Hopeful, insightful, and definitely worth buying for our library collection. I will also be purchasing for our church library collection personally.

I have loved Linda Evan’s books, and I was looking forward to this new one. I was not disappointed. Her prayers about each topic are encouraging and inspiring. As the reader thinks through each prayer and reads the scripture that accompanies each one, it helps develop a Biblical outlook on life. I especially loved the emphasis on our emotions in this book, and think these prayers can be of help, comfort, and guidance.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Linda’s heart shines through the pages. I still remember meeting her briefly in the early 2000’s at a conference. I try to read each title of hers to see her heart.

It is an interesting book. I think this book was not made to be finished in one read. It’s a book that you come to while you process your emotions in front of God in prayer. This book can be easily adapted for older children and teens. A great resource

Praying Through Every Emotion by Linda Evans Shepherd is a beautifully written devotional book of prayers with Bible verses that corresponded with each prayer. Each prayer tackles a different emotion--i.e. anger, fear, stressed, among others. After each prayer, the reader is given Bible verses about that particular emotion. At the end of the book the author also gives you a website where you can access even more prayers, I used this book as part of my daily devotion time and it really ministered to me. I highly recommend this book for anyone who needs help with their emotions or those who seek to get closer to God. It would make a great gift and I plan on telling or giving a copy of this book to others. Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book! (This review is also on GoodReads.)
