Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. All opinions expressed here are my own.

I thought the format of this book was fun; it followed the characters over the course of 10 years on every Feb 4. It felt a bit like a rom-com version of Ground Hog's Day. While I enjoyed the female friendship, their disagreement / estrangement seemed unrealistic for life-long friends who are close to 40 years old. The inclusion of greeting cards was fun. While at times the story was predictable, there were some twists I didn't see coming. While this book did have some ups and downs, overall I enjoyed it. 3.5 stars.

I have never read anything by this author before and was completely drawn to it by the bright, cheerful color.
I really liked the format, it was unique and I enjoyed that each chapter was a whole year out, every Feb 4th. I had no idea what to expect with this really, but it was sweet and I really liked the friendship between Liv and Fi, Quick, easy and light read and I enjoyed every minute of it. Definitely didn't see the end twist coming, and was the teenist bit disappointed but I got over it quickly. Thank you so much NetGalley for the arc!

Loved this book! All the feels, the angst. Great story, wonderful dialogue and definitely quite a few plot twists that you don’t see coming. Was pleasantly surprised by the ending and enjoyed every second of reading this book. Highly recommended to all my friends, family and acquaintances. Enjoy!

I received this book thanks to NetGalley for my honest review.

This is a fun beach read, Oliva meets a random guy on Feb 4th in a coffee shop, her dream to be a screen writer while his is to be an actor, and they make a deal to meet back ten years later. She will write a screen play and he will be the star of it. I loved how each chapter is a quick recap of Oliva's life, the idea's of her trying to write the screen play. Her trying to figure out who this random guy is, since they never traded names, and the regular life adventures.

Spoilers*****

I enjoyed the characters of Liam and Fiona but felt that they weren't flushed out enough that I care about what was happening with them each year. I knew about 60% of the way in how the book was going to be, but still really enjoyed it. A good summer read.

3.75 stars! Plot Twist by Bethany Turner is a fun rom-com that takes place in California over a span of ten years. It’s fun to follow Olivia through the twists and turns of her life- some more predictable than others. I enjoyed the Hollywood setting as well!

Thanks to @netgalley and @thomasnelson for the ARC. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I received an ARC for Plot Twist from NetGalley, and my opinions are my own.

I've never read a book by Bethany Turner but couldn't resist the title and premise for this book. It's something like a Groundhog Day for love. Don't get the wrong idea, because every February 4th isn't exactly the same, though each year it is a disaster.

There were moments when I laughed and sighed. I actually felt like this love story is well-grounded while it pokes delicious fun at some of the love stories we love in the movies. You've Got Mail? (Yep, it's in there.) Sleepless in Seattle? (Yep, it's there too.) And about a dozen other references. I thought these were fun and show how we collectively dream about love.

I always want a little bit of a surprise in a book. Who will Olivia fall in love with? Does she get the man she loves or does a new one come along? Will she manage to land that dream position? These are questions I had while I read. Since I don't want to spoil anything for you, I have a teaser. Plot Twist has a plot twist, and it surprised me. I love being surprised!

I highly recommend this book for a sweet romance, engaging characters, and mixed-up plot. This would be a great beach read, summer read, or in front of the fire read. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

The main characters of this novel, two women who are best friends, are the best part of the novel. They care about each other, are smart, and hilarious. I love the way they support each other, and forgive one another when they hurt each other. The main character is flawed, but aren't we all. It takes her a long to get her act together and write her screenplay, but I like that she always has spunk. The beginning of the novel is promising in that there is a hilarious interchange between her and the actor that comes part of the main plot twist. The difficulty is that you quickly become in involved in those two, but those aren't actually the two love interests. Not going to spoil anything here, but Liam is a great male character as well. Maybe I wish the novel was less plot twisty? I want to fall in love with characters and stick with them.

This is now one of my new favorite books. Wow, what an emotional rollercoaster!! I was really drawn into the storyline, and I quickly fell in love with the characters. Like romantic comedies? You need to read this book! I promise you won't be disappointed.

The blurb of this story drew me in from the get go and I’m glad I requested it! The story was an enjoyable, light, and funny read. I enjoyed the characters, but I did struggle a little bit with the format of writing.

The book blurb drew my attention. I have been seeing mention of Bethany Turner on the Facebook book group I am in.

As much as I found this book a bit funny. I couldn’t keep up with the names of Hollywood actors and actresses. I am not a “movie” person so it was overwhelming for me to follow.

I adored Fiona. She is such a nice friend.

I am not going to give out much spoilers. You can pick a copy of this book to see for yourself but I must warn you, you will need a lot of patience to really get into the book.

I loved this format of a book! One chapter for every year over 10 years. It was so much fun to read!

This book was so good! Light and easy to read it was a great book to get lost in for a while. I really enjoyed the story and the people. I also appreciate how the characters keep growing and changing over the whole of the book.

Olivia a budding writer shares a moment in time with an aspiring young actor in a cafe on 4th February 2003. They promise each other to not give up on their dreams and to meet again same time, same place, same date but in ten years time., when her screenplay will be written and he will act in it.
Each chapter is about what is happening in Olivia's life each February 4th for the years up until 2013.
I really liked this as the author really captures the highs and lows and changes of relationships/friendships over this period of time. This is a true love story that ends up surviving the distractions and obstacles put in its path. Overall Rating 3.5 stars

There are definitely threads in this book that are lovely—the relationship between Fiona and Olivia, for one, but overall the book is so dialogue heavy and the dialogue is stilted. So much dialogue also creates a frenzied sense that I don’t think is intentional.

I was provided with an ARC by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

I received an ARC from Net Galley, and I'm honestly not sure how I felt about this book. I think it had a great premise, but I felt let down by the plot. Olivia's relationship with Fiona just didn't make sense to me. It felt weird for them to be childhood best friends yet all this random tension between them. The time jumps also made me confused about Olivia's love life. Like one moment we were suddenly learning she had been cheated on by a guy named Malcolm, which would mean something if we knew who he was, but we didn't so it just kind of felt like it was just there. There were a lot of moments where I had to just remember the point of fiction was to suspend your disbelief, but I still found it hard to believe Fiona landed all these amazing jobs without any real experience (Vera Wang??) and that Olivia would just run into and have all of these celebs falling for her. By the end, I just really wanted her to see Hamish so having it NOT be him and also her ending up with Liam was just weird. It felt odd for her to end up with him considering how it had hurt her relationship with Fiona previously. In short, this book raises some questions but it's still good if you're looking for a nice quick read with lots of quirky moments. #netgalley

This was a fun, original romantic comedy that I thoroughly enjoyed, and there was, indeed, a plot twist at the end that I would never have guessed. Of note: this is published by a Christian publisher but there is absolutely nothing overtly Christian in this book -- no mention of church or prayer or anything -- unless the absence of sex and swearing counts.

Wow… I am simply out of adjectives to describe this book. I went in expecting an average rom-com but hours later, I still haven’t come down from the high of reading this amazingly beautiful story of love and friendship.

Olivia Ross – thirty-year old greeting card writer and aspiring screenplay writer- has a bizzare meet cute with a struggling actor at a coffee shop. Though they forget to exchange names, they do make a pact to meet ten years later on the same day at the same place, when they have both achieved their dreams. The next ten years have Olivia balancing relationships and struggling with her ever-changing screenplay as the deadline for the rendezvous draws closer.

Though the concept of the story is reminiscent of movies like Serendipity and Sleepless in Seattle, I loved the brilliant way the author carried the plot, showcasing the characters' journey from one Feb. 4th to the next, over a decade. Olivia's self-deprecation was relatable, Fiona was charming, though, at times annoying and Liam managed to break my heart every time he was mentioned. The writing was witty and heartfelt; I wept at Olivia's heartbreaks, cheered for her along with Fiona and empathised with Liam's unrequited love. I felt that the ending had two parts; one, the most awaited one, was truly a plot twist while the second part, though clichéd, was what I was rooting for throughout the book.

This was such a heartfelt and angst-ridden story, peppered with enough humour and sarcasm to keep it from being too mushy. Despite covering a decade, the pace didn't drag or falter at any point which made reading all the more enjoyable.

I can't praise this book enough, I loved it that much. Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for providing a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

So so good! Guys I thought I had this one pegged from chapter three. Turns out I was wrong. I love a good romance & love that they always have happy endings. However 8 times out of 10 you can guess the plot from the beginning. Turns out I was wrong this time. Loved the growth of the main character throughout this story. Really liked it & would recommend!

Okay, so I loved this! I binged it in one night, it was that cute. I had to know what happened at the end. I knew what I wanted to happen, so I had to see if I was right. There was also a cute and funny little twist toward the end. I wanted more though! Like a short epilogue or something.

I liked that they were all a little older - their 30s. I feel like so often these days the characters are in their lower 20s (is this just me getting older and noticing? yikes) and so it was refreshing that they were a little older.

Liam was interesting - it was like he completely changed though? He was presented one way and then changed into someone different. I liked the change, but it felt super random. It did get explained like 3/4 of the way through the book, but I wish it had been addressed before then. All in all though, he was great.
