Rebekah’s Dress by author Sara Harris is the Book 2 in the author’s Rebekah’s Keepsake Series. Even though it is Book 2, it could easily be read as a standalone. I enjoyed the storyline and characters. They were unique. I was immediately invested in the characters and story. They grabbed my attention and I found myself flipping pages to see what would happen next.
This is the story of Rebecca and Joseph, an engaged couple about to be married. Rebecca has a lot of work to do before the wedding. Due to unforeseen circumstances questions arise as to if the wedding will happen.
This is a sweet story with real life scenarios and timeless life lessons. I highly recommend it. I received a copy from Net Galley but these are my own words. It gets a 4 star rating from me.

There were many things I enjoyed about this book. I liked the author’s writing style and the characters she created. I thought the main theme of the story—Rebekah’s struggles in sewing her wedding dress and her upcoming wedding to Joseph—was well done.

However: The encounters with not just one, but two, famous historical characters seemed over the top to me and did not fit into the Amish genre. I would have rather read a story completely focused on the main Amish characters themselves. But I did very much appreciate the focus on how God works in our lives for good through both people and circumstances. So even though this particular story wasn’t my favorite, I will be looking reading another book by this author. She writes in a heart-warming style, and I’d like to see what she does with her next book.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I received this book from Victory editing netgalley coop. This book was about 4 Amish individuals and their connections with others. I loved being able to see NYC in the 1800s through the eyes of these 4 young Amish individuals. The experiences they have help shape them and the people that they are. I loved Rebekah’s dress and the materials she obtained from the different people that she met along the way. This book is different from the Amish books I usually read but I enjoyed it and wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who likes to read books related to the Amish.

Rebecca’s Dress is the second book in this series, and the first that I have read. It is a really different story from most of the Amish books that I have read, but sure will keep your attention.
Rebecca and Joseph are about to marry, and Rebecca still needs to make hers and her attendants dresses.
Circumstances enter, medical emergencies, missing friends, and adventures no one would have expected, also the meeting of famous individuals!
Will all return, will there be a wedding, these and other questions are answered, and we are along for the journey. With kind hearts and surprises, and worry in the back of their minds, and gifts from those along the way, we get to experience the results of love given to them.
I received this book through Net Galley and an ARC provided by Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op
