A former model turned pastry chef moves to a small town to escape the limelight and live a normal life, where she meets the son of the owner of the business she works and who is a local farmer who becomes a love interest .

An ok read if a little predictably and the banter at times doesn’t easily glow. 3.5/5

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. I was able to find the audiobook through my local library. A cute novel and a cute story. I love the cover. The characters were cute and a perfect fast weekend read. I would read from this author again.

I read one other Dineen book and enjoyed it, so gave this one a try. It’s not quite as engaging as the other; the banter seems a little forced, but it’s still worth reading if one wants something fluff-filled. I liked it enough that I will give a third book a try.

The first thing that made me interested in this book is the series name Seven Brides for Seven Mothers which I am assuming is a play on the movie Seven Brides for Seven Brothers which I love to watch. This is the second book in the series and I didn't read the first and I feel that you should read the books in order because the books build of each other. But I am going to go back to the first book before I read anymore in the series.

This book has a trope of hate to love and also another trope that I feel will be a spoiler if I say in this review but I do love both of the tropes and feel they go great together. I really liked that you have 4 prospectus of view which is the 2 main characters and their mothers and I was not bored with any of the character views.

The book is about Tara who is a pastry chef but was a former model. She moves to a small town to get away from the spotlight and live a normal life. The love interest is James a farmer that is the son of the owner of the inn Tara works at. I really enjoyed how they got together and I think that my favorite character was the puppy Penny that James found.

I am looking forward to more books in this series and I can't wait until they come out.

Another favorite by a great author. The plot of the story was very well written. The author really draws the reader in as you read. I felt like I was part of the story.

I adored this cute little romance, it was a quick, sweet read. As a former model, I loved the node to the modeling industry and the unrealistic standards placed upon most models. The story made me smile and I can't wait to read the rest of this series... Starting with book one since I didn't realize I was reading the second one until the end.

Just goes to show, you don't need to read this series in order to adore it!

I haven't read the first book in the series, but this one was so enjoyable and easy to read that count me in for the future instalments!

The book was entertaining and had a good pace. While I don't subscribe to 'Mother knows best!' in the matters of heart, the plot was fun. It provided a welcome romantic escape from the problems of our daily life into a fictional world of interfering (with good intentions, of course) mothers and celebrities with unusual names.

Ain’t She Sweet is another super cute matchmaker story by Whitney Dineen! I was super happy with the first book and the second is just as great!

This fun story follows the former supermodel and new-to-town pastry chef Tara Heinz and local farmer James Cavanaugh. From the first introduction in the first book, Tara and James got off on the wrong foot and it takes a mother’s meddling and intuition to uncover the fact that they are actually perfect for each other. They complete each other in the best ways possible and it takes a short lived fake relationship to give them the courage to act on their feelings.

I thought this book was super fun! There’s a great sense of family, friendship and community. Everyone seemed to really want to protect Tara and were super understanding of her situation. She seemed to really blend well with everyone and I’m dying to try the pastries that were mentioned in the book. James seemed like a really genuine character. Good hearted, hard working, and was a little down on his luck. I think meeting each other was perfect and made for a great story! It was not a steamy romance by any means but it was lighthearted and wholesome and I’d definitely recommend!

This is the second in this series and continues with the same characters who are no match for the machinations of Ruby. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and anticipate reading more from this author. I received an e-book from NetGalley in return for an unbiased review.

Ain't She Sweet follows the story of Tara Heinz a model turned pastry chef and James Cavanaugh who owns a farm. After Tara goes through a rough breakup with her rock star ex she decides to move to quaint Oregan so she is not as easily recognized. James on the other hand is attempting to build a business with his farm all whilst attempting to dodge his meddling mother Ruby. Let me just say, I am loving this series, This was the first book I had read out of the series, and just had to go back and read the first one. I love this aspect of the meddling mother's trying to set up their kids and Ruby Cavanaugh was no different. Oh, not to mention the whole aspect of James having had Tara's poster in his room as a kid and then going on to fall in love. This was such a cute story in this series, but it also touched on some heavier topics like loss and loneliness with Ruby's character and the negative aspects of the modeling world. Overall, it was a cute romantic comedy that was mostly light and had me engaged throughout.

So I feel like I would have enjoyed this book more if I had read the first one before this. It isn't imperative, but i feel like I missed a lot of character development. Overall it was an ok book, things felt a little forced and the climax of the book was kind of just meh. I HATED that the moms parts were written in third person when the main characters parts were first person.

Ain't She Sweet is the second book in the Seven Brides for Seven Mothers series by Whitney Dineen. I have not read the first book yet, but it didn't matter because this book definitely works as a standalone book!

This was a sweet romance with great characters and a wonderful storyline. I loved how there was suspense built in story to keep you wondering how things will turn out.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking to brighten their day. It is a quick read and oh so good!

I didn't not realize this was the second book in a series when I started reading it, that being said I don't feel like I missed anything major from the first book. This was it's own story and I don't feel like I need to go back and read book 1 before this.

I rate this 3/5 stars. I found it read more like a YA novel than an adult romance. The story was cute and sweet and happy endings were started. The romance was exactly as the title says sweet, definitely no spiciness in this romance.

I felt the book was much longer than it could have been and the last chapter did not feel like an ending or even a good transition into the next book in the series. The switching back and forth of written perspective was a bit confusing at times but not unbearable.

Overall it was an easy, pleasant read that I enjoyed

This is the second book in Dineen’s Seven Brides for Seven Mothers series. I love the film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, as well as an enemies to lovers romance, so decided to give this book a go. I couldn’t see much correlation between the book and the film (not to say that there is one, or needs to be) but perhaps that will come out in the rest of the series. Or maybe not!

I hadn’t read the first in the series, and while this book does have a self-contained romance about a different couple than in the first story, I feel I was seriously missing out from not having met these characters previously.

While a lot of that was to do with the setting and the relationships at Willamette Valley Lodge, I’m also assuming that a lot of Tara and James’ animosity and dislike of each other started - and was most antagonistic - during the first book. As such, when we first meet our couple in this book, they’re not too fond of each other but they seem to get along just fine. Slightly disappointing.

The story is written primarily in first person present tense with both James and Tara’s point of view. However, every so often we get a mini-chapter written in third person, present tense with the focus being either Gwen or Ruby - our couple’s mothers. I found this really disjointed and I’m not sure I cared about what either mother was up to. I’m here for the romance.

I liked both our main characters although I didn’t really feel much beyond like with them. There was a lot going on regarding the lodge, James’s house, Tara’s ex etc etc. It told me a lot but nothing that made me feel all that close to our pair.

The heat level of the book was, as the title would suggest, sweet.

As I was reading, I finished one chapter and was ready to turn to the next only to realise that I’d reached the end of the book. I’m not sure that’s ever happened to me before. It’s still something of a happy ending (our couple end with a kiss) but was it satisfying to me? Absolutely not.

This book has a really high rating by other reviewers but it just wasn’t the right match for me. Perhaps if I’d read the first book I might have felt differently, but this just wasn’t my thing and I can only give the book 3 stars.

I felt this story was promising but fell flat. This plot has been done a thousand times and unfortunately this book didn’t bring anything new to it. I was very disappointed

This is the second book in the series and it continues the theme of a widower who plays matchmaker for kids. The pro and cons are there's humor and the dialogue is really good. The cons are the beginning of each chapter feels as though someone else wrote it. The writing doesn't flow but then as you get into the chapter it flows. Overall I give it a 2.75 because of this. I will continue to read the series since I enjoy the characters. She's a former model turned pastry chef and he's a farmer. They don't get along and it takes it into some humorous situations.

I don't feel like this novel needed 52 chapters. It's a simple enemies-to-lovers celebrities story. I'm all about the drama and all around trouble in a story. However this had to many. The press, the ex and and the mean girl antics would have been enough alone but all that together with a fake relationship from enemies to friends to lover.
Also the moms Interfering.. I had a hard time keeping up with all the angles and people in this looonng romance.
