I received an advance copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I requested this book because I love stories about the Amish community since my husband is from Lancaster County. I have read other books in this series and have enjoyed them.

I enjoyed how this story brought back many of the previous family members and updated the readers as to what is going on in their lives.

With this book you know an HEA is coming, but it took a long time getting there. The constant back-and-forth struggle of “Does he love me?” “Does she love me?” turned me off and I was eager for the end.

The Jam and Jelly Nook is truly Amy Clipston at her best. This heartwarming, Amish fiction novel tugs at the heartstrings, brings a smile to the face, and reminds us all that nothing is impossible for our Heavenly Father.

I've been looking forward to this one ever since Leanna's character was first introduced in The Bake Shop. While I've loved every one of the titles in this series, I knew this one was going to be a little bit different. Leanna's story is different than her cousins; her husband died tragically when their son was young, and she's been trying to make it alone with her parent's help ever since. When her son Chester ends up in trouble that lands him at the police station, she ends up meeting an Amish man named Emory who lost his wife a few years earlier, and is currently trying to raise his teenage daughter on his own.

Emory and Leanna have both been deeply hurt, and both are hesitant to move on. Circumstances seem to widen the gap between their chance at a relationship, and I loved how concerned they both are with their children's feelings on the entire matter. It was awesome getting one last visit to the special Amish marketplace, and getting to check in with previous characters from the series. I especially loved how all four cousins remain so close to their grandmother, and that Amy Clipston chose to shed some light on fertility issues through one of the four women.

I picked this one up only meaning to read the first chapter or so as I had other things to get done at the moment, but I ended up almost reading half of it in one sitting. I could barely put it down, and it's one of my favorite of Amy's novels to date. Everything felt so realistic and authentic, and I loved how strong the faith element is throughout. It's the perfect ending to the Amish Marketplace series and it's definitely the finale I was both hoping and waiting for.

Final Rating: 5/5.

Thanks so much to Zondervan for allowing me to advance read and review this!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary advance reader copy of this novel from the publisher (Zondervan) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is another installment of the Marketplace series where four cousins begin by having their own market stands in the Bird-in-Hand Marketplace in Pennsylvania. In this story, Leanna, the oldest cousin finds love. She is a widow with a teenaged son and she meets a widower with a teenaged daughter and neither of the teens wants their parents to have a relationship with anyone but eventually they all come to an understanding and everyone benefits. There are fun characters, including the other cousins and their spouses and various other family members and neighbors. Amy Clipston always tells a good story and I recommend this entire series to anyone who enjoys Amish fiction.

I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

THE JAM AND JELLY NOOK by Amy Clipson

When you get that call in the middle of the night when your child isn't where he or she is supposed to be. Leanna Wengerd, a widow finds out that her son Chester is in police custody and he requests that she come to the police station to pick him up. Leanna meets Emory Speicher a widower with his teenage daughter Maggie who along with Chester have gotten themselves into a little trouble and are in police custody.

Both of the families are Amish, both teenagers are in their Rumspringa (or running around time) before they decide to commit to the church and their religion.

Leanna and Emory begin a friendship based on their shared experiences raising teenagers without the assistance of a spouse.

Emory wants to be friends with Chester and maybe become a sort of mentor for the boy. Emory is realizing that his daughter Maggie might need a womanly figure in her life since he can't seem to get Maggie out of the house, she wants to stay home with her dad and take care of him.

The book is very good, unputdownable for me, it is a standalone in a series of four. Highly recommend.

Many thanks for the complimentary copy from #netgalley and #zondervan of #thejamandjellynook I was under no obligation to post a review.

Wow! The first word that pops in my mind after finishing The Jam and Jelly Nook. I cannot express how much of an absolute delight this story was. Amy Clipston never fails to blow me away with her talent and exquisite way that she brings a story to life. Sadly, this is the fourth and final story in "The Amish Markestplace" series that follows four wonderful cousins, as they find their happily ever after.
Leanna is the oldest of the cousins with a teenage son, Chester. After she lost her husband seven years ago, Leanna never imagined herself falling in love again.
Emory is a kind and hardworking Amish man, raising a teenage daughter, Maggie, after losing his wife several years ago. Maggie feels as though she must fill her Mother's shoes and take care of her Father and the house.
Leanna and Emory both struggle as single parents, wanting to do what is best for their children. While Chester is wild and acting out, Maggie is withdrawn from her peers and refuses to try to discover a life of her own.
While Leanna and Emory form a friendship and bond helping one another's children, love was never in the equation. Often, God has other plans, but it is up to each individual to open their hearts and minds and listen to what He has in store.
I have read many great books this year. I have to say, from the bottom of my heart, that The Jam and Jelly Nook is my favorite book so far! It is amazing, the series is amazing and I cannot recommend that anyone who is a fan of Amish Fiction, grab this series and dive in!! You will fall in love!

Just like the rest of the books in this series, I could not lay it down. I loved the story of Emory and Leanna along with Chester and Maggie. It was great to catch up with the rest of the cousins. I have loved the whole series and I wish it could continue. They were all books I did not want to end.

Sadly, this is the fourth and final installment of the Amish Marketplace series by Amy Clipston.

I have enjoyed this series so much, always looking forward to learning how the four cousins are doing and how each one is featured in each book.

This final book features Leanna Wengerd, the young widow cousin and her son, Chester, who is going through the pains of growing up and missing his father and his influence. By chance, Leanna meets a widower, Emory, whose daughter is going through similar behaviors, missing her mother. When Leanna and Emory meet, they realize they have much in common and someone to listen who understands what they are going through. Each child is very opposed to their parent dating again. Will Leanna and Emory’s friendship lead them to want to date and if so, will they be able to overcome the obstacles of their childrens’ feelings?

We meet up with the other three cousins and learn how their lives are progressing. Through these books, it feels like you are a part of their lives and enjoy reading about all the adventures and trials that come their way. There are things that happen in this book that had me laughing out loud.

You do not want to miss reading this book. I highly recommend it. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Zondervan through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This was a really a great read. I loved it because it focused on a widow and widower and how their lives were complicated by being single parents. It also looked into their home lives with their parents and siblings and how well meaning advice can cause even more undo stress. Leanna and Emory were two very likeable characters and I found myself rooting for their pairing throughout their roller coaster ride to friendship and romance.

The Jam and Jelly Nook is a story in the Amish Marketplace series that features the last cousin, Leanna. Leanna is a widower of seven years with a teenage son , Chester, who is not only struggling with the loss of his dad, but also whether or not he wants to remain Amish. When Leanna receives a phone call from the police station from her son to come pick him up for trespassing and swimming on private property, she feels like a failure as a mom.

Emory, a widow of six years and left to raise his teenage daughter, Maggie, also receives a phone call from the police station that night. Maggie, who is shy and would rather stay at home and sew, went out with her friend Alea and the teens decided to trespass on someone’s farm and go swimming. Since Maggie did not want to even be there, much less swim, she sat in a buggy to wait and when the police arrived, they caught her and Chester while the other two friends escaped.

A friendship builds between Leanna and Emory because they have so much in common with each other. As they begin to talk and see each other more, Maggie and Chester are not ready to accept that their parents enjoy each other’s company. Emory sees Leanna as someone who could possibly pull Maggie out of her shell and get her to attend youth gatherings and Leanna sees Emory as someone who could teach her son to build sheds and build his confidence.

When Emory’s family pressures him to start dating, they introduce him to Madelyne. Even though Emory begins seeing her, he does not feel the connection that he has with Leanna. Chester tells his mom that he thinks Emory is dating someone and also tells Emory that his mom is not interested in dating anyone so both of them become uncomfortable in their friendship with each other and they struggle to keep their feelings for each other from growing.

Will Maggie overcome her shyness and Chester ever gain his confidence? Will Leanna and Emory’s relationship ever become more than friends? How will each of them continue to deal with the struggles of raising teenagers without their spouses guidance? Will Leanna ever find love and a good man like her cousins did? Will Chester decide to “jump the fence” and live in the English world? So many questions and all the answers are found in this book. The author intertwined all the characters together and made it hard to put the book down until you found out what happened next. I enjoyed it very much and think the reader would have a better understanding of the characters and enjoy them more if they read all of the books in order.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my honest opinion of this book.

To say that I have thoroughly enjoyed this Marketplace series is an understatement. It is a series I will enjoy reading time and time again! Amy Clipston has long been a favorite author of mine in the Amish genre. In The Jam and Jelly Nook, it is Leanna's turn to be more deeply explored as a character, as she provided support to her cousins in the earlier novels of the series. I have loved how she, Christianna, Salina and Bethany share such closeness and are friends as well as cousins. Their support of each other is one of my favorite aspects throughout this series. In this last installment, Leanna is struggling as a widow and single parent , as her son approaches his running around time; she finds a kindred spirit when she encounters Emory, who is also widowed and raising his teenage daughter Maggie. Leanna and Emory gradually form a strong friendship as they bond over being single parents and give each other moral support. It is also touching to see the gradual special relationship form between Emory and Chester- Leanna's son, and also between Leanna and Maggie. This is a "feel good" and beautiful story Amy Clipston's fans will adore, along with other readers of this genre. I highly recommend, and I appreciate the opportunity given to me by the publisher to read and review this book.

I don't usually read "amish books" but have several patrons that request this author. I decided to read this one and was surprised. The plot was different than many I have seen, focusing on a Single mother and how her children did not like that she had started to date again. Thanks to Zondervan and NetGalley for this ARC.

The Jam and Jelly Nook is the last in the Amish Marketplace series. Leanna is a widow and has a teenage son Chester. Emory is also a widow and has a teenage daughter Maggie. Leanna and Emory meet each other at the police station because of their children. Maggie and Chester were caught trespassing. Eventually Emory and Leanna start to develop feelings for each other but forces don’t let them act on their feelings. I enjoyed catching up with the cousins from the other books in the series. This book can be read as a standalone but you want to read the other's stories. An enjoyable Amish fiction story. Thank you to NetGalley and Zondervan for the E-ARC. This is my own opinion.

I liked that this has a plot that doesn't come up often in Amish novels, that of being an older single parent and how one's teenagers might react negatively to a new romance when they've had their parent to themselves for many years. I was very interested for the first half of the novel. Towards the end it gets a bit draggy, especially when you know its leading up to a happy ending (these sorts of stories always have a way of working out), but in all an enjoyable read.

The Jam and Jelly Nook was such a satisfying read! It introduced me to new characters and kept me current in the lives of characters from former books in the series. Amy Clipson's characters are so well developed. I feel like I would recognize them if I passed them on the street. The ending was absolutely perfect, but leaves me so sad that this is the final book in this series. Please reconsider, Ms. Clipson!
