Definitely a darker read but not black. It was a bit tough to get started but once I did it was okay. Not one I would re read.

I was granted a copy of this book by Netgalley, in exchange for my honest opinion.
This book gave me Stephen King vibes throw out the whole experience, it’s definitely not something I’m used to. Took me a while to get used to this book and his premise, I found my self a bit confused about the world building to be more precise, where this happened. Maybe if we head more references, and descriptions I could feel better the environment that this was made in. I found it to lack in character diversity and the ways it’s was portrayed at least for my usual reading style turned into a bit bland storyline I wasn’t very interested in the plot how I wanted to be, again, could just be because it’s not my usual. The writing was good we see different points of view, witch kept me wondering who to trust, I found that to be very interesting and kept me going.

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. An end of the world type book. Might be a good pick for Halloween Month 🎃.

I enjoyed this debut, and look forward to reading more by the author..

I liked the plot line, which was creepy and intriguing , I enjoyed how the characters played out what would happen, I would probably just sit and cry!

Thank you to Netgalley and the author for allowing me to read this!

I am just not sure this book was for me. I wanted to love it but I was just not feeling it. I did finish reading and loved some of the concepts but I am just not sure if I read this at the right time. I have been catching up on lots of the netgalley ARCs so I may have just read this one at the wrong time. The writing was good and it did have some very interesting parts. I may come back a do a reread at a later date.

i enjoyed reading this, as it had a great take on horror and fantasy. I really could feel the terror in being left alone after sleeping. The writing was well done and I look forward to more from the author.

2.5 stars. A group of friends meet in one of their homes for a night of cards, food and chatter. So far, so normal, so mundane but when they were sleeping something exceptionally weird happens. I liked the silence, the emptiness, the knowledge that something was hunting them but it was a confusing tale and I skimmed the repetitive bits. Some parts were definitely creepy and menacing and others drifted along slowly. Maybe some of this has been lost in translation. A great idea though!

I enjoyed this debut, not without some qualifications, but overall I felt this was a very promising start.

Readers should go into this book as blindly as possible - there's a level of reveal to this book that really enhanced the story. I would perhaps have liked a little more explanation overall, but the way layers were unpeeled in the story was done in a very natural way.

There's just something about the concept here that I really liked - friends who have stayed up late suddenly finding themselves under threat - maybe - but certainly cut off from the world they usually live in. It's ominous and spooky, and just a great idea. I could have done with less of the sexism, and maybe a female character who wasn't there just to show how brutal the world is now, but it's hardly an issue isolated to just this author.

Overall, as mentioned, a great start. I'm interested to see what this author does next.

Unfortunately this was a DNF for me. It just didn't draw me in and I did not want to get bogged down trying to continue reading it.

Void Fate is what I would describe as an interesting and ominous novel.

This Supernatural Fantasy novel has twists of everything, from horror, to suspense. After a relaxing night together, five friends, Daniel, Arthur, Aram, Harris, and Michael discover they are left alone on earth, and the world as they knew it is gone. What happened while they were asleep? Who else is out there!? The friends just keep hope while battling against evil in what’s left of the world.

To start off, the synopsis itself pulled me in. I see inspiration from Stephen King in here, but the books was filled with unique details as well.

I can’t give much away without spoilers, but overall I was impressed! This was fast-paced, plot-focused, and suspenseful. At times, I was confused, and a few things weren’t very clear in this, but overall, I thought this was a great read for any day.

I highly recommend to those looking for a book with many unique, suspenseful, and terrifying twists!

Wow... very interesting read for sure. I honestly couldn't put it down though because it was so intriguing. The main character was definitely an interesting one (can you tell I like that word?) lol but in all honesty go ahead and give this one a try! Might surprise you.

I am not sure I know what I just read. The idea of a dystopian setting with parallel world/reality was great but I don’t think it was executed well. I got into the story pretty quickly but about 40% in I was starting to lose interest. I almost wanted to DNF but being that far in I decided to finish it. Unfortunately, I could not understand what was going on and the ending left me with even more questions felling like “WTF was this”.

Thank you to Net Galley, the author and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange of my honest review.

This book is not normally a genre I would choose to read and I think this is why I struggled in parts with the book. Having said that I enjoyed the writing style of the author. For anyone who enjoys sci-fi/dystopia novels thus would be a good read. I have given 2 stars mainly because its not my preferred reading choice

This book is a bit different to what I would usually read, but I really enjoyed it. The book grips your attention from the start and has you hooked into the story completely. This book is thriller/mystery that will keep you guessing. I would definitely recommend this book to other readers.

I'm not going to pretend that I haven't been avoiding starting this since November. The cover scared me off, and it being described as a horror didn't help much. I finally forced myself to start this though, and im super happy I did!

Id like to start this off by saying this is not a horror. Its not really a fantasy either. To me, it felt more like a sci-fi or a dystopian. I'm not a horror reader, so I was super happy about that, but don't go into this expecting a scary book. It was creepy, but not like a horror movie.

This book is put together in a super artistic way. It's not necessarily fast paced, and not a lot happens over the course of it, but somehow it doesn't become boring. It drew me in as soon as I started, and I never felt like putting it down. The world it was set in felt intricate and thought out, and although I had constant questions, they didn't irritate me.

The one complaint I had about this was my confusion regarding certain aspects of it. Do the ghost/fog things hunt by sound? If so, why did our character make so much of it?? The entire time, they were shouting, and it drove me crazy! And, its repeated multiple times that you can't outrun these fog thingies, but our character do...? Multiple times? These are minor concerns, but I did struggle with them.

Although I didn't want to start this, I really enjoyed it when I did! I constantly wanted to know what was going on, and I couldn't wait to get my questions answered!

Thanks to Suren G. Hakobyan and Netgalley for providing a free copy in exchange for an honest review!

Ugh, I could not get into this book at all. I am a fan of certain kinds of horror, but this one just didn’t do it for me. I did not finish it. The writing style was good, however, leading me to think I would read another book by this author.

I wouldn’t personally recommend it, but maybe there are some horror fans out there that this would particularly appeal to.

I got an ARC of this book.

I have been trying for the last few weeks to read this book. It has not gone well. This is only partially the book, but mostly my reading slump. I ended up DNF this one. So, it really could have gotten better after I gave up. I hope it did. It sounded really cool. I loved the premise. I just sat through badly dubbed show with the same idea of everyone disappears out of nowhere and a group of friends need to survive. So this is a premise that is perfect for me, it just wasn't executed well and didn't come into my life at the right time.

The book is really odd. There are things like "And he didn't know this would be the last time any cell phone would ever work!" sort of lines at the ends of chapters. It explained too much and tried to build suspense in a way that does not work in a novel format. Instead it just felt like lazy writing and made me cringe (it made me think of my own writing attempts).

There were so many characters introduced at once that I couldn't tell them apart. The chapters switched POVs around the characters, but they sounded exactly alike so there was no way I could learn them. This is my biggest pet peeve when it comes to multiple characters. If you can't make the characters distinct enough that I don't have to read the chapter label, then it isn't well done. So many authors can't pull it off, but do it in every single book they write (looking at a certain YA author that is wildly famous).

So the idea was wonderful, but this version of the idea just wasn't for me this time.
