Thank you Net Galley, Linwood Barclay and William Morrow Publishing for the ARC

I found his previous book was not very good. However, this newest one is wonderful. Many twists and turns. The characters are likeable OR not likeable. I was feeling for the main character throughout the entire book. This one I highly recommend.

3.5 out of 5 stars

Good thriller! Lots of twists and turns and suspense as the reader tries to figure out what is going on. This would make a great movie. Loved the part where Chloe is driving the RV through the mansion and down the stairs. Couldn’t put this one down until it reached the satisfying conclusion.

Tech millionaire Miles Cookson has recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness, and there is a strong chance that it can be passed on to the next generation. Although by all appearance he doesn't have any children, 20 years ago he was a sperm donor and the possibility exists that he does in fact have offspring. In an effort to find them, he discovers that they are being killed and all trace of them wiped away. There is more to the story than there appears and this becomes a fast paced thriller that was impossible to put down. The crazy (unbelievable) ending is the only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars.

Find You First may be a new favorite from Linwood Barclay. This was a page turner and kept me completely engrossed from page one to the end. If you're looking for a great thriller to add to your list, I highly recommend this book.

A standard, generic thriller. Not bad for fans of that genre but I did not find the premise particularly intriguing. I found the characters to be a bit one dimensional and would like to have seen more character development. It was hard for me to finish reading this, as it didn't hold my interest that well.

What a wild ride! This book is definitely a mind twister.

The beginning is slow. I knew the author was setting up the players aka the characters. With each character that was introduced, you wondered what roll they would play. The more I read, the sinister it got. There were a lot of suspects with motives that I couldn’t decide who was the villain. We meet Chloe. She’s one of many who will get some news that will change her life. She was a hard character to like. As a matter of fact, none of the characters were very likable. I kept thinking how awful they were. Towards the end, I was totally team Chloe. There are so many secrets and lies in this story, along with many twists and turns, that I gave up trying to figure out who was the bad guy and just enjoyed the crazy ride this book was.

As a whole, this book is suspenseful and entertaining. It will keep you on your toes till the very end! If you enjoy thrillers, you should consider adding this one to your TBR. I give this 3 stars.

Always a huge fan of Linwood Barclay's books and this one did not disappoint. Great characters - some you love and others you hate, suspense, mystery, and fast-paced storyline.

Miles Cookson built his vast wealth in the tech world. Unfortunately all his money can not change the fact he has been recently diagnosed with a terminal illness. Knowing Miles doesn’t have any children his doctor told him it is a good thing since there is a fifty percent chance it could be passed along. What the doctor doesn’t know is that about 20 years ago a young Miles trying to succeed in business became a sperm donor to make some quick cash. Now Miles wonders if he really does have any children in the world. With nearly limitless resources Mikes is able to determine he is a father to nine children. Miles makes a decision to find these children to let know them about the illness they may have inherited. Also Miles has decided to divide his fortune amongst these young adults.
Chloe Swanson knows that her mother used a sperm donor to conceive. Though the records are sealed Chloe is determined to find her biological father. Both with a common goal Chloe and Miles do meet up but determine the other offspring that Miles is looking for are disappearing. Combining forces Miles and Chloe set out to discover what is happening.
FIND YOU FIRST is a good thriller. It is well paced and the suspense is well maintained throughout the story. I find with many thrillers there has to be a certain amount of acceptance that some unlikely events could take place for the storyline to be resolved.
There are some moments like this in FIND YOU FIRST but by that time I was so invested in the characters and story I was willing to go along with it.
Great escape reading.
Thank you to Harper Collins Canada and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an early e-edition of FIND YOU FIRST.

Find you first was so good! I loved every page of it. Linwood has a way to make a reader want to stay up all night and finish the entire book in one sitting.

An edge of your seat never let up thriller. This one grabs from the first page and doesn’t stop till the last. Talk about fast paced thriller that layers on characters that you just want to get to know. It is multilayered and a perfect read for distraction.
Miles is a wealthy tech company owner who has never settled down and now has a diagnosis of Huntington’s disease. Due to the new diagnosis he wants to find any children that he may have been a sperm donor for when he was young. He decides to leave almost all of his money to his children that he has never met. His brother finds out and feels betrayed. Now as he is looking for them bad things start to happen to them and the doctor that provided his services. Who else would be looking for them? He meets one along the way that changes his life and how he looks at “what is happiness”.
Loved the portrayal of family, disease process and friendship.

Thank you Netgalley for a copy in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.

Find You First is a fascinating look at the power of DNA and the ethics of private clinics. When millionaire Miles Cookson was younger and struggling financially, he donated sperm to a high-end clinic. He never had children of his own, and when he is diagnosed with a fatal hereditary illness, he seeks to find his genetic offspring to let them know about his condition and his intention of sharing his wealth with them. With help along the way, he eventually meets his daughter Chloe, who has been searching for her own genetic family and they venture out together to meet up with her biological siblings who are on the list. Unfortunately, someone else seems to have the list too. Mysteriously, one-by-one, Mile's children are in danger. Every time, their entire lives are cleaned up as though they had never existed. Who is killing Mile's children and more importantly, why? With a cast of unlikely characters and incredible twists, this story will keep you wondering and questioning until the very end. Thank you to Netgalley, the Killer Crime Club, and Harper Collins Canada for the advanced copy.

This book has so many moving pieces and characters it's like a chess game and no one can anticipate the next player's move - because they don't know who all the players are. Well written, fast moving and GREAT book! Thanks Netgalley for making this book available!

Thanks to the Killer Crime Club (Harper Colliins) for the opportunity to read the ARC. Lindwood Barclay has done it again! I was on the edge of my seat throughout most of this story and was caught off guard more than once, always a sign of a great thriller! For me this was his best book in the last few years (not that I didn't enjoy the others). Definitely recommend it for those thriller lovers out there!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this title. This was a generically decent thriller with an interesting premise, but it didn't compel me to keep reading. And the characters felt a bit one dimensional. I still finished, but would not recommend.

This might be one of my favorite books that I have read so far this year! I really enjoyed the mystery aspect of trying to figure out how all of the people were related and what was happening to them.

Lots of twists and turns and kept me on edge from beginning to end heirs to tech millionaire are being eliminated one by one

This was a very good book. A millionaire, Miles Cookson, finds he has a debilitating disease that is passed through genes. He has nine children by sperm donation and he has never met any of them. He begins his search for the children to inform them about the disease and to spread his fortune.

Chloe Swanson is one of the children also seeking to find her biological parents. She finds she has a half brother and eventually Miles. It is a short lived celebration when they find one another and realize the others are being taken out. What is happening and who is behind it?

This is a great story that keeps the reader engaged throughout. I was given an ARC from Murrow. I will definitely keep this author on my radar. I would recommend to anyone looking fora puzzle to solve.

Tech millionaire Miles Cookson has more money than he can ever spend, and everything he could dream of—except time. He has recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness, and there is a fifty percent chance that it can be passed on to the next generation. For Miles, this means taking a long hard look at his past . . .

Two decades ago, a young, struggling Miles was a sperm donor. Somewhere out there, he has kids—nine of them. And they might be about to inherit both the good and the bad from him—maybe his fortune, or maybe something much worse.

I went into this book believing it was a suspense thriller. In the end it was, but peppered with a lot of family drama, moral dilemmas and getting to the truth. I really enjoyed this book and would highly suggest it as great read.

Thank you to Sam Glatt, Scene of the Crime Early Read, NetGalley and William Morrow Books for a free ecopy of Find You First.

I always enjoy books from Linwood Barclay and this was no exception. It pulled you in and kept you going till the end!!

A millionaire Miles Cookson has more money than anyone else and could never spend it all. But then he is diagnosed with a terminal illness, and there is a fifty percent chance that it can be passed on to the next generation. He remembers that when he was needing money he donated some sperm at a sperm bank and is wondering if any of his "children" will .get the disease he was just diagnosed with. So, he starts looking for them to let them know.

As he begins to search for the children, one of his children is also on a quest to search for her biological father. This brings them together and they start to search for the others. But as they are searching someone is mysteriously killing them one by one.. Hmmmmmm

Very good book with good writing and suspense
