I don't usually enjoy manga that is an adaptation of a game, as it is such a different format and adaptation can be tricky to get right. Surprisingly, this spin-off of the main BanG Dream! series is delightful! The girls all have believable backstories and there is some band drama, but it is dealt with naturally. Suggested for libraries with larger collections, though there is likely to be more call for this series as there is also a 2-part anime movie adaptation in the works.

3.5 Stars (I received an e-arc from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review)

I got both volumes from NetGalley for review and I have enjoyed both, though volume 2 seemed to be be to slower but still have too may side story lines. Well I did like the outcome and positive ending I just didn’t find love it as much as the first volume.

The second volume in which Yukina debates leaving the band in order to play on the Fes stage solo. The band gets costumes and performs for a chance to compete at Fes, but doesn't make it. They resolve to work harder and win next year.

This manga series is so adorable and heart warming!

We follow a group of five girls who come together to form a band called Roselia. Their goal is to win this contest and become famous with their music.

I really liked this volume! We get to see so many more layers to each of the girls. They all went through some hard times, seeing them communicate and talk about their feelings in such a healthy way was so nice to see! It made them stronger as friends and as a band.

I’m not going to spoil the ending but the way this finished made me really wish I had volume 3! I really want to see these girls continue to grow and mature and really learn themselves and their music.

This was a great sequel to the first volume! I can’t wait for volume 3. I love this all female friend group!

3.5/5 ⭐️
