"Snowed In" is a sweet Christmas romance guaranteed to warm up the coldest of hearts. It's the story of Emma Ballard, retired supermodel turned CEO, who begins to develop feelings for an employee at the company, Andrew Mooney, an IT supervisor at their New Jersey branch, a widower of 6-year-old twin girls. The book was a breeze to get through but I ended up having to skim the last quarter of the novel. At that point, it felt like the conflicts had been resolved and were being dragged out. I also was not crazy about certain phrases that were overused, like 'for realises' and 'boss lady.' I thought they were cute once or twice but to see them on every page..

Snowed In by Jessica Calla

This book was a cute heartwarming Christmas read. Andrew is a single father of twin girls. He helps Emma (the CEO of the company that he works for) get out of the storm after one of their company parties. She can’t travel back to NYC from New Jersey in the weather so she ends up staying at his house.

Their romance was very sweet, and all of their reasons for fighting it were very believable. I loved how much Emma loved his girls and quickly they developed a special relationship. However, the title is a little misleading. There were a couple times that they were together because of the weather, but they weren’t ever actually snowed in together.

Thank you to NetGalley and Champagne Book Group for kindly providing me with a digital copy of this book for review.
I love a Christmas book set in New York. I’ve never made it there yet, so until I do, I live the New York experience precariously through these stories.
This one follows the single dad trope- with the sophisticated lady CEO entering their lives and a sweet and heartfelt romance ensues.
This story flows very well and I definitely felt an emotional connection to our lead characters.
The book also seemed very well designed with very cute snowflake page breaks would and a lovely Christmas present for the romance reader in your life.

Snowed In is a standalone, sweet romance by Jessica Calla. This is the first book I've read by the author and I know it won't be the last!

My husband gets to take credit for me reading this book today (I asked him to pick between two titles and this is the one he chose) and lucky for him, I loved the book so much, I could not put it down (and didn't complain when he went out to play/work on the tractor).

If you are looking for a sweet Christmas romance, then this is the book for you. I laughed, I cried a little and I was completely invested in the story. From the first page, I was sucked into the story and could not stop reading until I reached the last page.

The characters are wonderful and the storyline is captivating and filled with holiday magic. This was a quick read, but was filled with so much depth! I can see myself re-reading this (multiple times), especially curled in front of the fire place with a nice, big, hot cup of coffee.

I'm so grateful to Jessica Calla, Champagne Book Group, and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.

This was such a cute and sweet book! I loved all of the characters immediately and the story line constantly pulled at my heartstrings. The relationship between Andrew and Emma was just so fun and enjoyable to follow. I loved that this was based in the fashion world but not overly consumed with the business side of things.

Thank you NetGalley, Champagne Book Group and Jessica Calla for gifting me an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
Are you ever in the mood to just read a good book with zero expectations? I just wanted to read a good book with solid main characters, minimal drama and a sweet ending. Add a splash of Christmas cheer and a hint of forbidden romance to the mix and I was hooked from the get go! I just recently read another book, Love in the Aisle, which was a collaboration between Heather Van Fleet and Jessica Calla, so when I saw this one I requested it! I was not disappointed! If you haven’t caught on yet, I’m not the easiest to please when it comes to books and it takes a certain kind of author to pull me in immediately. Jessica Calla did just that!
Former model turned fashion business CEO, Emma Ballard has the reputation as a viper in the office. What no one knows is the pressure she feels in her inherited position, the guilt she feels about disappointing her late founding father and the lonely life her position brings. When a surprise snow storm leaves her stranded in the city and one of her employees offers her a room for the night, neither of them except the path they’re about to go down!
Andrew is a widower with six year old twin daughters and a job in IT. Before settling down he’d once dreamed of a life on the Broadway stage. Andrew only knows Emma through office gossip which is less than kind to her. He’s surprised to find she’s nothing like he expected. Instead of being cold and distant she is both considerate and has a sense of humor that keeps him on his toes. Emma didn’t realize how lonely she's been until Andrew and his girls blow into her life. As they navigate office drama, Christmas cheer and fears of second chances, Andrew and Emma build a connection unlike any other.
A sweet, clean Christmas romance that leaves you in the mood for holiday music and a good Hallmark movie!

Emma Ballard, CEO of Ballard Industries, had never wanted to take over the business her father started, but she did so after his death. Stranded one evening in the snow, she meets Andrew Mooney, a widower, who works for the IT branch of the firm. He offers her a ride and she gets to enjoy the evening at his home with his twin daughters. Emma had been in love once, but he broke her heart and she has closed off her heart from love. What is it about Andrew and his girls that make her think of a future? Issues at work complicate their friendship and when her past comes back to haunt her, will it cost her the CEO position at her firm? A wonderfully fun story about second chances with the delightful twins Bella and Devon who help bring Emma and Andrew together. I very much enjoyed this holiday romance. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

OMG! That was a totally amazing read! The emotion written into each character was top notch. I was initially drawn in with the single dad element and not really sure what else to expect but the subtle insecurities of Emma were totally endearing and made me like her just as much as Andrew.
I loved how he could be totally his nerdy self with her, I chuckled at their exchanges many times. I also loved Emma’s heart and instant love of the twins.
The epilogue was also a favourite of mine as I love to see the future of the characters I have become invested in. Seeing them so happy and expanding the family was the icing on the cake.

If more romance books were like this, I think I would read more of them. it was a simple, pure love, and it was the perfect read for Christmas. I really loved Jessica Calla's writing and would definitely read more from her. It was breezy, light, and a very fast read. I couldn't recommend this book enough!

This was a really sweet and cute story which gave me hallmark movie vibes. But I’m not a big fan of hallmark movies and they tend to make me cringe a bit and so did this books a bit.

Cute and sweet story about a widower, Andrew who is raiding twin girls and the CEO of his company, Emma. The 2 are total opposites and somehow, I think thanks to divine intervention from the universe, cross paths at a retirement party during blizzard. Neither is looking for romance,

This was a sweet holiday read. Super sweet. Hallmark movie sweet. Great to put you in the holiday spirit!
