This was such an in depth look at morning rituals, incredible amount of back story into each one, and there is also a playlist the authors made to match with it! Say no more. I loved the way the rituals were laid out in meditation, visualization, mantras, and something to fuel your body. I'm so excited to try some of the recipes they put in.

The expectation is that you identify one of these rituals and perform it for an extended period of time to really gain the benefits from it. I liked that even though these rituals are lengthy, they show you how to keep them shorter for everyday life. I loved the info on doing your rituals in the morning versus another time of day, it really inspired me to start waking up just a smidge earlier to spend some time with myself.

I was not familiar with Britt and Tara prior to this book, but I have jumped into the knowledge that they have because I really couldn't get enough. They seem to roll spirituality into a realistic bundle which I love! Thank you Britt Deanda, Tara Schulenberg, New Harbinger Publications, and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The book itself is beautiful. The layout is clean and makes turning the pages easy. It feels like a wellness retreat/workshop tied up in a book that you can do at home at your own pace and revisit activities that resonate with you...
Where the book lost me, is the crazy amount of cultural appropriation and the lack of inclusiveness. Where some of the content of the activities is there, instructions on how to set up a space and items needed can leave people feeling like they can't do this work without a labradorite crystal or without access to a powerful juicer. There is a lot of good information and practices muddled in between "feel good" privileged influencer vibes.
Beautiful Book, just feel like the intention is directed at privileged folx

I’ve been listening to Britt and Taras podcast on and off for the last few years. They always seems very knowledgeable and passionate about spirituality, Yoga and self development. This book brings that to a whole new level.

This book is FULL of different resources and practices to help improve your mind body connection and create a better start to your day.

This is going to be a book I come back and visit periodically to discover more about certain practices. The practices are laid out with a lot of detail so you don’t feel lost. I liked having the illustrations as guides as well.

This isn’t the type of book you would sit and read in one sitting, instead it is laid out as a practice. A book you can revisit again and again to grow your own practices and expand yourself.

I think Britt and Tara did a fantastic job with this book and I look forward to incorporating it into my morning routine even more.

I’ve never read anything quite like this before, so I found it quite fascinating and inspiring. For me personally, it’s a book that I want to go back and revisit time and time again. Just wonderful!

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

This was a great lifestyle book for those that enjoy yoga/meditation. It provides daily mantras for whatever you're going through in life. While I find it hard to be able to fit these mantras into my life, I could see how people who are avid yoga goers, would enjoy incorporating these into their routines.
I really enjoyed how they included recipe/drinks to add as well.
I think it was a very detailed book and would make an excellent gift for fitness/wellness lovers.

This is a lovely guide to implementing morning routines to make you more in-tune with yourself and start your day off on the right foot. I love that there is also a Spotify playlest of corresponding mantras for the meditations and different recipies with various focus so that it's a complete experience.
Looking forward to starting with one of these ideas tomorrow morning!
Many thanks to New Harbinger and NetGalley for the advance copy.

I have two major issues with this book.

1) It's clear that this book is for an audience well-versed with "new agey" things but the title/cover/description doesn't make that apparent.

2) This book seems like a mash of other cultures repackaged for western consumers and I found myself cringing at times. I think yoga is for everyone but the casual mentions of wearing a white scarf on your head gives me great pause.

Bottom line: This book isn't for me but I understand that there's definitely an audience for it. I gave two stars because I found the illustrations helpful.

How frustrating is it to be told by all the different sources the things you must do to be successful in life? This book definitely does NOT do that. It instead takes an empathetic approach and gives bite size approaches and allows you to have kindness and patience with yourself when dealing with life. This is so necessary for everyone to read in life. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Includes 20+ rituals to start one's day, most of which borrow from other cultures (and often end up slamming together different culture and traditions that would otherwise not intersect). While I assume the intention was good, there's something a bit hinky about two apparently white women sharing "sacred" traditions from other cultures without explaining the meaning of the tradition, how they came to be educated in the practice, or to whom the rituals (or elements of the rituals) should be accurately credited.
