I love the quirkiness of both Gian and Teagan but more importantly I’m obsessed with how they found one another!

They just fit and they had a patience and understand for each other that you don’t see often! More than anything I loved seeing the WHOLE family and their dynamic now!

This book and the books before (The Romano’s) really show the power of love and the power of family!

There are some seriously steamy moments and the list dropped through the pages! I couldn’t get enough and I highly recommend this beautiful book with an independent heroine and hero who just wants to find his place amongst his overbearing, loving brothers!

4.1 stars

I have to say that this book started a bit dry. There was a lot of detail put into Teagan and what she was working on. At first, I was a little lost in how this was going to tie into the Corsis family. However, as the story went on, it all made sense. I appreciated it, even more, when I saw the interactions with Judy. Teagan was a hard character to get a read on but I did eventually warm up to her. Gian was an interesting character and I liked them together. I look forward to where this author is going with this series. I am here for their stories. I also cannot wait until Judy gets her story too and I get to see Dominic in that position of watching his daughter grow up.

There is something about this author that sticks out. I first discovered this author with Dominic's story. It felt like I had come full circle with this book because I got to see him again in a new light. There were a few scenes (one of which where he was reminiscing about how he first met his wife, that made me remember the books distinctly. That says something about these characters because I have read more books than I can count off of the top of my head but I still remember them. It is also a testament to this author's ability to craft a story.

I did want a few areas to be fleshed out more, one of which was Teagan's "job" because so much detail went into creating this that it felt like it was just left out there in limbo. I wanted it to be more pivotal in front and center. I also wanted further explanation of what Gian finally decided to do. I don't see his family as accepting his "cover" as his new career choice. Other than that, it was a solid book and another great addition to this author's many books.

This is more of a 2.5 for me.

I would highly suggest reading this only if you read the previous trilogy about the Corisi family. Had I know this was a continuation of a previously written about family I wouldn't have picked this up to read. I felt like I was missing that connection with the family if I had read the previous books.

Overall I wasn't a huge fan of this one. I liked the family dynamic and the family portions of the story but I just could not get on board with Gian as a character. Once again I contribute this to not reading the other books.

Tegan was OK, but was not a fan of her tearing her attraction to Gian down in the beginning because she was a curvy heroine. I am so tired of hearing female characters say that "someone like him can't like a girl like me" *eyeroll*

Also I get attraction, but the constant "let's have sex before discussing important topics" got old fast...

Last thoughts: I do think if you read the previous books about this family you would really enjoy it. Would not suggest reading it as a stand alone or a first read by this author.

I was really excited to read Gian's story, having followed the Romanos through all their stories. And, giving that the last story had him reconnecting with the Corisi family, I was interested in how everything progressed. Well, this story takes place a few years after that event and Gian is unsure of what he wants to do after going through intensive schooling. He meets Teagan when he and Dominic Corisi's daughter were wagering regarding finding more hidden family members of the Corisi clan. Confused? Yeah, the background of this particular story is pretty difficult to explain without going into too much detail. I don't think it's necessary to read all the other stories in the series but I think you'll get more richness from it if you do.

That said, Gian and Teagan were a little nebulous as characters for me. I didn't think there was a real "point" to them. The story kind of just flowed but without a clear direction or point, besides setting up that there is yet another group that can potentially be folded into the Corisi clan. I liked both Gian and Teagan as characters but their romance took a back seat to the set up, in my opinion, which left it kind of underwhelming.

I still enjoyed the read, having had read all the books in the prior series. I would give this book a 3.5 to 4 stars, depending on familiarity with the story line from prior books. Thanks to NetGalley for the early read.

Ruth Cardello gives her fans another solid outing with Gian and Teagan's story. Readers of this series will not be disappointed. Cardello's talent of moving the storylines of most of the cast forward in all of these books continues. Looking so forward to Judy's story in the future.

Love the latest addition to this series. Ruth Cardello somehow manages to make this ever-expanding family tree still feel manageable with fun Easter eggs of old characters popping in throughout the book. I do wish there had been some indication of the time jump between most of the series and this book. It’s not clear when Dominic’s daughter grew up!

The thrill of the chase is that the heart takes the fall. He Said Always is a reminder of what makes Cardello great. With characters that are always evolving, emotions deep enough to swim in and unpredictable twists that will keep you thoroughly invested, it's only a matter of time before you call in love. Gian Romano finally gets a chance to shine. However, in my opinion it's two feisty women that steal his thunder. Am so looking forward to getting to know more about the ever growing Corisi clan.

Ruth Cardello; you’re a genius!
One of my favourite authors delivers yet again another awesome read involving the infamous Dominic Corisi. This time his daughter Judy is older and like the rest of the family; holds special talents. One of these just happened to be decoding a security system belonging to a lady who becomes the main love in the story.
Like Ruth’s other books this did not disappoint in you finding out answers, learning about new family, and of course a romance.
Nothing more needs to be said.
Read the book! You will love it

I have been wanting Gian’s books since I read his brothers’ books, and his story with Teagan was worth the wait! I just love this world, and these two are a wonderful edition to it. Just a super great book!

Ruth Cardello brings us back into the world of the Corisi family. She brings us the story of Teagan and Gian. Gian Romano is unsure of the direction where his life should go while Teagan is safeguarding her work from the world except for her best friend. He is thrown into the Corisi family when he discovers his connection to them and tries to figure out his place in these two families. Gian enters Teagan's life while looking for other Corisi family members. What each of them do not expect is their strong and instant connection to each other.

Ruth Cardello draws us into their world when Gian and his niece Judy Corisi made a bet to see who could find more Corisi family members first. You want to see how finding out you have more family affects Teagan and those she considers family as well as Gian and the Corisi family. You want to see how this affects Teagan and Gian and if the secrets they still keep will tear them apart or if they will trust the other enough to share.

Ruth Cardello brings us a story of romance with family and loyalty pulling them in different directions. I enjoyed reading Teagan and Gian's story and I look forward to the next adventures.

Very grateful to Montlake for my review copy through NetGalley.
He said always it’s a great contemporary romance story with interesting characters and many family secrets that have been buried for way too long time.
Starting off as a bet, the romance story between Gian and Teagan is hot and beautiful and so damn steamy because I never thought a cooking scene can be so sexy and enticing.
This wasn’t my first book by the author and I must admit that I had a hit and miss relationship with her previous series but I’m looking forward to the next books in this series.

Amazing read! This is the kickoff of a new series, the Lost Corisis, and while it's not necessary to have read the series- The Corisis Billionaires, it is very helpful to understanding the love, family and nuances in this book. I loved Dominic Corisis and for Ruth Cardello to focus on Dominic and Judy in the Corisis Billionaires was awesome, now with Gian getting the first book of the Lost Corisis is amazing!

I love this gang of people! RC does a great job weaving the old and the new characters together while giving Gian and Teagan a great love story. I am so excited to see what comes of the twins' stories.

Thank you NetGalley and Montlake for this ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

This book is another in a series where a main character in one of the author's early works discovers he has siblings from his parents" other relationships. This story revolves around a newly found brother and his love interest. As much as I like this author, the story was boring and predictable, and the characters were annoying. Romance novels are fine, but I need an plot as well and this one just fell short for me.

This book leads off to another series the author has created in her Corisi family. I have enjoyed most of her other books throughout the different series but I was seriously underwhelmed by this one. I am probably in the minority but the plot just didn't do it for me. I also had a hard time connecting with both Gian and Teagan. I think the emphasis on artificial intelligence and Gian's fixation on the study of womens' sexualtiy just made it impossible for me to enjoy this one. At this point, I will be foregoing the rest of the books in this series because I just can't seem to be enthusiastic about her last couple of books. I did enjoy reading about the previous characters in her earlier books.

Great first read, from a new-to-me author.
I enjoyed the storyline, it held my interest from start to end and I loved watching the relationship between Gian and Teagan unfold.

Overall, The broken One is a great start to the The Lost Corisis Series and I'm looking forward to reading more.

When Ms Cardello started the Corisi family, I’m sure she didn’t realize what a wonderful family that she started. Gian and Teagan’s story is no different. It started out as different perceptions from everyone to finding out everyone had a lot of similarities. Gian and Teagan are perfect for each other. Unfortunately, it took Teagan longer to figure that out than Gian. I have enjoyed Ms Cardello’s writing since Maid for the Billionaire and have read all of her other work since then. They never disappoint and neither did this one.

He Said Always in Gian Romano’s story. Judy Corisi, now 20, has a bet going with Gian over which of them can find more relatives of Dominic Corisi’s first. Their quest leads them to Teagan Becket and her friends Riley and Kal Ragsdale. This is a heat filled story about attraction, trust, family and technology. Ms. Cardello does an excellent job blending these elements into a story filled with surprises...especially about what Gian wants to pursue as a career. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Highly recommend.
