Ok if honest I hadn't seen the previous book in this series so went in a bit blind but the synopsis certainly caught my interest. As I type our world is in turmoil due to a pandemic so reading a book about a world gone to pot after a deadly flu outbreak in theory should be a no no but actually I loved the characters so much that I found this a page turning read.
Kenzie is fleeing Portland, a city that's been ravaged with Ripper a very deadly warrior who will do anything to protect her. Accompanied by her ex boyfriend, a doctor and Rippers dog they find themselves out of the frying pan and well and truly into the fire constantly. Trying to find a safe place in this devastated new world puts them all in danger and I was gripped as everything played out.
I suppose this is technically dystopian but it didn't feel futuristic. It clearly is a romance but I found it to be more an adventure story as these characters keep getting involved with various truly heinous villains. I did find the characters to be very interesting and there are several who could very easily have their own book. I really enjoyed this and will certainly look out for more from this author.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

Buckle in and get ready for an adventure packed, danger filled, passionate ride! The action starts on page one, where the story picks up right where Pandemonium left off, and doesn't quit until the very end. Kenzie, Ripper, and their growing group of friends, step out into a changed world fraught with perils more lethal than the virus that are just waiting to tear them apart. The author really ups the ante with book two. I'm crushing so hard on the World Fallen series! Bring on Bedlam!
