Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for my advanced readers copy of this book.

What would you do if you knew that you only had six weeks left to live? After a seemingly routine doctors appointment, Jennifer receives the shocking diagnosis of an inoperable brain tumor. She's dying.

With so little time left she is planning on spending as much time as possible with her adult triplets, and grandchildren. A wrench gets thrown into this plan when going over some of her previous medical charts. A strange blip a year earlier. Coinciding with the time that her husband asked for a divorce. A divorce she wouldn't grant him.

Did he try to poison her, and if it wasn't him than who?

An incredibly tense page turner, I absolutely flew through this. This was my first Catherine McKenzie thriller and it won't be my last.

This book never rose above the good category, but it was good enough until the ending. That’s where it faltered and fell flat for me.

The story was interesting but not really that memorable, it did keep me entertained but I was expecting more of a thriller versus a domestic drama. Thank you for the opportunity to review this ebook

Every mystery and thriller by Catherine McKenzie gets better than the last and I never think she can out do the previous one because it's usually that good.

The main character Jennifer seems like she's a bit paranoid after her diagnosis of terminal cancer and is trying to find evidence to prove she's right. But as you watch her spiral into this idea it really makes you question whether her suspicions are correct. Meanwhile you get the point of view from each of her daughters throughout the novel as well and this really brings the story together. You get so many puzzle pieces and it's so hard to not give parts away.

I think this novel is almost perfection when it comes to the mystery genre. I was kept on my toes throughout the whole thing. I highly, highly recommend this novel if you need a good mystery. Especially one you will not see coming which is always my personal favorite type.

Wow. Just wow... The evil..... At a serious loss for words to describe this book, but I just couldn't put it down. The ending...... Catherine McKenzie is just an amazing storyteller...

This was such a solid little thriller that I devoured in one sitting. I thought the story was good and the characters were so intriguing. I did not see the culprit coming — so bonus points for that for sure! It's not making it into any of my top thriller lists, but it was different and refreshing than some recent domestic thrillers I had read so I really appreciated it!

Unfortunately I did not enjoy this book which is a shame as I really enjoyed the author's other works. It felt disjointed, ridiculous and very predictable. I skimmed to the end of the book and to be honest I thought the ending was a bit laughable and unrealistic.

This book was very intricate and fascinating! I loved all the points of view, as they were so well done. One of my favorite authors!

2.5 stars. I was invested in the story and read through this quickly to find out how it ended. But the between the unlikable characters, disappointing ending, and knowing very early on who the killer was, this was not an enjoyable read.

I always look forward to reading McKenzie's books and this was no different. While the "ending" was known from the beginning (or really since you saw the title) the story to get there was full of unpredictable twists and turns as the family uncovered decades of secrets. I loved the different voices and story tellers that unfolded over the book. A perfect summer read.

At a doctor's appointment, Jennifer learns that she has an inoperable brain tumor and has six weeks to live. While going through some of her test results, she discovers high levels of lead in her system. Was she poisoned? Does someone close to her want her dead? Or is her paranoia a symptom of the brain tumor? With the (sometimes reluctant) help of her three adult daughters, she uses the final weeks of her life to find out who--if anyone--might've caused her cancer by deliberately poisoning her.

This was a fast read, but it was a tad predictable. Also, except for one scene near the end of the book, there wasn't much action or suspense. When the final "twist" is revealed, the reveal of how everything happened comes across as a little far-fetched. Also, I didn't really connect with any of the characters, including the protagonist, but that's is an ongoing problem for me with a lot of contemporary suspense/thrillers. I kept reading because the chapters were short and I wanted to see if I'd predicted the outcome correctly, and for the most part, I had.

Thank you to the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Catherine McKenzie is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors. So many twists and turns to keep you on your toes until the end. I did not see the end coming. It was amazing!

Although I am a big fan of this author, this particular novel was not my favourite. The premise is excellent, but I feel like the story never really has you on the edge of your seat, so it lacks the excitement I was hoping for. I do like the multiple points of view for the novel, but I just found so many things far-fetched, so it didn't really land for me.

Jennifer is diagnosed with a brain tumor and given only six weeks to live. As if that weren't enough of a blow, she also learns that she had an alarmingly high level of lead show up in her blood tests from a year ago, which leads her to believe she was poisoned on purpose. And there are oh so many suspects. Her not quite ex-husband, any one of her adult triplet daughters, or even herself.

I have never seen a more horrible and unlikeable cast of characters. Any one could have easily been the culprit. As Jennifer's six weeks tick by, she is focused on her estranged husband as being the perpetrator, but it seems everyone in this family is hiding something. When the whole truth is finally revealed, I have to say I was a bit surprised at who actually was behind all of this and the why of it all. There were definitely some eye roll moments and you have to suspend believability and just go along for the ride. This isn't so much a thriller as it is a family drama with some very dysfunctional people, but I was invested enough to be carried through to the end to find out the answers.

After receiving the shocking news that she only has six weeks to live, Jennifer finds herself consumed with finding it who is trying to kill her. What she discovers, and what she reveals about her own past, will change her family’s life in unimaginable ways. Give yourself enough time with this book because you may not be able to put it down.

This was a very emotional, thought provoking read. It shows what could happen if you are made to pay for things you did in the past. Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC

I loved my first read by Catherine McKenzie, so this was highly anticipated for me. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the expectations I had, but that seems to be an unpopular opinion based on reviews I've seen. For so many reasons, this book was not for me. It took me a long time to read it, despite the busy life, I struggled to pick it up and get into it.

Six Weeks to Live is about the last six weeks the MC Jennifer has to live while battling a cancer caused by lead poisoning. Throughout the six weeks, Jennifer is determined to find out who poisoned her and what their motives were. It all felt really... farfetched and crazy for me. I understand thrillers should be a little out there, but this felt over the top and the writing was a touch juvenile in my opinion (I know I'm not a professional though). The multiple POVs felt sloppy and confusing, with a lot of unnecessary information added that felt like filler for no reason. I think a huge reason why I didn't love this book was also because it followed the unstable, mentally ill female narrator and I'm just so over that trope.

I will say that I didn't predict the ending, it did surprise me, but overall it really wasn't enough to save the overall book for me.

The book begins with Jennifer finding out she has terminal brain cancer and only 6 weeks to live. She calls her 25 year old triplet daughters to inform them of her diagnosis. As Jennifer tries to cope with this news, she begins to suspect she was poisoned. And it doesn’t help that there are several people who could have done it. Her soon to be ex husband who is already dating someone new, or any of her daughters whom she doesn’t have the best relationships with. Or is it something else that Jennifer just doesn’t want to admit? There were some good twists and turns in this book, and I knew immediately what had happened mid book but I didn’t know the details so the last few chapters were a good shocker! This book is well written and told from 4 different perspectives; Jennifer and her three daughters. At times I felt it did drag because chapters ended on cliffhangers and no resolution in the next. I kept wanting to say “Spit it out!” But I do think it was a good book and it would make an EXCELLENT movie!! Crossing my fingers for that to happen! All in all, good read and I would definitely recommend it!

Jennifer Barnes has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and has only six weeks left to live. So begins this twisty psychological thriller by Catherine Mckenzie.

Jennifer is convinced that someone has deliberately poisoned her, but who? Is it her ex, determined to get a divorce so he can marry his new girlfriend? Was this a result of poison running through the pipes at her house? Or is there another mysterious force at work? As Jennifer investigates what she believes to be a deliberate poisoning, she also has her tumultuous relationships with her three daughters to contend with. With McKenzie at the helm, this makes for one heck of a ride.

This was an enjoyable read with a conclusion that I wasn't expecting and interesting revelations throughout. McKenzie's ability to write stories that grip the reader only gets better as she continues to write them. I've read every single one of her books and this one is among the best.

This is a well-written story with interesting characters and a plot that keeps you guessing until the end. I can definitely recommend this to any fan of domestic thrillers. My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this complimentary review copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book is part family drama, part whodunnit.

Jennifer Barnes gets a shocking diagnosis that leaves her with only six weeks to live. Jennifer thinks she was poisoned and she spends the rest of her time trying to figure out who might have poisoned her. Her triplet daughters handle this news in three different ways and try to help her figure out who might have poisoned her.. even if it's just to get her to realize that isn't what happened.

This family has so many secrets from each other and the story kept me entertained the entire way through. The story seemed like it was going to be predictable but it ended up being a shock!
