Antoni's second cookbook is just as beautiful as his first. The book is broken into several different categories, one of which is devoted to eggs (YUM!). I'm in love with the Oozy Egg and Sausage Sandwich with Melty Cheese and Giardiniera (although I did have to make some adaptions since I can't have pork or gluten). The Lamb Burgers with Cilantro Chutney are also amazing! I noticed some other reviewers mentioned that the ingredients were hard to find/not normal pantry staples. While that may be true for some people, I found that most of the pantry ingredients were things I normally stock or I could easily make substitutions. I also plan my menus at least a week ahead of time so I didn't have any issues with the recipes being too time consuming for a weeknight meal. I do come home every day for lunch and have gotten into the habit of prepping my dinners then. If you have a very limited time to make dinner and don't want to do any prepping ahead of time, you may want to save the recipes for the weekend.
I was provided and ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

What a perfect cookbook!

This beautiful book, the second to be presented by Antoni Porowski, our favorite foodie from Queer Eyes Fab Five, is packed with recipes for easy and healthy dinners for the work week, featuring “Big” Salads, Vegan and Meatless meals, and Eggs For Dinner, as well as a beautiful selection of higher carb comfort food (Pasta!), perfect for weekend splurges. Separate chapters are also provided showcasing delectable Seafood, Poultry, Red Meat recipes, as well as Pasta, Snacks and Sides, and lovely food to be shared “On a Cold and Rainy Night”.

Like having dinner with a good friend, this book is comforting, cheerful, and celebratory - many recipes have multiple gorgeous full page photos and each recipe is graced with simple, clear and concise instructions, all based on easily accessible ingredients.

Although I marked almost every single recipe in this book as a “to-try”, some of my absolute favorites, along with the sections they appear in, are listed below:

1. Big Salads - Lean protein with delicious greens and special ingredients, the recipes in this section are as beautiful as they are healthy and delicious.

- Sicilian Tuna Salad with Oranges and Beets
- Sweet Pea Falafel Salad, with Yogurt-Tahini dressing - (In an interesting twist the falafel uses canned chickpeas and chickpea flour as well as frozen peas).

2. Vegan and Meatless Meals - Gorgeous soups, stews and plates featuring veggies and legumes, quinoa, and tofu.

- White Bean and Cauliflower soup with Herby Oil- (Almost a stew, this looks mouth-watering!)
- Chili Roasted Winter Squash with Lentils, Lime and Arugula

3. Break an egg - A wonderful assortment of frittatas, polenta, omelets and more.

- Cheesy Polenta with Eggs, Mushroom and Thyme - (Poached eggs nestled in creamy herbed polenta with mushrooms)
- Masala Spinach Omelet - an open faced lightly Indian spiced omelet

4. Sandwiches - Includes hand-held favorites like beef, pork or lamb burgers, burritos, and pita pizzas

- Chicken and bean burritos with spicy pineapple slaw

5. Comfort food (carb) - pasta!

-Rigatoni alla Vodka, with Chicken
-Lemon Spaghetti with Toasted Walnuts and Parsley

6. Seafood
-Grilled swordfish and veg with citrusy salt.
-Scallops with burst cherry tomatoes and corn

7. Poultry
-Sheet Pan Chicken with Rosemary and Grapes
-Chicken Rice Bowl with Chili Mayo and Ginger

8 Red Meat
-Strip Steak with Harissa Butter and Parsley Salad
-Smokey Bean and Sausage Ragout

9. Cold and rainy nights
- The Best Damn Nachos
- Cheese Fondue (with good things to dip!)

10. Snacks and Sides
- Sweet Potato Wedges

Antoni: Let's Do Dinner is perfect for people who want to cook something a little fancier without having to spend hours and lots of money to do it! The cookbook breaks different dinner ideas down into multiple sections like salads, egg-based dinners, different meats, and my personal favorite, "carb comas." Each recipe that I tried took less than an hour, if that, and was made of unique but still easy to find ingredients. One recipe, Chicken Paillards with Caper-Butter Sauce, uses capers, which I had never heard of until this book. Not only was that recipe delicious, it was quick, easy, sounds super cool, and I learned about a new ingredient. Antoni has a knack for flavor combinations, and these recipes are no exception. There are still plenty of recipes from the book I am raring to try, including mashed potatoes with fries. The minute I saw that recipe I knew I was going to love anything I tried to make from the book. Someone who suggests doubling down on potatoes for dinner is someone that I fully trust when it comes to food. Therefore-I fully trust Antoni Porowski and his recipes.

I received Antoni: Let's Do Dinner as part of a NetGalley giveaway.

Known as the "food guy" on Queer Eye, Antoni Porowski shares some of his favorite quick and easy dinner recipes that still pack a punch. The recipes themselves are fairly accessible, but may occasionally contain ingredients with which novice chefs may not have a lot of hands-on experience. Having the name recognition that he does, the presentation is first-rate, with beautiful graphics and photography. I appreciate his focus on vegetables, which always appeal to me, though there are plenty of creamy chicken and pasta dishes to satisfy heartier appetites. All in all, a nice array of accessible recipes. If you're grabbing this off the shelf based purely on name recognition, you could do a lot worse.

This is a really beautiful recipe book with gorgeous photos and lovely fresh ideas. It is absolutely perfect for summer. For ages I have been looking for a recipe book with actual salad recipes, and this has a bunch of really good ones. Thanks so much to the publisher for the free copy! Due to formatting issues on the kindle I’d advise people open this ARC on a laptop or desktop using Adobe, otherwise it isn’t super easy to follow the recipes.

Honestly, such a great cookbook. I tried things like the soups or the dumplings and found new ideas on what to make for dinner other than my usual stir-fry.

Beautiful laid out with mouthwatering pictures! I really enjoyed how the instructions were written and how clear they were to follow. All the recipes seemed accessible for any kind of cook and didn't included hard to get ingredients or odd equipment.

Everything about this cookbook made me smile and want to run to my kitchen and start cooking. The recipes are elevated yet simple in their approach, using fresh ingredients, herbs, and spices. Not over complicated yet gourmet flavors and presentation. Every recipe has beautiful color photos and the hand written and clever chapter titles, recipes and quotes throughout make you feel like you are in Antoni’s kitchen with him. The many delicious recipes featuring eggs make this mostly veg and big egg eater happy. I absolutely cannot wait to have my own hard copy in my hands and a part of my cookbook collection. The hardest part now will be choosing which amazing recipe to try next.

What a fun cookbook!! This is the second cookbook from Antoni Porowski, and it does not disappoint. I'm not a cook. I fumble my way through the kitchen enough to feed myself and can sometimes rise to the occasion to scrap together a good old-fashioned midwest casserole, but that's about it. Cookbooks often frustrate me, because they contain ingredients that I have either never heard of or never have in my pantry- honestly is there anything worse than going out and spending money on something you're going to use once? That's why this cookbook was such a godsend. Antoni includes a list of pantry staples in the beginning pages, and you bet your ass I hit that screenshot button so fast my head spun. This cookbook not only makes consistent use of the pantry list but also contains items that you can reuse for other things you cook, time and time again.

My absolute favourite thing about this book, though, is how no-nonsense the recipes are. While reading this book for inspiration before a grocery trip, I thought to myself 'yeah, I can totally do this' on practically every recipe. It's not complicated, but also fancy enough to impress dinner guests (and I can finally retire that old casserole recipe!).

I love this cookbook! The recipes are very pretty to look at and they all sound delicious. The pictures make my mouth water and I simply want to taste everything.
I like how the sections are divided and it makes it easy to find what you are in mood for.
I’ll be sure to try probably all of these recipes and I’ve shared some of them with my mom, who is a chef, and she thinks they look amazing too. I’ll be off cooking with my mom now,

A stunning cookbook, cover to cover. My mouth is left watering after reading through the delicious recipes and looking at the gorgeous pictures.. What I like most about this cookbook is that 99% of the recipes have an accompanying photo. When it comes to cooking, I am visual and want to know how to serve and plate the dishes. This along with the variety of flavors and focus on vegetables, made this cookbook worth a purchase. If you love pasta, this is the book for you too, those dishes look divine. Well done Antoni and company! I look forward to adding this to my collection.

This cookbook helped me get out of my cooking rut of the past year. I’m looking forward to many more nights of great meals thanks to this cookbook.

I’m going to start by saying the pictures in this book are amazing. In this cook book it seems to have a little something for everyone which is amazing. The recipes seem easy to follow and I do plan on trying a few. The downside for me is the fact that some of the ingredients aren’t readily available to me. Some of the recipes, although simple, aren’t really something I would turn to on just any day. This wouldn’t be my go to cookbook but it definitely has a few gems.

This is such a diverse dinner cookbook! I can’t wait to get a physical copy for myself and some friends when it’s released. The layout is simply beautiful, and all the meals look appetizing and unique! I think I could easily make these for just my family but also to impress company. Definitely get this one! The only thing I’m disappointed in is that there are no desserts.

This is a good cookbook that is not my personal preference of cookbook, and so I am giving it a very middling three of five stars. To be clear, this could very well be a five-star cookbook to the right person, it's just that person isn't me. The food photography is absolutely gorgeous, no doubt. The recipes sound good. It's mostly a cooking style preference. Most of the recipes involve fairly simple cooking methods, they just have a lot of ingredients. Like, a LOT of ingredients. It's all a bit too involved for a cookbook touting, "simple," and, "exuberantly easy dinners."

However, the recipes ARE delicious. The ingredients are plentiful but also fresh and thoroughly satisfying. The presentation of everything is very nice, and the flavors seem well-balanced on the handful I tackled. I can see myself breaking this one out for special occasions with small groups for dinner or something like that, but there wasn't really anything in it that I thought could go into my regular rotation with the exception of the shakshuka, which was already in my regular rotation.

Not my favorite, but some solid recipes nonetheless. Thank you muchly to NetGalley and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Who doesn’t love Antoni? I enjoy watching him teach others to cook on Queer Eye, and his personality shines through in this book’s narratives. The narratives are very nice touch is they give background, depth and modifications for each recipe, along with explanations of the ingredients and cooking methodologies. There is also some solid advice on how to stock your pantry and fridge and freezer to be a well prepared cook, his recipes are by and large healthy, they look delicious, and there is some fresh twists on old classics. I know I’ll be referring to this book when I want to whip up something out of my regular rotation, but note: these recipes are intended to be easy to prepare and quick to get on the table, the best of all worlds.

Let me preface this by saying that I am a huge Queer Eye fan and absolutely fangirled out when I got this cookbook. I love Antoni and the complex recipes that he breaks down and makes easy on the show. So, I was definitely excited to be able to find some options like that for myself.

The front of this cookbook is just smart. The 10 Fast Favorites is an easy snip-it of what to expect. Then the "Stock Up the AP Way" is great. It is helpful to have items on hand already.

The photography and styling of the intro pages are well done and engaging. I like that there is an contents list per section.

As for the recipes, there are a lot of great vegan options, which are mentioned that they are vegan in the blurb. Additionally, there are options for just vegetarian, as well as with meat but still seem on the lighter side. A lot of egg options and they honestly make me drool every time I look at the photos.

I highly recommend this cookbook to anyone. I will be adding the print version to my cookbook shelf for sure!

Expansive and easy set of recipes that I enjoyed cooking. Photos in a cookbook are very important to me, and this book was easy to see what I wanted to cook. I thought the cookbook was organized well by section too.
