What can I say? I'm a sucker for slow burn romances with a friends-turn-to-lovers theme. And although I hadn't read anything of Tara Wyatt, I decided to give it a go. And although I liked the main characters, Lauren and Theo, the burnrate wasn't very high on this story.
Theo comes from a highly disfunctional family. Although rich and famous, his father and mother went through a very nasty divorce years ago. And Theo and his siblings still have the scars from it. So he has a commitment phobia, which is enforced every day at his job as a divorce lawyer. His brothers, Max, Sebastian and Lucien are hilarious characters and I can't wait for their stories as well.
Lauren knows of Theo's ideas of relationships and therefore she has always kept her attraction and crush from him. But slowly they move from friends to "friends with orgasms". How long will Lauren be able to fool her own heart? And how long will it take for Theo to realize that they have left the friendzone a few orgasms ago?
At some point I wanted to smack both Theo and Lauren on the head for not addressing the very - and I mean very - big elephant in the room. But in all, a very funny, cute and hot story! Let's keep those Prescott's stories coming! Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Lauren and Theo have not been so honest with each other in their friendship. Whilst each believes that they are simply friends, their true feelings are stronger than that. ‘Stupid Love’ highlights the friends to lovers theme so very aptly especially when their feelings become apparent. One kiss is all it takes to question whether they should take the next step in their relationship.
This is a thoroughly enjoyable storyline, told in both Lauren and Theo’s POV. In doing so, I found myself totally captivated by both perspectives and the issues that they faced in coming to terms with their feelings. This book has it all – witty dialogue, plenty of emotions and lots of romance! The chemistry between this couple was very believable and kept me reading in one sitting! I look forward to reading more books in this great series “The Prescotts”.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Stupid Love, is very erotic. Even when Theo is being a complete idiot, he's sexy hot. He's just as lost on Lauren as she is on him. He's just too broken to see it.

I thought this book was good - good writing, good chemistry between Lauren and Theo, good supporting characters, etc., and the end was really positive. I wasn't crazy about the dialogue during the steamy scenes; it felt like too much.

This was an enjoyable friends-to-lovers romance. I always enjoy this trope because, like Theo in the book, I think that is the strongest foundation for a healthy romance. I got a bit tired of his cluelessness, but it was still a fun read.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

Tara Wyatt is a new author to me, and I am so glad I found her. I loved this book, a quick well written, well-developed friends become lovers story. The layers to the author's characters are what makes her book stand far above many others.

Starting with Theo, his baggage from childhood runs deep. His profession has him jaded about forever; he is a divorce attorney. All of this leads him not believing in forever love or feels he deserves it. Lauren is Theo’s best friend; they have known each other for over ten years. She is your heart of gold best friend. She is good to everyone.

The chemistry is great between the two. I like that the friendship to lovers builds slowly. There are plenty of funny moments, usually involving a brother. I can not wait to see who we get to read about next.

Thank you to NetGalley and the Author for the advanced copy for my voluntary review.
