An apocalyptic vision from the Christian viewpoint of a dystopian near future. The author has created a world that is the playground of creatures from the Underworld. The world is also protected by the Heavenly Host. In this telling God, while Omniscient, is also mysterious, hidden behind veils of Angelic bureaucracy. Our lead is Andrea, a low level Guardian Angel sent to earth to find the key that will lead to victory in the final battle. Her strong empathic talents lead her to James, a battle scarred warrior who still dreams of the horrors of war. On the side of evil is Billy,
aka Beelzebub, the son of Lucifer. Lucifer is still caged but is every bit as powerful as the fallen Son of the Morning Star can be. For most of the book the humans serve as pawns or cannon fodder.

Brothers is new to publishing. This first novel shows promise. The settings are visually satisfying, the action sequences sparkle. The books style reflects an earlier time when writing did not reflect a streamlined approach. This appears to be book one in a series that will culminate in the Final Battle. Keepers and Destinies ends on a cliff hanger. The reader hopes for more to come.

Recommended for readers of dystopian fantasy, or Rapture genre.
