Jocelyn leaves her demanding, high pressure job in New York and flies to her former hometown when she hears that her beloved grandmother has been hurt in a car accident and is the hospital. Gram looks so little and pale in the hospital bed. Once the painkillers wear off, Gram, aka Molly wants to leave the hospital ASAP to make sure the annual festival goes according to plan.
Harmony Ranch is a working ranch and also a historical museum that does tours. The annual festival there brings in lots of people and helps to raise money. Jocelyn promises her Gram she will do her best using her marketing skills to make the event perfect. She knows she can't do it alone. Mack, who is the grandson of Gram's best friend, and Molly's high school love will be helping her since he works on the ranch.
Neither has been in touch with the other for years and there are lots of hurt feelings right below the surface. Will the two of them be able to work together to rescue Harmony Ranch? Will Jocelyn put her job first or be able to have a future with Mack?
I love second chance romance stories. They give hope that you can leave the hurts of the past behind and find comfort and joy. The setting at a ranch in Colorado gives a beautiful western feel, even though is not a cowboy tale.
Jocelyn is a great heroine who struggles like many women and feel driven to succeed, even when there is a steep price to pay. She has stayed away from her Gram and Harmony Ranch because she was afraid of seeing Mack who broke her heart and seemed to have moved on.
Mack has stayed in the area for many years and enjoys working as a blacksmith for the ranch. He was hurt by abandonment as a child and is afraid to get to0 close with Jocelyn who he feels abandoned him by moving to New York. He is afraid she will abandon him again by going back to her job. The author shows him as a very strong man with his blacksmith skills and who doesn't love a big, strong man?
Mack's dog Savage provides lots of laugh out loud humor. You can just picture the basset hound through the author's vivid description. Another source of humor is Gram/Molly as she tries to do lots of things using her knee scooter to get around and the way she tries to matchmake. She has such a loving nature, too.
I was very excited to see this novel of Jennie Marts is from Hallmark Publishing. She is so talented and deserves to have an even wider audience. I don't know if there will be Hallmark Channel movie made from this lovely book, but I would certainly watch it.
In these uncertain times, romance readers should get a copy of this sweet story to uplift their spirits.

This is a beautiful clean story about second chances, matchmaking grannies, meddling dog and loads of fun filled activities which one sees at a local annual spring festival.
For me- Hallmark movies have always been my go to movies when I need to destress and forget about what’s going around. So when I came to know that this book is published by Hallmark publishing I had to read it!! It was just delightful to read it. I loved how they described the entire spring festival. It was absolutely endearing to see the locals all pitch in to help in times of need.
I can totally see this becoming a movie in near future !!

I felt the last part of the story really showed that Jocelyn had found home again and that all of the other pieces fell into place. She and Mack "shared their past and their present." I enjoyed how they had fallen for each other when they were very young but it took Jocelyn leaving for New York City for them both to realize what they missed and what was really important. I enjoyed all of Mack's romantic gestures too. He was a great character! I especially liked that Jocelyn could have love and her job. In the end she did not have to choose. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Rescuing Harmony Ranch by Jennie Marts is a delightful story of family and friendship and what happens when two meant to be people are reunited. Jocelyn Stone spent most of her childhood living at Harmony Ranch in Harmony Creek, Colorado. It is a living history ranch filled with artisans and volunteers. When her mother and grandmother had cross words, she was whipped away from her country home to the bustle of New York City. Finishing her senior year and then matriculating through college, Jocelyn now works for a big advertising company in NYC and soon her marketing degree and experience should land her a nice promotion.

Then she receives a phone call from her beloved grandmother asking for her help. Her grandmother, Molly Stone, has fallen and broken her leg and needs Jocelyn to come back to Harmony Ranch to help her in the initial days of her recuperation. Quickly packing and getting a few weeks leave from her boss, Andrea, Jocelyn maxes out her credit card to get to her grandmother’s side. Arriving jet lagged and tired, the last thing she expected was coming in contact with her childhood love, Mack Talbot.

Mack has taken over the role of caretaker and blacksmith at Harmony Ranch. They had drifted apart when Jocelyn moved, neither receiving letters from the other only to figure out now the obvious intervention of her mother in keeping them apart. However, that doesn’t change the fact that, soon after high school, he married a girl that stayed with him less than a year. Nor does it change the fact that Jocelyn has been married to her work with only the end goal of promotion.

The two of them learn together that Jocelyn’s grandmother needs much more than assistance while recovering, she needs the two of them to make the annual spring festival more successful than ever before. Soon after the festival, Molly has a balloon payment on the mortgage due for much more than the festival has ever earned. They are all in danger of loosing the Harmony Ranch and their livelihoods. This story will share how these two unite to save her grandmother’s ranch and may just save themselves in the process.

This is a well scripted plot with endearing characters in a lovely mountain setting. I very much enjoyed this story and I do recommend it!

A sweet second chance that will fill your heart!! Mack and Jocelyn ‘s story is so sweet and engaging you will not be able to put it down. What made this one of my favorites is the family theme that runs throughout the story. The Grams were so much fun. I got a kick out of Savage and his antics! It also was so heartwarming to see everyone including Mrs. Krandle (secretly) working so hard for a ranch that means so much to their community. This was a fun story perfect to read to escape the craziness going on in the world.

Hallmark movies (and now books!) are the highlight of my week. While reading, I immediately imagined who I would cast as Mack and Jocelyn. What a cute, loving book that was the perfect mix of romance and laughter.

The Boxed lunch social was so sweet and it reminded me of the Gilmore Girls episode where you bid on a picnic lunch. So cute! The ending at the concert made my heart swoon. I also giggled out loud when Chase sat next to Sophie in the epilogue - can we get a follow up to their story?!

I really enjoyed this book and the author!

Looking for a wonderful spring second chance romance to chase away the winter blues then Rescuing Harmony Ranch is the perfect read for you. Jennie Marts has written a story that would be a hit for a winter-is-over Hallmark movie. It has likable main characters who have a high school romance past, supporting characters who are older enough to know better but enjoy being a hoot anyway.

The heritage farm setting is uniquely wonderful with the spring festival adding interest. The bank expecting payment or the fear of losing the farm. It is something that sounds like it could have happened in yesterday times as well as today. Entertaining story, I enjoyed the couple, the older folks, the festival, the concert and all the neighborly surprises at the conclusion.

A sweet romance that brought a smile to my face each time Jocelyn's and Mack's witty banter took place which was a lot.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Jocelyn used to love spending time on Harmony Ranch, an historic property owned by her grandmother. She and Mack were young sweethearts there, but when Jocelyn's Mom decided she wanted a "better life" for her daughter and refused to let her spend time there anymore, the relationship ended, with both of them very hurt.

Years later, Jocelyn returns to Harmony Ranch after her grandmother is in an auto accident and needs help during her recovery. Jocelyn pitches right in on the finishing touches for the annual fund-raising festival, renamed Harmony Hoopla for this year, and attempts to raise the money her grandmother needs to save the ranch from foreclosure.

The festival goes off without a hitch, but there's not enough money raised to save the ranch. Jocelyn has an opportunity to raise the funds, but it means that the relationship that he re-developed with her and Mack could be destroyed....what will she do?

This is a sweet, clean romance by Hallmark, and could easily be made into a Hallmark movie. It is an easy read and a feel good story.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

Rescuing Harmony Ranch is a cute, small town romance set in Colorado. I loved the events and activities that Jocelyn and Mack brainstormed on for the festival and their teamwork shows how good they both are together. Their banter and teases made me smile and I liked how they somehow felt comfortable with each other no matter the years they spent apart. This book has a second chance trope and was a nice, light read during Valentine’s.

Some little things I wanted to point out is that the story is a bit cliche and predictable given that you have a successful woman whom is conflicted between continuing her life in the city or moving back to where she grew up. I also would have liked to see more appearances of a certain character who was vital in rescuing the ranch. I found the character’s part to be very minor in the story (until the turning point) and had to refresh my memory on who the character was.

I received an ARC from Netgalley and Hallmark Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

Beautifully captures life in the country where the world moves a bit slower and neighbors were like family. Jocelyn and Mack grew up together hanging out and working at Harmony Ranch, a living historical museum. Years have past after Jocelyn moved to NYC and she is sent back home to help her grandmother. Old wounds are opened when she works with Mack, but maybe those wounds can heal with maturity and young love. They are sweet and adorable with their competitions for everything, love for the ranch and subtle romantic gestures. This is one of the best second chance romance books I’ve read in a while, wonderful characters that can carry on a loving relationship without getting farther than hand holding and kisses. It’s a book for any age. I was thankful to receive an early copy through Netgalley and wrote my review voluntarily.

Cute and Clean Country Romance
This is a clean second chance romance that takes place in the Colorado mountains. Our heroine leaves NYC to come home to a Colorado living history ranch to help her injured grandmother. Her long-lost love works as a blacksmith at the ranch and the sparks are still flying. It is a wonderful and romantic story. While most savvy readers will know how it all ends, it is the journey that matters. This is a fun and fulfilling story about love and family. All of the characters learn important lessons about life and love while trying to save the ranch. This is a fine romance that hits all of the right notes; romance, country life, family, music, and dogs. I can definitely see this as a movie. This author always writes a story that you just do not want to put down. I received this ARC book for free from Net Galley and this is my honest review.

A new author for me and I enjoyed every minute of the story! I laughed at the dog's antics, cried at the difficult decisions this couple faced and cheered at the success of the fundraisers to save Garmin Ranch.

This second chance romance is worth a read. Jocelyn and Mark have been friends since they were 10 years old. Her mother moved her to NY from the living history ranch in Colorado where she lives with her grandparents, when she was 17. She wrote Mack as they promised each other, but never got a response. He met someone else and married on the rebound, divorcing within 1 year. Jocelyn called her grandmother often but told her to never mention Mack.

Jump ahead 10years, and when grandma is injured in a car accident, Jocelyn doesn't hesitate to return home. Now the old feelings surface as Mack and Jocelyn work closely together to save Harmony Ranch. A great second chance romance you'll want to read.

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

A charming and delightful second chance romance. The grandmothers are all a hoot. The dogs are adorable. I laughed. I cried. It is a quick and entertaining tale. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. I can certainly see it as a Hallmark movie.

I wanted a light, feel good, escape, and I got it. The second chance trope pulled me in, but the words, characters, and story kept me reading. I love it when an author’s words play out as a movie in my mind; the living museum came to life.
In a story of second chances, the ranch, and relationship, Joss and Mack are brought back together after ten years apart. She moved away but returned to Harmony Creek after her grandmother is injured. She hopes she can avoid Mack, but we all know that will never happen! Molly, Joss’s grandmother and a little schemer, enlists Mack and Joss to pull off the Harmony Creek Festival and save the ranch. Will Mack and Joss give in to the chemistry and rekindle their relationship? Will Joss head back to New York, where a promotion awaits?

I laughed, had tears, and cheered. I look forward to reading more from this author.

The story line is predictable and follows the “second chance at love” plot line. That might sound like a bad thing, but to me, it is wonderful! In times that the world is facing now, and for the past year, with the Covid virus pandemic, I want to read a predictable, happy, emotional, lovely story! I also want to watch Hallmark movies where the world may not be perfect, but by the end of the movie, things are settled, love is found and characters do go on to live a better life.

I was so involved in the story from the beginning. I loved all the characters. The author did an amazing job of bringing the ranch and living museum to life through her words. I felt like I was actually there experiencing the story at times, especially near the end, when I knew what would happen, but still there I was crying while I was reading, since the author touched my heart with a special scene in the book. My reaction was actually a surprise to me, since that does not happen often to me.

I recommend this book for a joyful escape from real life at a time that I think everyone can use an escape. This book would be a fantastic Hallmark movie! I hope that it is considered and approved for a Valentine release!

I want to thank NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for giving me the pleasure of reading the advance reader copy, with no obligation to write a review. My review is written freely as a hobby, and is totally my own opinion, not influenced by receiving the ARC.

Second chances all around🤩

Jocelyn races back to Harmony Creek when she gets a phone call about her grandmother who has been in an accident😢 She’s hoping she can totally avoid Mack, the man who broke her heart but when she arrives, she realises that that wish is futile❣️

Mack can’t believe that Joss is back on the Ranch😳 When it appears they are going to be working together to help save the Ranch by ensuring the Harmony Creek Festival goes off with a bang, both are worried about how they will feel with each other and both try to avoid what happened in the past, to no avail.

A really good story, which had me laughing out loud a few times but also teary at moments too🙃 Second chances all around and a few surprises I didn’t see coming😍 I definitely hope there is more in this series of Harmony Creek. I received an advanced copy via Netgalley and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️
