Disclaimer: I got this book from @NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I love that this is told from a guy's perspective- we need more books like this in YA!! Gabe retired recently and he's trying to adjust to life outside of baseball. He starts organizing events at the Player's Club. Rachel Adler is a reporter looking to make it big. Gabe and Rachel have a history, but Rachel tries to convince herself that she doesn't have time for a charismatic former baseball player until she finds out he has an inside scoop on one of the BIGGEST sports news story. Now she's got all the time in the world for him. How far is she willing to achieve her career goals and what happens when love gets in the way?

This was my first book by Hayley and I think she has a great writing style. The One-Night Stand will be a great recommendation for fans of Christina Lauren. I adored the friend group in this book and am definitely interested in more of Hayley's work.

Gabe has recently retired and is trying to adjust to life after baseball. He has assumed control of a business that must remain private and he has watched his two best friends fall in love and is looking for that special person as well.

Rachel is a reporter who was sent to Philadelphia to report on the Super Bowl. While there she reunites with Gabe who she dated briefly in college until they went their separate ways to pursue their dreams. Gabe is at the same party as his best friend was the quarterback of the winning team and he and Rachel end up spending the night together.

When Rachel ends up in Philadelphia investigating another story she and Gabe run into each other again and they become close. When the story seems to point to Gabe being involved will she choose her career or Gabe?

I really enjoyed this story as the author was able to get you emotionally invested in the characters and the close group of friends were a bonus.

Feeling like a little bit of escapism this holiday season well look no further.

If you like me know nothing about baseball but love a cheeky bit of sports romance well this is for you. Gabe is a recently retired baseball player who is the head of a secret players club.

Rachel is a sports journalist still waiting for her big break. When she gets a tip about the club she goes to investigate but gets more than she bargained for in Gabe Torres.

The One-Night Stand is a fun and light romantic comedy perfect for fans of Christina Lauren. I had an absolute ball reading it laughing quietly to myself like the crazy person I am.
