Hello

Apologies for the late notice, but I have decided not to review this title.

While I am certain it's obvious by now, I wanted to also clear this off NetGalley, so it's not showing as open for either of us.

I look forward to continuing to work with you in 2023 and beyond.

Laura

Really enjoyed this action-packed journey that is filled with engaging and exciting charters, heart racing twists and emotionally thrilling turns. A highly entertaining and heartwarming romantic adventure from beginning to end.

I really enjoyed this one. The pacing worked for me, the characters and their fears and flaws were relatable, and the romance was sweetly done. It was an enjoyable easy indulgence and I bookmarked the first in the series and next in the series because I fell in love with the people and the place.

I had not read the first book in this series (First Kiss with a Cowboy) so I read it first before I started this one. I loved this first book so I'm not surprised that I loved this one as well. The First Kiss book was about Jane & Toby. This second book (One Night) was about Jane's brother, Wes, and Jane's college roommate, Thea.

Thea is a widow with two kids (ages 13 and 10). She is coming to the ranch for a 10 day long session for military families that she has been hosting for several years along with Jane. However, this time Jane won't be able to host because she is quickly put into the hospital due to early childbirth issues. So her brother Wes has to fill in for her - yes, the same Wes that has the reputation of never taking life seriously and never owning up to any responsibility. Perhaps Thea has a preconceived notion regarding Wes, but she quickly becomes irritated with him and she doesn't trust that he will do what he is supposed to do. Wes feels differently around Thea - he soon realizes that he wants more with her - even though he has never had a serious relationship before. So it's really no surprise that NO ONE believes Wes when he starts to vocalize his desires.

This book was cute and I'm really hoping the next book will be about the 3rd sibling, August. I love reading about this group of people and I can easily see them fitting into my circle of friends also. This book deals with heartbreak (but not too much), the joy of new love, trust, fun surprises and building trust. I enjoyed this book and read it over two days as it was an easy read.

I was provided this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

One Night with a Cowboy by Sara Richardson is an emotional roller coaster of a romance novel and I loved every minute of the ride!.

A sweet charming emotion packed book about Wes Harding and Thea Davis coming together again. With a little bit of baggage and maybe a love that was never forgotten this couple might make a second chance work.

ONE NIGHT WITH A COWBOY is a nice continuation of the SILVERADO LAKE series. (Though this can be read as a standalone.) We’re reunited with characters we’ve met before in this small town filled with caring people, and there’s plenty of drama, family, and romance that kept me turning the pages far into the night!

Wes is part of the rodeo circuit, working as a rodeo cowboy. He distracts the bulls away from the bull riders once they are finished riding. Years ago, he ran away from his small town and the family ranch. His father died, and he blames himself for his death, thinking his family blames him as well. He comes to visit his sister and stays to run the charity retreat for veterans and their families. He doesn’t expect to be attracted to his sister’s best friend, Thea, who’s there from Texas with her two children. His life is about to change in more ways than one!

Wes’s connections with his siblings are filled with strife, though they love each other. As he forms a stronger bond with them and really listens to what they have to say, he learns more about his family and himself. His older brother realizes he needs to make changes in his life as well, and the two of them have in-depth conversations. Thea’s children are pulling at Wes’s heartstrings, but so is their mother. Will something come of it or will they deny the attraction?

ONE NIGHT WITH A COWBOY has terrific pacing, a nice plot, and multiple storylines kept clear by the author’s careful prose. The many heartwarming scenes in this story left me wanting more.

Ms. Richardson is fast becoming a go-to author for me. I love her descriptions and how she gets so much out of her characters. I have more of her books on my TBR pile and look forward to reading all of them.

I rated the book 4.5 stars but rounded up to 5 stars here and on other sites.

The book I received from NetGalley didn't have the bonus book included.

One Night with a Cowboy continues the Silverado Lake series as Wes takes center stage… or he might have if that spot hadn’t been stolen from this handsome cowboy by two little kids, and one little boy who just stole my heart on every level possible. Thea and Wes make a delightful couple, even as they’re holding back because… things, like trust and even fear often get in the way. It’s time for this widowed mom to trust her heart once again, and one cowboy who doesn’t trust his emotions but is learning fast to come together and take the risk that falling in love requires.

Sometimes there comes along a story that simply works for me on every level. One Night with a Cowboy is that kind of story. A grieving mom devoting her life to raising her kids without their father. A man who made a costly mistake once and now can no longer trust in the future that he believes he doesn’t deserve. Tight friendships that stand the test of time. And children who have lost their father yet are open enough to let another man into their lives and their hearts. Oh, to them it’s not that complex, but these matchmakers are definitely the scene-stealers, and the melting hearts of this romance – at least, for me they definitely were.

One stubborn man and one equally stubborn woman are about to fall in love, and the odd thing is that neither seems to mind all that much. One Night with a Cowboy was full of the intense emotional draw that I expect from this author. A world with natural dangers but beauty and peace as well. With laughter, even a few tears, Wes and Thea find their way to their own happiness with the help and shenanigans of two youngsters who know exactly who they want in their lives. I had a blast back in this world with a story that is sizzling in places, heartfelt in others, and overall just right for this couple. If you love a good story that will bring a smile to your face and a sigh to your lips… then you’ll want to pick this story up right now.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher, Forever via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

WOW just WOW. I loved Kelly's last series, but this one is already just amazing! Willa has been in love Aiden since she was 11 and that all changed for him one winter break. But he always wanted to be a SEAL and so he pushed her away. They years later are both single and try it again, but Aiden has to face his past and SEAL time in order to be there for Willa. Aiden is amazing with Willa's son and helping out with the family.

Loved how Kelly wrote about PSTD and other issues that happen when veterans come back; it also seems like we might get more of this in the series.

I love this new town, characters, side characters and can't wait for more of this series!

4 stars
3.5 steam

Thank you to the author and Grey’s Promo for the eARC for my completely honest review.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
First Kiss with a Cowboy (Silverado Lake #1)

This is Thea and Wes’s story. One mistake cost him everything and he left. Now he was needed and came back. Single mother Thea does not have time for distractions. She is trying to hold her little family together. Wes is super with her children but is it enough to trust him in the long run? What happens when the event and week are over will they go their separate ways or can he convince her to give him a chance at a future together?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

Thank you to @readforeverpub and @netgalley for a copy of the book. This was a great cowboy romance. I don’t read much in this genre and enjoyed the chemistry between Thea and Wes. I love the aspect of both of them at crossroads with their life and figuring out what to do. The connection between Wes and Ryan really stole the show IMO. I love how Ryan was so good with Thea’s kids.

I thoroughly enjoyed Sara Richardson’s One Night With A Cowboy, the second novel in the Silverado Lake series. The author has created novel filled with charming characters, honest emotions and a heartwarming storyline.
Wes and Thea are complex characters. Wes Harding is rodeo clown who is on the road constantly until his sister asks him to supervise a special event at the family’s ranch. Guilt and regrets over things unsaid have kept Wes away from the ranch. I loved that there was so much more to Wes’s happy go lucky image. The author decision to have Wes and Ryan bond immediately was a great plot choice as it enabled the reader to connect with both characters.
Sara Richardson is spot on with the mother daughter conflict between Thea and her daughter Liv—the dialogue in these scenes was perfectly written. I loved that the author dug deep with Thea; everyone thought that she had the ideal life when in fact her marriage was anything but perfect. The author portrays Thea’s situation with honesty and emotion. I was drawn to Thea and her determination to raise her children and to continue leading the military treat at Silverado Lake.
I liked the sizzling attraction between Wes and Thea – I could easily imagine the sparks flying! On the surface, Wes and Thea seemed total opposites but, in truth their wants and needs were very much in sync. The author writes a compassionate, heartwarming romance for this couple. Loved the messages of hope, love and redemption found throughout the novel.
One Night With A Cowboy is second chance romance that will tug at your heartstrings. The engaging characters, the relatable conflict and the author’s message resonated with me. One Night With A Cowboy has a special place on my keeper shelf.
I highly recommend this novel and am looking forward to the next book in the series.

this is the second book in the series with Wes and Thea seeing each other since his sister's wedding! He's a rodeo (bull rider) clown and she is a guidance counselor for children and a military widow - both of them are still suffering and grieving from their losses (his father) but find comfort with each other - another great story from Sara! I read a paperback copy!

While his sister is down from a complicated pregnancy, Wes Harding is taking her place and helping out where he can. Thea is a single mother who is still trying to figure out life after her husband passing and hoping this yearly get together can help her family. She never expected Wes and although he seems like a good guy she's not sure if she entirely trusts him because of a trust issues from her late husband. But the more time they spend together its hard not to want to be together.

I really enjoyed this book. This book was a bit about healing and trying to get past what happened in the past. I mean Wes is dealing with some guilt when it comes to his father and isn't close to anyone and has found himself drawn to the Thea and her small family. Thea is trying to keep her family together and feels a bit iffy when it comes to her past relationship with her ex, it was pretty rock and not sure how to deal with this. There was ups and downs for this family trying to get together, finding trouble and finding love. There was so much going on in this book to keep any reader interested and I really enjoyed reading it.

Sometimes I'm a little hesitant to read bout widowed, single parents of older children but Sara Richardson wrote this plotline SO well. The connection between Wes and Thea's son, Ryan was so sweet and Ryan always seemed to know just the right things to say to Ryan and it just made my heart melt every time. Thea was a great mom and despite the guilt about her marriage and the death of their father, she was doing her best to help her kids thrive and not let that guilt ruin their memories. Of course she underestimated just how closely kids can pay attention, mostly when you are hoping they are not.

There were some serious sparks between Thea and Wes right from the beginning and seeing them each trying to work past their traumas to allow themselves to be truly happy in the future made for an emotional, yet still fun read. I highly recommend this book and pretty much anything by Sara Richardson to anyone who likes books with a lot of heart and a little steam.

Rodeo cowboy Wes Harding left his family ranch after one reckless mistake cost his loved ones everything. But when his sister needs help, Wes agrees to come home and take the reins of their ranch’s big charity event. However, he didn’t plan for his distracting, stubborn co-hostess. One kiss with Thea throws his world off balance . . . and has Wes craving the family he’s never dared dreamed of.
This is the 2nd book in this series and a fun read especially if you like sexy cowboys.
Thea is a widow with 2 kids and her son fall for Wes and Wes starts hanging out with the boy and being a male figure that he seems to need in his life.
Wes blames himself for a family tragedy and that is why he ran away years ago. It takes him coming back and being around his family to help him heal.
Thanks for ARC to review from Forever and NetGalley.

This book was quite the emotional roller coaster but so worth it! Plus it's one of my favorite tropes-single parents. Wes agrees to help his sister out with a project on their family ranch for their charity event. He wasn't prepared to fall for his co-worker Thea who was also doing some work for the charity event. I loved Thea because she worked hard but loved being a mom. She has always been so careful in holding her small family together and was surprised to see how well her kids bonded with Wes. They were only supposed to be in town for a week or so but Wes wants to see if she'll stay with him forever.

Wonderful story about a woman who learns to let go (of her old marriage, her strictness in life) and a man who learns to settle and not run away as he’s been doing since his father’s death. Thoroughly enjoyed Wes's relationship with the kids.
