I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. The beginning was complex in its examination of issues surround motherhood (especially queer motherhood), and there were sections in that first 60% or so that truly freaked me out. (It probably didn't help that I was reading this in the dark during an ice storm as chunks of ice and snow were falling from the roof and tink-tinking against the windows.)
It then turns into a gory, horrific nightmare of a thriller, and it's a race to the finish.

I love this book it’s unconventional an atmospheric thriller. No one can be trusted and everyone is unreliable. Get ready for the thriller of the year. I highly recommend this book.
