Apple of My Pie is the adorable follow up to Donut Feed the Squirrels. While I didn't remember any of the characters from the first volume and was a bit confused at first, it certainly didn't matter in the long run and I don't think kids will care in the least. The sumi-e brushwork art is lovely and works for these silly, fluffy squirrels. Highly suggested graphic novel for early readers!

This story is a cute follow up to Donut feed the squirrels. The characters are introduced in the first book, and this one assumes you’ve read it and know who they are already. Gramps gets carted off in an apple truck to a farm that specializes in making apple pies. It’s up to the rest of them to save him before he gets eaten! The art is really cute and ephemeral the way water colors can be.

An adorable second installment of Norma and Belly's adventures. Just as cute as the first book, Norma and Belly have to rescue Gramps from an accidental trip to an apple farm. The art is soft, with a beautiful color palette. The story has adventure without being too scary for younger readers. Great for all ages.

If you like apples and pie, you’ll like this story about a squirrel that unexpectedly ends up at an apple orchard and friends that come to save the day. What they don’t know is that they all go through the apple pie making process, getting caught up in mishaps along the way. Full of humor and adventures, this is definitely another great book by Mika Song! 🍎🥧🐿

This is adorable. Cute illustrations, fun adventure story. I love that it has chapters. I would love to see more from this author.
