Evie and her sister Suda Kaye grew up under the watchful eye of their Comanche grandfather. Their mother Catori was a wanderer and was not around much. Upon their mother's death, the sisters are each given a stack of letters from their mother to be opened on birthdays or important moments of their lives. This book started out good but went downhill fast. A few of the characters were not very likeable in my opinion. Thanks go to the author Audrey Carlan, publisher HARLEQUIN - Romance (U.S. & Canada), and NetGalley for providing a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Thought this was a good sequel following Evie. Liked it touched upon Evie's feelings about always being left behind and someone finally putting her first. Also enjoyed the plot twist at the end.
