Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.

The characters were well-developed, and I found myself invested in their lives. The plot was well thought out and had enough twists and turns to keep me on the edge of my seat. I appreciated the attention to detail, and the author did a great job of creating a vivid world that was easy to picture in my mind.
The themes explored in the book were thought-provoking and gave me a lot to consider. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good story with well-developed characters.
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with this book and would definitely read it again. It was a great addition to my reading collection, and I can't wait to see what else this author has in store.

The mansion sounds old and spooky. Would love to be able to wander around. Family ties can be messy and this story sure has some messy ones. The island is isolated with limited number of people. But it would be a good place to wander too. So I love the setting of this mystery. Why would 2 guests of the mansion die on the same time the place is hosting their first wedding? Ben is there as a wedding guest and finds herself nosing around. She is a nosy one for sure. The mystery is a good one, great setting, interesting characters. I liked it.

Murder at Greysbridge is a family drama/mystery set on a beautifully described Irish coast. The area is so well portrayed that I felt like I could see it! The story has quite a few twists and major turns and caught my attention from the beginning and I really enjoyed reading it!
I thank the author, her publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC.

This is the 4th of the Inishowen Mysteries, but only the second I read. The mystery was fine with plenty of family drama leading to numerous suspects. But the real star of the series is the Donegal setting. The moody Irish coast lends a noir air to a mystery, which blends historical events with modern issues of smuggling. While I have no need to go back and read the first two in the series, I am now engaged with the characters and look forward to reading the next series entry.

What a delightfully compelling mystery this was! Although this us the fourth book in the series, this was the first one I have read and I immediately want to go back and read the others. I grew up near the area where the book is set and know many of the locations mentioned. It really was the perfect setting for a traditional mystery, with a creepy hotel which may or may not be haunted and a small island where people keep to themselves but may well be hiding something.

Ben (Benedicta) is a solicitor in a small coastal village who goes to a wedding in a hotel which has just been restored and recently opened. When people start to die at the wedding, Ben can’t help getting involved and tries to solve this whodunit. Atmospheric and cozy as it was, I found myself wanting to head straight for the wilds of Donegal and help her.

Thanks to Oceanview publishing and Netgalley for an ARC in return for an honest review.

This is the fourth book in the Inishowen mystery series and by now I have come to know and love all the characters. I love Ben’s cat, Guinness, and was a tad disappointed that he didn’t play a larger part in this book. Though, to be fair, you would hardly take your cat to a wedding. LOL.

This installment in the series had a great mystery at its core. Long-standing family skeletons are unearthed along with the overriding theme of avarice. Ben O’Keeffe plays a pivotal role in solving the case mostly due to her overwhelming nosiness.

Greysbridge, the hotel, was an old house with a rather sordid history and was a great setting with loads of ambiance.

The ending of the book was great, making this probably my favourite book in the Inishowen series so far. Now I’m more eager than ever to read the next book in the series and already have the fifth book loaded on my Kindle.

The author is a solicitor herself, so that part of the narrative is knowledgeable and convincing. Not gritty by any means, yet somehow more serious than a ‘cozy’, this is a series that I can heartily recommend.

Some books stay with you even after weeks and months after you have finished reading. This book falls in this category as it is hard to forget.
The story grips you from the first page and it is well written even with few twists and keeps you wanting more. I enjoyed the story setting and it made me want to travel to a nice castle.

I can’t wait the other books written by the author.

Murder at Greysbridge is the fourth in a mystery series, which is being adapted for television .and is set in Donegal, Ireland.

Its lead is solicitor Benedicta 'Ben' O'Keeffe. As this episode opens in the summertime, Ben's assistant Leah is about to be married at the lovely (recently restored) Greysbridge Hotel, reputed to be haunted.

All starts off well at the hotel until a young American drowns, the wedding guests looking on - was it really an accident? A second death follows and Ben's ex, Sergeant Tom Molloy, shows up to investigate, the wedding guests all suspects.

The modern mystery intertwines with the hotel's dark history which is gradually revealed. Ben is an appealing lead and Murder at Greysbridge an intricate, engaging mystery.

Murder at Greysbridge - Andrea Carter

I didn’t even realise this was the fourth book in the series. It could be read as a stand alone I guess, I haven’t read previous books and I don’t plan on rushing out to buy any that follow, that being said the story wasn’t bad and I read till the end.

Another instalment in the Inishowen mysteries. Traditional Country House murder mystery but none the worse for that. Well constructed and well written in a pleasingly straightforward style and very enjoyable.

We meet solicitor Benedicta “Ben” O'Keeffe in in County Donegal, as she heads off to the eponymous Greysbridge for the wedding of her colleague Leah. As Ben and her friends settle in for the first event hosted by the new owners of the hotel, they begin to learn the history of the house, which is reputedly haunted by the ghost of Lady Louisa Grey, daughter of the strange Lord Linus Grey.

Shortly after arriving, she meets the only two guests at the hotel who are not part of either the wedding party or the staff – two men who quickly end up dead within hours of each other. What follows is a quest for the truth behind the men’s deaths, as well as the history of Greysbridge itself.

I enjoyed this story, but found it a little muddled –it was part ghost story, part murder mystery, part romance, part family drama. However, it was diverting, and I likely would have enjoyed it more had I read the earlier instalments in the series.

My thanks to the author, NetGalley, and the publisher for the arc to review.

The setting in Inishowen, Ireland, caught my interest and although this is the fourth book in the series, it is the first I've read.

Solicitor Benedicta (Ben)O'Keefe's legal assistant is getting married at the historic and recently renovated Greysbridge Hotel. Of course, things do not go well and two of the hotel's guests end up dead. The hotel has the reputation of being haunted, there is a nice mix of characters, and an intriguing atmosphere.

Fun. I'll read more. 3.5 stars

Well written nicely paced story. A good by the fireside read and enjoyed it over the holidays. My genre is noir but thought this made a nice score.

thoroughly enjoyable - and now I've met Benedicta (called Ben) I will want to read earlier ones in series where she features - things go disastrously wrong when a wedding party at a traditional manor house goes all wrong - a few deaths and interactions with local outsiders spins the crimes - yes, murder. ingenious plotting and engaging characters - I'm really pleased I finally got onto this series ... highly recommend

In my experience in North America, small communities have no secrets. If you believe that the people of Greysbridge are no different, then this book does not hang together. I also had something of a problem figuring out where the hidden room is actually located. It seems to be on the ground floor. How could it remain hidden (and silent) on the ground floor, even if it has no windows? I want a drawing.

Benedicta (Ben) O'Keeffe, an Inishowen solicitor is at Greysbridge, an Irish estate turned in to a hotel and event venue, to attend the wedding of her assistant Leah. Ben had also arranged for the purchase of Greysbridge by the current owners who are struggling to make a go of it after the extensive renovations. Prior to the wedding, a young guest at the hotel drowns in front of members of the wedding party while later in the evening another guest is found dead in his room. Ben’s former love interest, Sergeant Tom Molloy, returns from London to take the lead in the case.

This was the first book I have read in this series and I really enjoyed it. The characters were well written and it was beautifully atmospheric in places. I am going to go back and read the earlier books whilst I wait for the next instalment to be released.
