I love the Rebel Girls books and this one is no exception - a great addition to the collection, with up-to-date details like Jacinda Ardern's response to the coronavirus pandemic and Kamala Harris's VP win. A wonderful book to inspire young girls AND boys to be strong and compassionate leaders.

It is a non-fiction book for middle grade readers. In this book Rebel Girls gathered 25 incredible and inspiring stories of women who are leaders in politics, business, sports, activism and more. It is written like a fairy tale which is perfect for the young readers.
I have previously read books by Rebel Girls like the Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls and had loved everyone of them. This one focuses more on leadership and it was no exception.
The choices of women were perfect. It's a combination of old ones (from previous Rebel Girls books) and new ones and every story has a gorgeous illustration by a female artist to accompany it.
It is also very diversified and I appreciate that.

I highly recommend it for the young readers in your lives and why not, older ones too.

I really enjoyed this! This is a simple nonfiction book for young girls that has little snippets about female leaders. I really love the art style in these and how diverse the women in these are. I will say, I'm not the intended audience so while I do think that these are important and informative I don't think ill ever look back on it or remember much about it.

What an amazing addition to the Rebel Girls series. This collection of short stories gives you a brief summary of some of the most iconic woman in history. What stands out most for me in this series are the illustrations that accompany the stories. The illustrators of each iconic woman really showcased their ability to create such beauty in their portraits.

Even as an adult I learned about woman that I’ve never heard of before. Thank you Net Galley for the opportunity to review this collection of stories.

Rebel Girls Read is a notable middle grade nonfiction book that identifies female leaders throughout history. Each colorful illustration is accompanied by a one-page biography that will introduce the young reader to leadership skill and female empowerment. Many cultures are represented and leaders include historical figures such as Cleopatra and Queen Elizabeth through modern-day influencers like Kamala Harris, Oprah Winfrey, and Aly Raisman. What I appreciate most is the end of the book that allows the reader space to draw their own self-portrait and reflect on what makes them a leader. It would be a nice addition to a home or school library as the people featured are diverse and the reading is quick.

Thank you to Rebel Girls and NetGalley for my electronic ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is a new edition of 25 Rebel Girls. It has some repeats from the three prior versions but there are some deserving new names I this edition, like Kamala Harris and Stacey Abrams. Quick one page summaries about how these 25 women overcame odds to be leaders.

This book belongs on the shelves of young girls. It will show them all that women can do and hopefully encourage them to feel that they can do anything on which their sights are set. Each of these women is worth reading about. Some of those included are Aly Raisman, Cleopatra, Eufrosina Cruz, Jacinda Ardern, Kamala Harris, Melinda Gates, Michelle Obama, Ricoberta Menchu Tu and Stacey Abrams. Some of these women may already be known to you and a child that you know but others most likely may not be. All are inspirational. Each is featured in two pages, one of text and the other with a bright illustration.

The biographies are followed by some activities. A girl can write her own story, draw a portrait, think about the kind of leader they are and more.

This is a terrific entry in an excellent series. I highly recommend it.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title. All opinions are my own.

As a mother to middle-grade readers, I am always on the lookout for informative non-fiction books to add to our home library. Our kids have always loved illustrated educational books and even as they age they still gravitate towards them.

This book is gorgeously illustrated and just like the previous Rebel Girls books, provides information about strong women who have helped change the world for the better. I love that it includes Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris and Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg as well as some women who are less known but still just as impactful for change. The message throughout reminds readers to stand up for what is right and that small voices can work together to make big changes.

This is a book I know we will be adding to our bookshelves and I appreciate having the opportunity to read and review this galley.

I could not send it to my kindle therefore can not give feedback. I gave a neutral rating instead due to the fact that I did enjoy the previous rebel girl books. Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.

I need to start with thanking NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of Rebel Girls Leads and provide my unbiased feedback on the edition.

First thing fans of the series should know about this book is that as the cover highlights, this is a shortened special edition book focused on female leaders. Of the 25 stories featured, 11 are brand new, but 14 have been pulled from previous Rebel Girls editions. So buyers of the book need to be aware they really need to look at this book as a celebration edition that is being released to honor the US having elected our first female Vice President, versus a big brand new book in the series.

That being said, the stories are wonderfully done and very age appropriate in the way they handle the discussion of these women’s life stories. The illustration are beautiful, and quotes positive and motivational. I really liked the book ended with a leadership quiz for the reader and action items/ideas/examples on how to be a leader.

Solid 4 stars only because it wasn’t completely new content.

Rebel Girls Lead is a collection of 25 one-page features on wonderful women across the globe and decades, with absolutely beautiful illustrations to match.
It's informative and entertaining; I believe a must-read for all young girls. But why stop at girls? Young boys would also benefit from learning about these important women. Even as an adult, I learned facts about women I am familiar with and learned about women whom I had never heard of before.
At the end of the book is a section for the reader to add remarkable facts about her self, and a place to draw a self portrait too!
Once available, I plan on buying a copy of this book for myself and will consider gifting it to some special young women in my life.

This is a very simple book designed for children, specifically young girls but boys can have female role models too! This is 25, one page stories about women leaders, a lot of these women are modern women but not all of them. This is very entry level. You're not going to get details on any of these women the idea is more to show that women are powerful and can be leaders. This can be used as an introduction and you girl child can then go on to read more about a specific woman who inspires her.

At the end of the book is a space for your child to write her own story and a quiz to see what type of leader she is. The artwork is beautiful.

I highly recommend all of the Rebel Girls series.

This is a lovely selection of stories and gorgeous illustrations from the third editions of Bedtime Stories for Rebel Girls. It brings together the highlights of women who rebelled and achieved things which weren't thought possible for them. I would recommend this for any young children to show that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

This is the second Rebel Girls book I've read and yet again, they have written an amazing book! This book is full of such amazing women - some of whom I've never heard of - who have done so much good for those around them.

I feel very inspired by these figures and hope that young women and young people, in general, read these stories and are just as inspired. The activities at the end of the book are also a wonderful way to inspire the next generation to make a change and make their voices heard in so many different ways.

Another world class addition to the Rebel Girls books. Short stories about inspiring rebel girls who grew up to become rebel women, breaking glass ceilings.

I have been interested in reading some of these books for a while, I was so excited to get a copy of this from NetGalley! This was a brilliant collection of some of the most inspiring women, complete with beautiful illustrations and a variety of women, from Lady Gaga to Kamala Harris. I will 100% be buying a physical copy of these collections in the future as I would love to read them to my own children one day.
