This was a very easy and quick read and very entertaining. Although I must say, after reading several of these domestic thrillers, that I find it fascinating that everyone loves to imagine that there's such a seamy underbelly to suburbia! Thompson has written an exceptionally dishy enjoyable read full of secrets, lies, and red herrings set in the cul de sacs of modern America. I really enjoyed the cat-and-mouse game played between The Villain and Allie - despite a parade of horribles that befall her, the book never felt over-the-top or overdone. It worked, even as the mind games and frauds piled up into towering mountains of destruction, and I think that's due to Thompson's engaging storytelling style. I'd definitely pick her novels up again.

This is a chilling and creepy psychological thriller debut from Aggie Blum Thomson that focuses on the life and personal history of photographer, Allie Ross, married to lawyer, Mark and mother to a young son, Cole. The family have moved to an upmarket suburb of Washington DC, but Allie is struggling to settle in. In her efforts to be accepted and make friends, she and Mark attend a neighbourhood party to ingratiate themselves within the community. At the party, Allie flirts with a local man, a dad, called Robert, having a conversation that oddly resonates with her past, and the strange mention of a nickname of hers from childhood, the encounter ends in a disturbing manner

When Rob turns up dead, after having been poisoned, Allie finds herself under an unrelentingly glaring spotlight when she becomes a suspect in the murder investigation by the police. She is confronted by an apparent Tinder account and texts that relate her relationship with the murder victim, all of which is not true. Who could possibly want to frame her? As the local rumour and gossip mill goes into overdrive, Allie finds herself the target of cyberbullying, her accounts are being hacked and someone is impersonating her online. The flawed and unreliable Allie finds her life and reputation, personal and professional, begin to unravel in spectacular fashion. This fuels her growing paranoia, suspicious of everyone around her, including her not so perfect husband, Mark.

In a story where Allie's past comes back to haunt her, there are plenty of twists and turns that make this such an intense and gripping read. Many thanks to Macmillan-Tor/Forge for an ARC.

I'm going to make a bold prediction and say right now I Don't Forgive You will be one of the hottest psychological thrillers this year. It was a creepy and disturbing story that held my interest from start to finish. I had a good time coming up with different theories as to what was going on and yet I still wasn't able to piece everything together ahead of time with 100% accuracy. This author hit a home run with her debut novel.

Allie Ross has just moved to an upscale DC suburb with her husband and son. She's met a few people in the neighborhood but in general feels like a fish out of water. She also has a past she has gone to great lengths to leave behind. Allie is caught completely off-guard when a man at a party calls her by a nickname she briefly went by in high school. The next day, that man is dead. What happened to him?

For various reasons, you just can't be too sure what is going on especially if you are a frequent reader of mysteries and thrillers. It's like you are hyper-aware of everything the author could throw at you which means you have many possible scenarios floating through your head while reading this book. Combine that with the tension you feel as you place yourself in Allie's shoes and well, it makes for an incredible reading experience.

If you are looking for a good story to get caught up in and distract you from real life, this book is an excellent pick. There are some disturbing aspects of the plot but no more so than any other book in this genre.

Wow, wow, wow! This is one heck of a roller coaster ride of thrilling thrills, twisty turns, chilling chills, and gasp worthy shocks! Such an innocent thing turning into much more, makes it realistic, original, fast paced, unputdownable fun to read! Character development was flawless, making me need to know exactly what and when it would happen! The type of book that you can’t wait to finish, but also dread finishing, as you know it’ll roll around your brain and give you a hangover that’s hard to recover from! Highly, highly recommend this mind-blowingly good thrill!

I DON’T FORGIVE YOU is about a woman named Allie Ross who is a mother to a young boy, a photographer and a newbie to an upscale, tight-knit community. Allie hopes to make a good impression on her new neighbors and then she’s framed for murder.

Soon, her life starts to spiral out-of-control when the police are certain she murdered this man she didn’t even know because of Tinder and Facebook profiles created in her name, with her photos, that are incriminating her. She finds every aspect of her life crumbling due to the accusations and knows if she doesn’t get to the bottom of who the REAL criminal is, she may lose her son and husband and everything she’s built.

OKAY. I loved this book! I was thoroughly engaged in it the entire time. It’s one of those super frustrating books (in the best of ways) where the protagonist is sooo far down shit’s creek you wonder how they will ever make it back (alive). I was rooting so hard for Allie. She was such a victim that had nowhere to turn and looked so damn guilty.

This book reminded me a lot of SUCH A QUIET PLACE by Megan Miranda that I just read a week ago. I kind of wished I didn’t read them both so close together, I think I would’ve enjoyed it even more if I had some space between them, so I do recommend that this summer when you read these two. I’m also reading LITTLE SECRETS by Jennifer Hillier right now on audiobook and again, it’s very domestic and similar. I think I will take a break after these domestic, tight-knit community suspenses and cleanse my palate, but I still rate them a solid 5/5. I’ve been enjoying them a lot.

I highly recommend I DON’T FORGIVE YOU if you’re looking for a domestic suspense that will have you cursing at the book for justice for the protagonist.

Like many other reviewers have noted, I Don't Forgive You is very gripping. The pacing is great, with a constant stream of suspense. As the tension built, I found myself feeling stressed on Allie's behalf. The ending didn't quite tie up the loose ends as neatly as some other thrillers do, but there were some decent twists.

One thing did really disappoint me. Without revealing any spoilers, there were some very heavy topics in the book that were handled a bit casually. Had this been more acknowledged as wrong, it might not have stuck out so much to me. Instead, it felt a little brushed under the rug.

I Don’t Forgive You is a gripping debut that grabs you from the first chapter. As the story goes on, I was sucked more and more into the story of Alexis as she deals with her past coming back to haunt her. An unknown attacker begins destroying every aspect of her life, all from the anonymity of a computer screen. It was chilling and scary to think about how easy this type of situation could be, and you find yourself wondering what you would do in that situation. Aggie Blum Thompson masterfully adds in twists as well as a long list of potential suspects, and I could not put the book down until I got to the ending! This was a superb debut, and I can’t wait to read what Thompson writes next!

Gripping, entertaining, heart-pounding and unputdownable. Those are just a few of the words I’d use to describe this incredible debut novel.

From the opening scene, this fast-paced thriller pulls readers deep into the suburban world of photographer Allie Ross. Allie knows she doesn’t fit the mold of the rest of her new upper class neighbors but is willing to adapt for the sake of her husband and son. Unfortunately, someone from Allie’s past is determined to turn her new life upside down and take away everything, and everyone, that she loves.

There were many times I thought I had this book figured out, just to have the story go in a completely different direction. I love a book that keeps me guessing to the very end and I DON’T FORGIVE YOU did just that.

This book has it all. Suburban drama, relatable characters, crisp writing and shocking twists. It’s hard to believe this is Thompson’s debut novel and I can’t wait to read whatever she writes next.

This is a gripping thriller that explores the horrible mistakes that occurred due to lapse in judgment by a teenager who craved attention, desperately looking for someone to come out of loneliness and how the repercussions come to haunt her after many years making her life implode.

It hooked from the first page and I enjoyed the thrilling ride and finished in one sitting. Add it to your TBR and clear your day before picking it up.

Present day, Allie moves to DC suburbs with her husband Mark, lawyer and her little son Cole. At a social party, again a teeny tiny lapse in judgement throws her life into a tailspin and wakes up the sleeping ghosts of her past life which she has tried to run from and wants to keep hidden from her family.

Allie must be made of steel as I was petrified to even imagine in her shoes even for a nano second. I was astonished what she has been put through as everything she touches turns into dust, her life is a chaos, waiting to be imploded, her dignity stripped off in a way that she was partly responsible for it, social stigma, humiliated in every possible way, character assassinated by everyone, be on the precipice of losing everything she holds dear to her.

I sympathized with her but hated her for her lying, evasiveness. One misstep ruined many lives, everyone left around pickup pieces and paid for their wrongdoings. I was left speechless by the actions of some people on how they took advantage of a horrendous situation. By the end everyone involved has paid the price for their wrongdoings done intentionally or not.

It was unbelievable this brilliant work was from a debut author. Thompson had cleverly plotted this thriller where I suspected many characters and I thought I figured out who was the perpetrator, she changed direction of the story or threw something that tossed my suspicions away. I was stupefied by the reveals as the evil-doer wasn’t on my radar at all.

Everything wrapped up neatly but my niggle was how Allie missed seeing this since it has been revealed that she was obsessed with everything related to… and couldn't reveal more for the fear of spoiling.

Overall, it was a riveting, suspenseful, entertaining, unputdownable thriller and highly recommend it.

Allie Ross and her family are living a happy life in the suburbs when someone suddenly becomes hellbent on ruining her life. When a local dad falsely accuses Allie of chatting with him on a dating site, many other things start to go wrong.

There were so many twists and turns in this book! The lengths that Allie's tormenter went to to ruin her reputation seemed never ending. I could really feel her frustration because no one really believed her, not even those closest to her. It was infuriating.

Add this book to the pile of thrillers where I can't guess the ending!

This novel is really - I cannot find the proper word. Actually, it was a mixture of things. It is a good thriller without a doubt. Also it made me angry, sympathetic, want to cry, laugh sometimes,....
Simply, it deserves a try.

The epitome of unputdownable, this book grabbed me from the first page and the only time I put it down was to do some deep meditative breathing so I could lower my blood pressure! I felt like I was in the room, dealing with the anxiety and stress that Allie was dealing with. Being in her head and involved in all of her thought process, it was exhausting and exhilarating and absolutely what I love from this genre.

I highly recommend this book to lovers of domestic drama and books that keep you guessing and not breathing till the last page is turned. What a ride!

OMG! OMG! OMG!

This book right here contained all of my favorite elements : neighborhood drama, upper class housewives, prep school issues, unreliable narrator (?), family drama, and a secret past. The author blends this to a perfect finish and leaves you cranking through the pages to find out what happens next.

Allie Ross just moved with her husband and 5 year old son to the suburbs of DC. Her photography career is taking off and she's making friends in their tight knit neighborhood. While at a neighborhood party, Allie and a gentleman partake in some harmless flirting, the next morning he's found dead and Allie is being framed for his murder.....WHAT?!?! I won't spoil any of the other fun, but I was sucked in a feeling Allie's dread. Everytime she turns around, something worse is happening. Buckle up folks and enjoy the ride!

I loved this highly entertaining thriller! I Don't Forgive You is a fast paced, compulsive read that had me turning the pages from first to last until its satisfying conclusion. I read this book in one day, which I almost never do, skipping other activities to finish Allie's story. The protagonist's life falls apart one calculated hour at a time by a relentless enemy or enemies, and I immediately empathized with her plight. I couldn't wait until the mystery was solved so the poor woman could find some relief!

I don't intend to retell the story since the publisher provides a detailed summary. I will say there are many viable suspects to choose from and each adds their own twist of the metaphorical knife into Allie's back. The assault on her life is so intense that I would have liked to see her have a bit more revenge. Since the theme of the book is forgiveness, I understand the character's choice.

I Don't Forgive You is the best thriller I've read so far this year. Congratulations to Aggie Blum Thompson. You've got a big winner with this book!

Allie will soon learn that she can't trust everyone in the neighborhood, someone that's closest to her is framing her for murder. And she has little time and resources to find out who it is.
This book was so good! It was fast paced, a real page turner and to be honest it left me wanting more. That ending was shocking to me. I loved every minute of it!

I liked this book, and it was quite suspenseful. I would have thought there'd be more investigation into the social media fraud, but I assume it is accurately portrayed.

LA TRAMA: interesante. Comienza con una fiesta en la que la prota, Alexia Haley es acosada por un vecino. Hasta ahí, todo "normal" (lo poco normal que deberían ser estas situaciones). La cosa empieza a complicarse cuando Alexia descubre un complot contra ella en redes sociales. Para postres, el vecino aparece envenenado.
PERSONAJES: muchos personajes, quizás demasiados para mi gusto. Especialmente relevante es el papel de las vecinas de la protagonista, que son varias y de perfiles muy similares. Tanto, que al final no sabes quién es quién.
LO MEJOR: es muy entretenida y la historia está bien contada.
LO PEOR: como he dicho antes, no se definen bien los caracteres de algunos personajes, por lo que cuesta identificarlos.
En resumen, entretenido sin más pretensiones.

This is a great first novel. An intense thriller I finished in a couple of days. Characters and story were well developed and laid out. I look forward to reading more from this writer.

I am a huge thriller fan and this was no exception. As the author's debut novel, I feel she did a good job.

The main character Allie was not always likable and I am not sure if that was intentional but it was hard to be on her side at times.

There were several twists that I enjoyed as I read the book.

Overall this was a good domestic thriller that I would recommend.

I DON’T FORGIVE YOU is Aggie Blum Thompson's thriller debut, and, may I just say, it’s a great one! The novel is tense, gripping and nerve-wracking—everything you want out of a good thriller.

The novel was well-written and gripping, leaving me fully invested in who had such a vendetta out against Allie. Thompson kept me guessing until the end, and I was still shocked at how it turned out! I didn't love any of the characters, and wish Allie had maybe been a little more likable/sympathetic because, with her alcoholism, I thought there was a possibility she had DID and was doing this to herself in some way, which I don't think was Thompson's intention.

As a whole, Thompson is an accomplished writer and obviously thought through the entire story, the result being a gripping thriller that certainly kept ahold of my interest.
