Picked this up due to the Life after Life comparison, but it really wasn't for me. No history sweep, no philosophy, character not interesting to me. I didn't get very far so judgment may not be fair. Seemed very telling-not-showing, and seemed like there was a huge gulf of events between chapter 1 and 2 that were conveyed woodenly.

I can’t stop thinking about this book. I was hooked from the first page and couldn’t put it down until the end, and now I can’t stop thinking about it. I’m not typically a fan of time travel fiction, but this was done in such a way that it didn’t have that sci-fi feel to it. A thirty-nine-year-old wife, mother, and psychiatrist is pregnant with her third child, dealing with the apparent suicide of a patient, and has just been questioned by police about it, when she finds herself back in her seventeen-year-old body. Not only does she have to figure out how she got there and how she’ll get back, but she has to convince the people around her that she’s not crazy. Add to that, the knowledge that something terrible is about to happen to her husband, something she can now prevent, and she has to take a step back and ask herself: Will this change my fate? This is a brilliantly written story with phenomenal character development that will leave you asking the question, “what would I do?” I’m eager to see what this author writes next. Thank you for the ARC from Netgalley for an honest review.

I could not put this book down and was glad to forfeit some sleep to finish it! I am so impressed by this debut novel! I can not wait to see what author Sarah Adlakha has up next for she is meant to write!!
The characters are relatable and well developed. I enjoyed the twisted time scenarios and the difficult choices the characters find themselves perplexed with are very identifiable. This novel left me pondering what would I do? Would I have the courage and selflessness?? Very thought provoking!
Thanks to the author, publisher and. Net Galley for the opportunity to read the ARC of “She Wouldn’t Change A Thing”
