Completely inhaled this latest by Catherine McKenzie! Listened to it on audio first and then read the physical book just to give it a second chance to sink in. It was twisty and unexpected and the ending just floored me. Loved it!
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for providing a digital copy in return for an honest, unbiased review.

Thank you for the opportunity.
It was a good slow read. Would I say it was a favorite, No. Only because I had figured out the storyline and everything early on in the book. So it was predictable. It was a very slow burn book as well. But it was enjoyable.

I could not get into this one. Maybe I’m not a huge thriller girl anymore, but the characters were too flat for me to feel super invested in the story.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for providing me with the opportunity to read and review this book.
A few interesting plot turns, but overall, this was a bit slow. The characters were neither particularly likable nor relatable for me.

I am sorry for the inconvenience but I don’t have the time to read this anymore and have lost interest in the concept. I believe that it would benefit your book more if I did not skim your book and write a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Very thrilling and twisty book! I enjoyed it very much and it was an excellent thriller. Recommend it for those who love fast paced books.

Jennifer Barnes can't believe the news she was just given, barely comprehending the doctor's words...inoperable brain tumor...six weeks to live. Confused as to how an otherwise healthy woman could be given this diagnosis, Jennifer starts to dig through her medical history and a red flag pops up right away. Convinced that her cancer was not an accident Jennifer sets out to prove that she's been poisoned and she's fairly sure she knows who is responsible. Jennifer's daughters however are sure that this is the cancer talking causing Jennifer to hallucinate these conspiracy ideas because there is no way their own father would want their mother dead. The Barnes women all process Jennifer's terminal news in their own way - Emily always at her side, Miranda returning to the family home and Aline assisting in her mother's investigation if only to help prove that she's grasping at straws. As the weeks begin to slip away Jennifer is desperate to figure out if the poisoning is all her imagination or did someone in her life want her dead. I can't stand when you figure out the plot twist before the end but this one I didn't see coming! "Six Weeks to Live" is a page-turner for sure. A good twisty thriller for your TBR lists. (TW: I would caution anyone who is going through cancer treatment, has lost a parent, has been a victim of abuse or has difficulty reading books with heavy family trauma this one might not be for you.)

If you are looking for some thrills, this is definitely the book for you.
There were so many things I did not see coming. Which is obviously a very important factor in a thriller.
First book by this author and I cannot wait to get my hands on more.

I’m always ambivalent when fiction books include medical themes which are not deeply researched and I felt this was the case with this story. Other than that, it was a solid thriller.

Loved this book and this series. Sorry for the late response. Trying to clean up my netgalley. I have previously shared my loved on my instagram page and didn't realize that I was forgetting to leave reviews on netgalley itself, My apologies.

If you had six weeks left to live, what would you do? Jennifer Barnes decides to try to figure out who tried to poison her a year earlier. Was it one of her children, her ex? Reading through the book, it was and ending that was predictable. The overall plot seemed to drag on and at times seemed like events were entirely unlikely. While I had high hopes for the book, unfortunately it fell flat for me. However, that won't deter me from reading another book by Catherine McKenzie.

Wow! Six Weeks to Live starts off with a bang!
Having been diagnosed with cancer myself this book was a bit difficult for me at times. But with all the twists and turns it was so hard to put down.
Catherine is a master storyteller. I can NOT wait to read more by her. The spin she put on this story was amazing and kept me guessing. I can only imagine what a mother must think knowing her end is near and how it all came about.
Just WOW!

Thank you NetGalley for this eBook in exchange for an honest review.
This was an enjoyable read during my free time at home.
Catherine McKenzie starts her reads at the drs office with Jennifer where she is informed she has stage 4 brain cancer- and if that wasn’t terrible enough news, to hear she only has 6 weeks left to live doesn’t help her.
While the initial plan was to spend her final days with her triplet daughters and twin grandsons, Jennifer now thinks the cause of this diagnosis is due to her being poisoned.
And the story progresses you start to see just how dysfunctional this family is.
This book has a few plot twists along the way.
Is Jennifer right about being poisoned in the past, or is this just an unfortunate act of life?
Read the book to find out.
Thank you again for the opportunity to read this book.

This book was not what I expected. The other books I have read from this author were more straight mystery/thrillers. This one had a lot of domestic drama in there, which makes sense but wasn’t quite my cup of tea. Good surprise ending though.

This was a really interesting plot and it was on my want to read list for awhile. I was surprised on how unique the plot was and I loved all the twists and turns.

A page turning read that leaves you wondering who can really be trusted. Highly recommend.
Thank you to NetGalley for the arc

48-year-old mother of three Jennifer Barnes is at a doctor’s appointment when she gets startling news: she has a brain tumor and has six weeks to live. She’s determined to spend her remaining time with her triplet daughters focused on happy things… except she discovers on a lab test that she tested positive for lead over a year ago. And now believes someone purposefully poisoned her.
This psychological thriller was really well written. It was fairly short, with good pacing and a steady reveal of new information and twists. There are plenty of potential suspects and bad behavior to go around, including Jennifer’s estranged husband, who cheated with a much younger woman and is desperate for a divorce. He’s not the only one. I loved the way the twists and surprises kept coming, and thought this was cleverly written.

Six Weeks to Live is a story that keeps you reading! Jennifer is 48 years old when she hears this diagnosis from her Dr. She is fighting an unfriendly divorce and begins to think that her husband has poisoned her starting a year before. Her adult triplet daughters are willing to help in her investigation, even though they question whether it could be true. This is an interesting and easy read with enough happening to keep the reader interested.
This is my honest opinion and I give thanks to Atria Books and NetGalley for this ARC.

Six Weeks to Live by Catherine McKenzie is a heart-wrenching, whodunnit mystery about a dysfunctional family and motherhood. If you enjoy medical-type thrillers, check out this one.

Absolutely loved this book. It sucked me in from the getgo and had me guessing all the way to the end. Did not want it to end at all.
