I was immediately intrigued when I read the synopsis of this one - a suspense book about three moms of children at an elite private preschool? Sign me up! This one was really fast paced and grabbed me from the start. I really loved that Lauren, Ronnie and Andrea all had their own POVs - I felt it gave a wholesome picture of everything happening and loved that we slowly learned more based on whose perspective we were reading! Their friendship was great and I thought the twists were well placed (and didn't guess them!) It did feel a little bit YA at times, but it didn't bother me!

I had high hopes for this book based on previous reviews and others by this author that I enjoyed. But, unfortunately, this one did not work for me. Maybe I wasn't the intended audience. Each woman has an amazing story on her own, but all together, it was confusing and rushed. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy in exchange for my honest review.

Having enjoyed the Pretty Little Liars series, I was excited to give this book a try. Safe in My Arms is full of the same sort of layered secrets and twists but has a much more adult feel to it. While characters with secrets sometimes drive me crazy as a reader (just tell the truth and you'll avoid so much of this!!!) it always makes for an entertaining read. I did figure out one of the "big" twists fairly early on and had a fairly good inkling as to the second big twist, but the plot felt fresh. All in all, 3.5 stars for this thriller!

I had a hard time continuing with this book. It was ok, and I can see how maybe some readers would enjoy it, but for myself I got a bit bored and it seemed to drag on and not hold my interest

I admit, I never watched PLL, but I did enjoy this book. I am a sucker for East Coast prep school books. I am not sure why, perhaps it is because I live in the Midwest! Each mom in this book has something to hide, but trying to do right by their child. Will their secrets cost them everything they have worked for in their lives? The book is told In multiple POV's which I really enjoyed!

Sara Shepard's work is phenomenal and Safe in My Arms was no exception! Enjoyed this book thoroughly and it kept me turning pages late into the night.

Sara Shepard, queen of the twisty mystery, returns with “Safe in My Arms.” Three moms have each newly joined a preschool. They bond over their discomfort about feeling new and unwanted at orientation, only to find their fears confirmed when they find notes stating they aren’t wanted among their children’s things. Each one of them is hiding a secret that they would hate to get out and it seems this mysterious letter writer knows. When the preschool director is found dead, they can’t help but feel that everything is connected. Who is the killer? And are they next?

This book was like slipping back into PLL all over again. It was twisty and dark, riddled with clues that I couldn’t quite link together until the end. The different character voices were so distinct and their lives felt so detailed. Shepard definitely has a way with creating characters.

I will say, this book felt like it was squeezing a lot into one book. Page wise, it was short, but it felt like each character could have a full book of their own and the story could have stretched further. I really think it could have been expanded into another series. But then maybe it would have felt too close to PLL?

In the end, this book was 3 stars from me. It was an interesting mystery, but I felt like this book tried to cover so much in a little over 300 pages. If you’re a PLL fan, this one is definitely for you!

Thanks to NetGalley and Dutton for the eARC in exchange for my honest review! And thanks to my local library for coming in clutch with a hard copy to help me catch up with my eARCs!

I've only ever read Sara Shepard's work in terms of Pretty Little Liars, so I wasn't sure what to expect with this one! Of course, there were plenty of compelling twists and turns (PLL's specialty) that made this satisfying.

Loved this intelligent and full of twists story and found it true to form in the difficult job that motherhood holds. Really thought provoking and a great read!

This is my first Sara Shepard novel. I'm a huge Pretty Little Liars fan, so I knew I would enjoy the suspense/thriller component to the story.

Well, it didn't disappoint. I didn't want to put it down!

I've been a fan of Sara Shepard since Pretty Little Liars. I was really hoping her new novels would hold up to what I remembered from her, boy did they. This book really sucked me in. It had a feel of Big Little Lies, but the story was even wilder than I could have imagined. If you want a book to keep you on the edge of your seat, this is it.

Sara Shepard, of 'Pretty Little Liars fame, takes us to an elite prep school in this thriller, where every parent has a secret, and one of them will kill to protect it.

Andrea, Lauren, and Ronnie all see themselves as good, loving moms who are trying their best, but they each arrive at the Silver Swans preschool Welcome Breakfast with something to hide. And then the skeletons in their closets are revealed and to top it the principal of the elite school is attacked leaving all three as suspects.

This is an adult thriller that keeps you engaged from the beginning. Andrea, Ronnie and Lauren were likeable and honest, and their friendship was genuine.

There are enough twists and turns in this novel to keep one guessing and the ending was also well done.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for sending a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Safe In My Arms is a natural progression for grown up fans of Sara Shepard's immensely popular Pretty Little Liars series. Just like that series this new book takes you on twists and turns you never expect. It also reexamines the relationships you have with those around you. We all have secrets, and some of those secrets might costs you everything.

I really enjoyed this story! The story kept my interest and I was on the edge of my seat to find out what happened. I liked that the points of view jump from person to person, it kept the story moving along quickly. I would definitely recommend this book!

I had high hopes for this one written by the author of Pretty Little Liars. Unfortunately, this turned out to be just ok. Seemed to be more in the domestic fiction category rather than a thriller. The book is told by multiple narrators with plenty of secrets to be kept. The character's children attend a preschool run by a domineering woman who ends up severely injured. The mystery revolves around her...who did it and why? Thank you Net Galley for allowing me the opportunity to review.

Safe In My Arms by Sara Shepard

A different story for sure. Many secrets, many Moms and Dads. It was a well-written page turner. Many twisted turns. Kept you guessing as to how it would end. I recommend this book.

Thanks to Net Galley for sending me an advanced reader’s copy for my review.
