A continuation of the story from book one, filled with a little more excitement, but still refuses to provide anymore explanation for the mystery surrounding the Pathfinder Society. Very lovely artwork, diverse characters, I just hoped for something more. I think this series would have actually benefitted from being one long story instead of broken into a trilogy. Also, the puzzles were not ones that middle schoolers could solve on their own, too much inner knowledge was needed, which does make it a bit disappointing when it's a book about solving clues and finding treasure.

I enjoyed the first entry in this series and the follow up does not disappoint. The mystery continues with booby traps and puzzles that have to be solved in an underground cave. This has a very Goonies vibe. I am definitely excited for the next one.

Adventure, danger, magic, and a fun group of kids... what more could you want in a graphic novel. This one checks all the boxes.
