was so smart (and crazy heart-wrenching) of Jennie to tell the story of best friends, Shane and Drew, and their instant crush on new girl, Stevie, through a dual timelines based on what ifs.
The traditional teenage angsty love triangle is turned on it's head (or tails!). Shane and Drew always solved squabbles by tossing a coin and who gets to ask out Stevie is no exception. All three MC's carry their own unique set of baggage and with each decision the course of their individual successes and failures shift and change the outcomes for the other two. I may have been pulling for each of the boys at different points until the end where I very much so was crossing my fingers that it would all have a Groundhog's Day moment and start over.
Thank you to Wednesday Books and NetGalley for the e-arc. All thoughts in this review are my own.

Extremely well-written and thoroughly enjoyable. I love a dual timeline and I'm always there for a love triangle. This one was cleverly done and I can't wait to read more by Jennie Wexler!

Interesting premise of two different timelines and how things can change with a flip of a coin, I just felt myself struggling to get through this book. It was cute and an easy read and newer concept that isn't written about a lot, I just couldn't connect with the characters. I am going to try to read this again when I'm not reading a ton of romcoms and comparing how each makes me feel.

This would be great for a teen who is looking to get into reading and wants a unique story.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC of this in exchange for my honest review.

This story was bittersweet in every way.

I absolutely adored the premise - two timelines, two completely different storylines, all based on the flip of a coin. The two timelines were unique and interesting and thought-provoking and definitely carried this story. The end, however, left me a bit underwhelmed, although I understand the decision behind it.

This book has a lot of heart, and it really makes you think. But at the same time, I had a bit of a hard time connecting to the characters. I ended up enjoying the story, but it took me a while to really get invested.

This was such a heartwarming YA read. It had everything I love in a YA book and I couldn't put it down. If you like YA, read this book!

I have tried twice now to get into this book and just was not for me. I just struggled to connect with the characters and the overall plot. For this reason I don't think it would be fair for me to rate this book, however it is forcing me to put a star rating.

Where It All Lands follows Stevie, Drew, and Shane and how a flip of a coin can change everything. I enjoyed seeing the book from both sides, it was really interesting to see how Stevie's life was affected differently but also the similarly in many ways. I found that the book was focused primarily on the romance between characters. I wish we got to read more about the characters themselves. This is more of a personal gripe though as I don't read much romance as a central theme books.

Where It All Lands by Jennie Wexler was a compelling story that shows just how much one choice can impact. I loved seeing these relationships play out and getting to live inside of each of three main characters heads!

4 stars

This book was written in 2 different time.lines, and answers that question of what if.

It seems that Stevie is part of a love triangle in both paths of this book. But for me, it was interesting to read how one small thing could completely change the whole trajectory of your life. I honestly couldn’t tell you which path I would have chosen for her if I could pick because I liked really liked Shane & Drew.,

This is my first book by this author, I liked the writing and storyline. The characters were like able as well and I’m sure I will pick up her next book as well.

The synopsis of this book really hooked me and intrigued me. For the first few chapters, I really liked our characters and wanted to know what happened next. But after meeting Stevie I slowly started to lose interest in the story. I didn't really care what happened to Stevie, Drew, or Shane. And their issues didn't make me like them more.

Once we got to the second part I thought I would like it more, but I ended up just skimming through to the end. I promise, I really wanted to like this book, but it just fell flat for me.

I do appreciate my ARC from Netgalley and Wednesday Books.

This book was cute and a little quirky. It gave me the 90's Dawson's Creek vibe with the love triangle aspect. You know the 2 best friends in love with the same girl but doesn't want it to come between them. I enjoyed it and would probably reread again.

Thanks Netgalley and Jennie Wexler for letting me read this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for an eARC. Where it All Lands is a very interesting book The book centers on who Stevie chooses to date between two friends, Drew and Shane. It has parallel timelines of who she chooses and what happens. Overall it was a good read. I give this a 3 out of 5 stars. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is probably my fault because I thought this book was something completely different. I didn't read too far into it because it was very sad and dramatic and I thought this would be a lot lighter of a contemporary? I just couldn't connect at all, but I don't think thats the fault of the book.

I've really gotten into multiple timeline (parallel universes) books and this one was another fun read. When best friends for years, Drew and Shane, notice the new girl Stevie, they flip a coin to see who can ask her out. I liked seeing what happened for each boy's "win" of the coin flip, though both were similar. It put a fun spin on all the what ifs we ask ourselves and how somethings are just meant to be.

I thought the character building and dynamics were nicely done. Most of all I liked seeing the relationships between the three pairs, Stevie & Drew, Stevie & Shane, and Shane & Drew.

I definitely recommend this book for lovers of YA contemporaries. It touches on a lot of different aspects of life.
