This was such a fun thriller with so many surprises - talk about a roller coaster of a read. Such a likeable character in which you want to root for her. I really enjoyed this book!

This was a great domestic thriller! As a mom of multiples myself, this story really struck me with her regret of leaving behind her triplet daughters and twin grandsons. Along the way I could really see how you couldn't trust anyone in this story! I really enjoyed this story!

I absolutely loved this one! I was hooked from the very beginning and on the edge of my seat until the final shocking reveal that I did not see coming. Kudos to the author for writing a chilling, nail-biting, suspenseful thriller that kept me engaged from page one. Highly recommend! Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for the digital ARC. This is my honest review.

Wow! This book just opens right up with ALL THE FEELS. I listened to this one on audio as well and found myself tearing up while driving home from work as it is an emotional mystery story. I really enjoyed this one and would give it 3.5 stars. Jennifer and her triplets are trying to figure out if someone poisoned Jennifer right after she finds out that she has brain cancer and is diagnosed with six weeks to live. I liked having the different perspectives of the story from Jennifer and her three daughters. It made for an interesting whodunnit medical thriller (if that is even a thing? If it isn’t, Catherine McKenzie certainly makes it a thing!). I liked having chapter titles in this one too. I feel like that is a lost art. Overall an intriguing, quick paced read with an ending I wasn’t expecting but totally plays out well.
Thank you to Netgalley and Atria books for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest opinion.

I really wanted to like this book but it just didn’t hold my interest. A woman dying of cancer, given only weeks to live and squandering them looking for who is responsible for poisoning her and causing the illness and ultimate death sentence. Why would you spend your remaining weeks on this crusade to find out who caused it instead of doing things you enjoy. She waste so much time that she could spend with her daughters and grandchildren. Speaking of children, why can’t everyone just try to make this as comfortable as possible for her. They couldn’t just put their differences aside and let her enjoy her remaining days. Sins of the past haunt her short future and when all the lies and secrets are revealed even more lives are shattered! Just a crazy ending that I didn’t see and was not happy about. I guess the book just made me mad because I hoped to see more compassion and love from the characters!

Middle-aged divorcee Jennifer Barnes discovers that the headaches that she has been having are not simply related to tension, but rather the result of a incurable brain tumor. She is given six weeks to live, and while devastated at this horrific news, she plans to spend her remaining days with her three daughters and grandchildren. As Jennifer struggles with her diagnosis, she comes across some strange test results from the previous year, indicating that she was likely poisoned. Jennifer immediately suspects that her ex-husband could be behind the poisonings, and she is determined to spend her final days proving that he is a murderer.
As Jennifer begins her sleuthing, she begins to uncover various secrets that her own daughters are keeping from her. The secrets go far back, to when they were children and Jennifer was doing her best to raise them, while her husband was busy building his career. As Jennifer learns more and more about what her daughters are hiding from her, she is forced to come face to face with her own secret. A secret so large that it impacted all of her family, and can no longer be ignored. Is Jennifer simply being paranoid, or is someone out to get her? Is she being punished for the secrets that she is holding close to her chest?
Awesome psychological thriller with some great twists and turns. I can honestly say that the ending completely shocked me. McKenzie tackles the impact of mental illness, and entwines it with a mystery that was completely unpredictable. Thank you so much to NetGalley for providing me with this ARC!

Catherine Mackenzie is always my first choice to get me out of a reading slump. And I always recommend her to anyone that is in a slump. Six Weeks to Live did not disappoint. At all. It was fast paced and had many twists. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. McKenzie has an innate ability to spin a web that you just can't decipher. I'm hooked on her books!

The synopsis sounded interesting, but it not executed well. The story was told from multiple points of view which made it confusing to the reader. I also did not like the ending.

Thank you to the publisher for my copy - all opinions are my own.
I have to say that Catherine McKenzie just never ever lets me down when it comes to complete red herring, psychological thriller, I don't know where this story is headed kind of books. Every single time I dive into one of her books I am completely absorbed into the plot, and they are near impossible to set down.
Which is to say I LOVED Six Weeks to Live - the premise that you find out you are dying from a terminal disease and that you are sure you've been poisoned is totally compelling. The way Catherine wrote the characters, and the slow unpeeling of the dysfunctional dynamics of the Barnes family made this the perfect kind of thriller. I loved the pace and the fact that just when you felt like you might have an idea of what was going to happen.... you didn't.
No spoilers, but this is the kind of perfectly executed thriller that makes for perfect weekend reading - you can lose an entire day with this story and you won't regret a minute. A must for thriller lovers!

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC of Six Weeks to Live by Catherine McKenzie.
Jennifer is shocked and horrified to learn that she has a brain tumor and only six weeks to live. And now she has to tell her triplet daughters, and ex-husband, all of whom have varied responses based on their relationship with her. But Jennifer is determined to find out why she has this illness, and whether or not she has been poisoned. Was it her ex-husband? Is she crazy for thinking so? Uncovering years of secrets will tell.
This was a bit over the top. I didn't hate it, didn't love it. The daughters, their squabbles, and pasts all started blurring after a time. The ending was interesting, but unfortunately I would consider this to be a lukewarm suspense.

I finished this one a couple of weeks ago and I'm still thinking about what a wild ride it was. I had a few hunches to how the story would end but it definitely kept me guessing.

Definitely an interesting twist on the typical psychological thriller. It kept me coming back until I had finished the very last page.

Six Weeks to Live by Catherine McKenzie is a story about family drama and dynamics. Jennifer is a 48 year old mom with three 25 year old daughters. In a routine visit, she is told she has cancer and only has six weeks left to live. Did Jennifer get cancer due to poisoning from her ex-husband?

*spoilers*
It sounds cliché, but this book was quite the page turner! Unique situations, surprises around every corner, and it keeps you guessing until the end – just what the doctor ordered for a psychological suspense!
Jennifer, the mother of a one-in-a-million set of triplets consisting of two identical twins and a fraternal triplet, has been diagnosed with Six Weeks to Live. Convinced that someone, perhaps her estranged husband, has poisoned her, she sets out to find out whodunnit. Also wanting to spend her last weeks with her daughters and twin grandsons before she’s gone, Jennifer shows what’s really important in life, when it all comes down to it: your loved ones and family. Yet, her daughters have varying reactions to Jennifer’s poisoning theory, so she starts to question herself. Is it all in her head? Or is she being gaslighted by someone who may really want her dead.
Not content to be just a genre fiction thriller, though, author Catherine McKenzie also takes on the weighty topic of mental illness and how it affects both the sufferer and those around them. An overall excellent read for fans of suspense and book club lovers.
A big thank you to Catherine McKenzie, Atria Books, and NetGalley for providing and Advance Reader Copy in exchange for this review.

Six Weeks to Live by Catherine McKenzie is an incredible twisty thriller.
What would you do if you had six weeks left to live?
What if you suspected someone had poisoned you ?
Thats whats exactly happening in this non stop thriller.
This was a fantastic story with complex characters.
A twisty non stop action.

I liked how this book was told from multiple points of view but I don't feel like this book was for me. It was a little slow and drawn out. I also don't really like any of the characters. I do look forward to reading more from this author.

I had high hopes for this one as I always enjoy the authors books but this one missed the mark for me. I know it’s fiction but so many parts were too far fetched for me to overlook

Six Weeks to Live by Catherine McKenzie was a book I could not put down! What would you do if you were told you had six weeks to live? Spend time with family and friends? Make every minute count? But wonder if you are suspicious that someone close to you may have caused this terrible diagnosis. It changes everything! Jennifer is told she has a terminal brain tumor. But past medical records reveal she had extremely high levels of lead in her system and she believes someone is trying to poison her. I thought I had it all figured out about three times. This book will leave you guessing right until the end!

Let me just start by saying.. this lived up to my expectations. It did not disappoint!
Jennifer is a 48 year old mom to triplets. she is told she has a brain tumor that is inoperable and only has six weeks to live. So of course she wants to spend the time she has left with her daughters and grandsons.
She find out she had been poisoned with lead a year ago and she suspects her ex husband who left her two year prior. As she becomes more convinced that she has been poisoned she asks one of her daughters who is a scientist to help find out if she was really poisoned!
Once you pick this up you won’t put it down until you know for yourself!!

I read and reviewed this book before it even came out. I put my reviews on Amazon and Goodreads! This book was amazing and had an ending I did not see coming!!
