This is book 3. I read it as a stand-alone and you can too. The first 2 books characters are in this book and their stories, I’m sure, are referred to in this one but not necessary to read in order to enjoy this one. Written to follow both main characters, at times to see what happens during the same time frame. Fast paced at time and well developed. This is definitely not one of those quick reads that leave you wanting more. This one is one you won’t want to miss. I can’t wait to read her next book.

I was crazy to expect thrilling novels after the year of 2020?!

I liked "Hours to Kill" but that was alll... I didn't love it or even really enjoy it. I found an informative suspense that didn't click with me.

If you enjoy suspense that leans toward telling about new things used by law enforcement this may be something you enjoy, I just didn't love it.
