I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher through netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book is well written and the characters are described well. I absolutely adored Theo and Lauren's characters. This book is so good set in New York, mentioning Dallas, Texas. The romance is perfectly steamy without being too much. The friendships are great. I can't wait to read more books by this author in the near future. This ebook is in stores for $4.99 (USD). I highly highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

One commitment phobe Theo Prescott has been best friends to Lauren for a decade. They met Lauren dated Theo's roommate. All of their friends knew they were perfect for each other except Theo. He didn't believe in commitments and his parents weren't great role model, plus he work as divorce lawyer. His view on relationship was so jaded, Lauren knew all these year along.
They were enjoying each other's company until things changed. Lauren knew Theo will run for the hills if she suggest any labels so she decided to keep friends with benefit hopping he would come around.
Friends with benefit won't last long if one of them wants more. When opportunity opens for both of them, what will they do?
It was was steamy, cute best friends to lovers story with some twist. It was enjoyable to read. Sometimes you wanted to smack Theo on the head (but his brother's do.) It was great start to the series. I can't wait to read other brothers.
Thanks to Netgalley and Tara Wyatt for the ARC.

It was pretty cute, and i really liked how Theo was. He had such a character development and was well thought out. Lauren was alright too, could maybe have a bit more sass, that would be good. But still good. The ending felt rushed. But still, pretty cute.

I love the best friends trope it brings the sexual tension and the angst to another level. The issue I found with this novel that while the sexual tension was there it stayed at the surface and too much emphasis was placed on the fear of messing things up. It drove me nuts especially with the hero. I kept screaming grow some balls already! If you want something make it work. Just frustrating to say the least.

Like It? Hate it? Love it? Why? It's been a minute since I read a Tara Wyatt book and I'm glad I started up again with Stupid Love!

Theo is a great guy, he's a great friend to the people in his inner circle, he doesn't take himself too seriously, he knows he's good looking but he doesn't brag about it, and he's easy to fall in love with. But man does he have issues when it comes to romantic commitments! I stress the romantic part because he can and does easily commit to his friendships and his job, it's when those commitments are of the romantic nature that he has a problem.

Lauren is a lovable person, she's the type of friend who will walk through fire for her friends, and who loves with her whole heart. This is the girl you want as your bestie because she just makes life better.

Having read a few of Wyatt's books before I knew there was going to be a good amount of sexiness but I wasn't expecting the H-E-A-T! Who knew Theo and Lauren would be so explosive together?! I mean it's that kind of tension that makes you need some ice water and some fans!

I also wasn't expecting the amount of humor this book had! I laughed so many times during this book I lost count. The humor isn't forced either, it flows naturally and makes the characters seem more real to me. I hope that humor carries on in the next books because it's something I got really hooked on.

Wyatt's characters can be just about anyone with their internal struggles when it comes to the past defining your future and whether or not it can truly be changed. I appreciate the fact that she delved a bit into toxic relationships within a family and that she didn't try to excuse that behavior with the age old adage: Family is family. I think that would have held Theo back and lessened the impact of his romance with Lauren. With "family" like that, who needs the Grim Reaper?

My only complaint was how quickly the conflict between Theo and Lauren was wrapped up. That much trauma and heartache between them warranted a bit more time to work out.

Click It or Skip It? Click It. Humor, heat, friendship and love done right. I'm glad I picked this one up.

Friends to lovers trope? You've got my attention. I loved this book overall. I thought that it had great writing with characters that really kept me interested from the beginning.

This was my first book by Tara Wyatt, but I will definitely be reading more! I thought the writing also showed great chemistry between the main characters and I can't wait for the rest of the series!

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this book!

Okay, I guess I haven’t write any notes when I was reading this book on what bothered me or not in my Kindle app. Which is fine.

Except that I didn’t write the review immediately and now I don’t know what has happened in the book at all because it’s been days. So I need to improvise with what I do know.

I am not usually a fan of friends to lovers trope but this one was done right. They both have feelings for each other so it’s njust a matter of time when they will get together.

I would write a longer review but I forgot. But since I haven’t written any notes I found it okay. My Goodreads said I rated it 4.5 stars so I’m keeping that rating.

I liked this story. I adored Theo, he was amazing! My problem here was our main girl... she was a bit too unbelievably "perfect" and way too passive for my taste. She had no spike or backbone letting Theo resolve everything. I didn't like her.
Overall it was a good start for the series.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I had a hard time at the start of the book the story line was a little slow, However with that said I liked the story of Lauren and Theo friends with no interest in each other until the double date when the jealousy begins to show ! Lauren is Just waiting for him to figure out it out! Theo just doesn’t want to ruin their friendship
It’s a cute story with few surprises and certainly some steam . I haven’t read anything from this author before I am interested in secondary characters and their stories .
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an arc in exchange for my honest review.

Best friends who become lovers, he best kind of relationship! I really loved watching this pairs relationship evolve. Lauren was so patient and Theo was such a sweetheart who was just a bit misguided. I loved reading their story.

Finally the friends to lover story I have been waiting for!
Once I got into the book (first in the series, lots of background info to set the scene for the series) I couldn’t put it down.
The relationship between Lauren and Theo starts as a solid friendship but both have more than friendly feelings towards one another. The book explores how they navigate to being more than friends and the drama that comes with it. I look forward to reading about these two again and also their friends.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this book.

Absolutely loved!! This is a best friends to lover's romance that I guarantee you won't be able to put down!!

Lauren MacKinnon is in love with her sexy as hell best friend, Theo Prescott. He has absolutely no clue. So every guy she dates comes up short. They've been best friends for the past 10 years, since college, they met and became friends when she dated his roommate for a short time and remained friends ever since. She's his best friend and he's hers. They come from completely different backgrounds, but it makes no difference.

Theo grew up with all the privileges of money, but lived in a cold, emotionless household. His parents never showed his brothers and sister any love, and when they divorced, it was he'll on the kids. Now he's an extremely successful divorce attorney, climbing up the ladder to junior partner, but his dating record is absolutely horrible. He's accepted the fact that he sucks at love, and refuses to ruin his friendship with Lauren because he's in love with her. She's beautiful, knows everything about him, she's an amazing friend, loyal, and absolutely perfect for him. But he knows she deserves better than him because he's afraid he'll only break her heart. Their friendship comes first.

Lauren works at the library during the day and sings in a band at night. She's very good.

When they are set up on a double date, his jealousy comes out big time, Lauren walks away from the table after he embarrasses her. Once he realizes what he's done, he goes after her to apologize, only to have Lauren confess her true feelings about him that she's kept bottled up. They end up leaving together and end up in bed. After the best night of sex, the following morning, Theo ends up in ER having emergency surgery for appendicitis. In recovery, still under anesthesia, without his knowledge that she's there by his side, he talks in his sleep. He says that he's in love with his best friend, but he knows that she deserves better than him. With that knowledge in mind, Lauren comes up with a plan. They can still be Lauren and Theo, no labels, but have incredible sex. Nothing will change, hoping that he will come to the conclusion that they are great together.

This goes on for a while, and she falls deeper in love with him. She sleeps over nightly and the sex just gets better and better. When Theo invites her to be his date to his sister's wedding in Texas, she accepts. One night after a gig, a famous producer attended her show and wants a meeting. She's so excited. But things are going so well with Theo she doesn't want to take the job, because it's in L.A. so she decides to think about it, not telling Theo. She already knows what he'll tell her to do; go.

At the wedding, she accidentally hears Theo and his cousin talking about his and Lauren's relationship getting serious. Theo tells his cousin they aren't in a relationship, that he's single; that destroys Lauren's world. She realizes that she was only fooling herself the whole time. When a guest of the wedding sits down and flirts with her, she goes along with it, because apparently she's single. When Theo sees them together, he's furious; but he has no right to be. When she calls him on it he's stunned. She excuses herself and tells him that they need to talk. She tells him that she overheard his conversation with his cousin and, then she confessed what he said in the hospital while he was under anesthesia. He feels betrayed, but in the back of his mind knows she would never do that; it's something that his mom had just planted in his head about her. Lauren then tells him she's leaving, going back to NYC and then moving to California. He's shocked, but doesn't stop her.

Back in NYC, he's lost without her. She's been gone almost 2+ weeks and she has been doing some amazing song writing. Having a broken heart makes some great writing material. She's missing him every day but he hasn't called her once. His brothers force an intervention trying to get him to see that he's giving up the best thing to ever happen to him; Lauren. They are also making him see that he's nothing like his parents and he's capable of love, and he's a fool if he doesn't go after her. He's brilliant, he can easily find a job in L.A. without a problem.

Does he follow his heart? Or does he allow fear to rule his life?

A must read!!

I really liked the story! the author was a new one to me and I actually read the book in one sitting!

Friends to lovers is my favorite trope, so I enjoy most books with that theme. Theo and Lauren were an engaging couple, even though both were, in fact, stupid at times! Lauren needed to stand up for herself a bit more and while we didn’t get a whole lot of background into how she’s promoted her music, I feel like she probably could have done more. Theo is a fabulous friend, but that typical dumb guy who thinks someone in his life needs to be an example of everlasting love for him to understand it. But he knows enough how to be a good lawyer who protects his clients, their kids...and occasionally the other half in the divorce? Insert eye roll. Tara Wyatt certainly hit the mail on the head with this title!
Seriously though, I really did love this book and it’s cast of characters. I can’t wait to delve into Theo’s brothers’ stories...the author made them mysterious and interesting enough to make me want to come back for more. I’m also hoping for some follow up with Theo and Lauren, as well.
Great characters, fun dialogue and some very steamy scenes with our main couple make this an interesting and very recommendable book.

I received this arc for an honest review:
I liked this story about two friends Lauren who is a librarian and is also a musician, a singer who also writes her own music. Along with her group of friends from college who get together regularly, she and Theo Prescott like each other but only as friends. This changes when they begin to set the other one on blind dates which do not go so well for the other one. When they each met for the dates set up by one of their other friend’s things become complicated between them. Not that it matters for Lauren. Especially after Theo is rushed to the hospital and says some words while he is still under.
The story really changes when they go to Texas for his sister's wedding and when he tells her things that really were wrong. Thinking in his head that he is broken because of his parent’s marriage and divorce he allows them to control his words which drive her away. Away from New York and all of their friends and him. He should be happy he got what he what to be alone and hollow in self-pity. Why I don’t know because he does not believe in love. My only issue with the ending and Lauren I think if she was one of my daughters, she would have made him work, work, and then gravel and work some more at least my girls would have. I feel she let him off too easily, just my opinion as a father and a guy. Overall a good story and good characters, looking forward to the Sabastian book. This is book 1 in a planned series. And the first book in a series usually is a little slower paced because of world building. The world building is wonderful but I had trouble connecting with the main characters and that's where the lower star rating is coming from. Theo has major issues when it comes to relationships and although him and Lauren get together I don't know if it will last because of his issues. I enjoyed reading a friends to lovers book and I'll get the next one in the series.

Ahhh this book is one of the best romance books I have Read. The steaminess was so good and almost killed me. Theo was such a cute main character Even tho he had several negative sides about him and Lauren was a relatable girl. Ps: do not read this book right after a breakup

This is a brand new author for me and I guess there is a previous book by the author featuring the sister. This is the first book in the series featuring Theo, who is a divorce/family lawyer. He had a nighmare set of parents and so he is anti love, and marriage and commitment.

He and Lauren have been besties since college but he has strong feelings for her and her for him but they are afraid to rock the boat. That is until one of her friends proposes that he find find Lauren dates and Lauren find him dates and thats when I started laughing and totally fell in love with this story.

This is a series and author I will definitely be checking out again. Its a really great friends to lovers story with lots of laughs along the way.

I received a free ARC copy of this book from NETGALLERY prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

STUPID LOVE really pulled at my heartstrings. It’s a friends to lovers story with deep and long hidden feelings of love, not just suddenly looking at your friend and realizing they are kind of hot.

But of course it couldn’t be that easy for Lauren and Theo. The obstacles they put in their own way could end up ruining their love and their friendship and neither wanted to take that risk.

You see, Theo was a divorce lawyer and the child of divorced parents. Both made him jaded about love. Lauren was a singer/songwriter who regularly put her heart out there through her songs. The lyrics written in the book would make great songs and one even made me cry, it was that good.

Lauren and Theo are sweet and playful in public but they surprised one another with the force of their passion. Our Theo is a dirty talker, with a touch of jealousy and possessiveness - my favorite kind of hero.

I received an advance copy of this book. This is a voluntary review.
