Not particularly worth the read. I think the author focuses too much on their own opinions rather than using the actual statistics etc. It was well written but lacked real information.

This was well written and good, but not great. Too Many statistics to make it interesting and not enough discussion of the huge wedge that Trump drove into the divide.

I thought parts of this were relevant but some of the author's views and observations were all over the place. This is more about economic statistics than a broken political system. I thought there was going to be some discussion about Trumpism, there was not. Author was talking about some other books that have been recanted because of claims. SMH... waste of my time but good writing. Cannot say I can recommend for reading. The book is better as a coaster.

Thanks to Netgalley Manuel Hinds, and Charlesbridge Imagine for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book is not worth your time! The author has read both Stiglitz and Piketty but is apparently unaware that Stiglitz often writes books on inequality that do not contain a single chart or graph.. This because the actual economic statistics do NOT support any of his vapid claims. In the case of Piketty, the author is totally unaware that in 2015 Piketty retracted (recanted?) almost his entire book. The only good thing about this book is that Mr. Hinds writes well. Thus, two stars instead of only one.
