This was a cute little manga with nice art and a fairly predictable plot. I still enjoyed it, though I don’t know if I’d go out of my way to pick up the next volume. When I say the art is gorgeous I really mean it, it’s so so pretty. I’m hoping as volumes progress I will get more attached as there’s quite a few characters now which can be a bit overwhelming at times.

Huge fan of the first volume so I had to continue on with these and I adored it! Lizel and Gil are so opposite yet they work together so well. I love their bond and seeing them grow as a team. I can't wait to see more of them if and when more volumes come out.

I love this series. The relationship between Gil and Lizel is fantastic. I can't wait to read the next volume!

A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation is such a lovely manga. It's a delightful and quick read with gorgeous art and nice storyline. There's adventure, action, mysterious characters and fantastical labyrinth, where adventurers can go to treasure hunt and slay monsters. Lizel also loves books, which is a great for a bibliophile like me; Lizel pretty much hears that somewhere has books and there he goes. Lizel's delightfully whimsical and I love to see Gil's reactions to his whims. There's also a new character introduced so even more mysteries ahead, which I like in this series. I cannot wait for the third volume!

It had been long enough since reading the first volume that I had completely forgotten everything that occurred in that volume. Thankfully there are not too many characters to keep up with and I still fully enjoyed the series. A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation is not a series that many are going to be familiar with, but it is fun, so I would call it a secondary purchase for most libraries and a first purchase for libraries with large manga/GN collections.

Overall, I really enjoyed this volume. We got to travel to another city with Lizel and Gil, with Judge and Studd along as well, and the new surroundings provided some new information about the world for Lizel (and us!), and allowed us to get to know Judge and Studd a little better. I love Lizel's laid back attitude about things, and Gil's tolerance of Lizel's quirks. Judge's fanboying over Lizel is too cute, and Studd? Well, he's a stud, what can you say? We get more hints at undercurrents and intrigue, but my only complaint with this volume is we don't get enough forward movement. I do like a good slow burn, but you gotta stoke the fire a bit more if you wanna keep it going! That said, this was a pleasant journey that added more character development, and learning about the mechanics of the dungeons was interesting. And don't forget the BL teases and swoony art style! Looking forward to the next volume!

I was looking forward to read about Gil and Lizel. First volume pleasantly surprised me and I was more than ready to continune their adventure.

Second volume follows where first one ended. It's not as action packed as the first one. Author focuses more on character building, introduction of new characters and setting plot for something bigger. I wasn't bothered by slower pace, in fact I might enjoy it even more. I enjoyed developing relationship between Lizel and Gil and "jealousy" by some new characters. That was fun.

Misaki's art style is pretty clean and pleasant to look at. A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation is a little fun series I'd enjoy to everyone who wants to relax and enjoy some simple but cute story.

A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation, Volume 2, by Misaki is scheduled for release on January 19 2021. I do recommend reading this series in order.

When Lizel mysteriously finds himself in a city that bears odd similarities to his own but clearly isn't, he quickly comes to terms with the unlikely truth: this is an entirely different world. Even so, laid-back Lizel isn't the type to panic. He immediately sets out to learn more about this strange place, and to help him do so, hires a seasoned adventurer named Gil as his tour guide and protector. Until he's able to find a way home, Lizel figures this is a perfect opportunity to explore a new way of life adventuring as part of a guild. After all, he's sure he'll go home eventually, might as well enjoy the otherworldly vacation for now!

Much like the first volume of A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation, this installment is well written and drawn. I liked the pacing and the artistic style of the work. The digital galley I received had a few formatting issues- but I am certain that it will look perfect in its final version. I liked the character development done in the story, and loved getting a closer look at Lizel, Gil, and the variety of people they come across together. It has adventure, friendship, and a bit of mystery all wound up in detailed artwork. I think that everyone that enjoyed the first volume will be happy with this volume as well, and just as eager to see where the story goes next as I am.

Volume 2 doesn't disappoint!
Once again we follow Lizel as he finds out more about this new world he is in, with Gil alongside him. The story moves slowly in a great way, allowing you to get acquainted with the world and characters, but not too much, leaving a lot of things left to discover.
I'm really enjoying this story and can't wait to keep reading!

Once more we find ourselves immersed in the world of Lizel, an innocent yet mysterious character, and Gil, Liezel's tour guide turned guild partner, and towards a new adventure, this time in a merchant’s town where they will meet a new lord that has yet to decide whether to be an ally or an enemy.

This second volume follows the previously stablished design and will present us with new information about the characters, their motivations and their relations(?!). Still the volume brings that "in between" sensation of transition between the events of the past volume and the story to come.

An e-ARC of this book was kindly provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I am loving this series so much. Gil and Lizel are the perfect travel companions. Their personalities match seamlessly and provide several comedic moments. Lizel's interactions with this new world he has never traveled to makes the story interesting as you are learning new things with him. You have the adventurers aspect of DanMachi that really pushed this series over the edge to 5 stars for me. While book two is mostly exposition with not a lot of action, you can tell that the story is leading up to something big. I cannot wait for volume 3. A special thanks to the publisher for allowing me access to this ARC. It definitely did not disappoint.

This book feels like DnD got mixed with a fantasy RPG. It's interesting how the concept of dungeons, maps, and loot are incorporated into a world seemlessly.

My biggest issues are how, as the reader, I feel dragged along with little to no idea as to what a lot of things are, the plot, the characters, etc. You don't get really any internal dialogue to help discover who Gil and Lizel are, and there are various other characters who obviously are watching them, but there's no explanation or even a hint given as to why. I'm totally OK with having no clue where a plot is going, but I would like some sort of connection to the characters where I know something more about them, or even a vague idea of what they want to do. Instead, this feels meandering with no direction--I'm assuming there is one, but I, as a reader, haven't been shown it. There are a lot of vague hints to vague ideas of stuff, but they're so vague that it's hard to form an idea as to what is going on.

I will keep reading it if only to find out what is going on in this story, but I definitely think there needs to be more information given regarding the characters and their thoughts or ideas on stuff.

This volume is okay in the sense that you get to learn more about the mysterious Lizel, but once again, not much happens. It's frustrating since the story is moving slowly, even though we get introduced to 2 new nobles in this volume along with some action scenes during a trip to another city and a dungeon adventure.. The artwork is very pretty and the creature designs are somewhat scary enough to pose a challenge to our adventurers. They note at the end that this is based on a light novel,, so perhaps the pace of the light novel is better.

But the slow pace might be to your liking, since Lizel is on vacation in another world, and wouldn't you want to go your preferred pace on vacation? For me, I read it because I still want to find out about who Lizel actually is in his own world. The curiosity kept me reading. I would recommend picking this up at the library though.

Volume 2 of A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation has us continuing to follow Lizel as he discovers more about this world he’d found himself in while Gil continues to tag along looking for something strong to test himself against. I loved seeing more of Studd and Judge and of course the world.
This series so far has been light hearted and just a really enjoyable read and I look forward to seeing the world continue to grow and expand and see what is further in store for Lizel as he just takes in everything around him like it’s the world’s weirdest vacation until he may or may not get back to his own world.

Thank you to Independent Publishers Group, TokyoPop, and NetGalley for the e-ARC to read and review!

The adventure begins albeit at a leisurely pace in the merchant town of Marcade. Lizel’s joy at the sights and curiosity are infectious. Lizel is eager to sight-see while Gil just wants to test his skills against powerful opponents.

I love how smitten Judge, who accompanies Lizel and Gil to Marcade, is with Lizel. Judge is so darling and I hope he becomes a member of their party. I think he’d be a delightful addition to the group.

Lizel and Gil are so compatible with each other and are surely on track to becoming fast friends. They are an eye-catching pair in more ways than one so of course strange trouble follows. Lizel is very astute and it’s interesting how he manages to solve pieces to any puzzle he and Gil are faced with.

Those last few scenes between the two were very appealing and I wonder how what took place will affect their relationship going forward.

I utterly adored Volume 1, and Volume 2 didn't disappoint.
The artwork was stunning, the story a great continuation, and the characters somehow became even more engaging and intriguing than before. Not only did the plot continue from where it left off, but it expanded upon the adventurer and magical aspects, to add new characters amongst the familiar, and begin new adventures.
Lizel and Gil's friendship had room to grow, here, but it also had a hint of a romance to come, which I am SUPER excited about. Their chemistry is so cute, with Gil being embarrassed by that portrait and jealous over how Judge and Ray both fawned over Lizel. Judge is an interesting character and I see there seems to be a big secret about him, yet to be discovered. I also really love Studd, and his friendship/feelings for Judge are adorable.
I can't wait for Volume 3.

Having enjoyed volume one of A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation, I was keen to see what would be in store next for Lizel and Gil. Volume two continued in a fairly lighthearted vein, with some more nice moments between Lizel and Gil. The trip out of town allowed us to meet some new characters, including the interesting Shadow, and there was still some action and adventure towards the end of the volume. I finished volume two still interested in learning more of the world and characters and so would definitely like to keep reading into volume three. Recommended for fans of lighthearted fantasy-adventure mangas. It's 4.5 stars from me.

I love these characters so damn much! Lizel and Gil are polar opposites personality wise so that makes their friendship and banter so much fun to read and witness.

I really enjoyed seeing how their friendship is evolving. Lizel getting so vulnerable at the end was so sweet to see! I hope we get more precious moments like that between them. More fight scenes too!

We get introduced to a new character that seems pretty interesting too, I can’t wait to learn more about him in future volumes!

Overall, I adore the hell out of this series and I desperately wish I had volume 3 right now😭

I received an ARC of this manga in exchange for an honest review.

Lizel and Gil are once again on an adventure! This time, accompanied by Judge, the two adventurers head to Marcade. Lizel is determined to sight-see, while Gil just wants to fight a strong opponent. A new character appears, and he is rather interesting. Later on, the adventurers discover something strange...

Once again, this volume was so light-hearted and amusing! The personality differences between Lizel and Gil never fail to entertain me, especially with all the trouble they get themselves into. Shadow, the new character, might end up being one of my favorites! This volume was enjoyable and I look forward to more adventures with Lizel and Gil!
