What a fantastic book, full of amazing and inspiring women! I particularly liked how each woman filled a page and on the opposite page there was a beautiful illustration of her. It is a book you could read like you read a chapter book or read about one woman each night, I preferred to read about one woman each night with my ten year old daughter as this prompted discussions. I have never read any of the other Rebel Girls books so I can’t compare but this book is brilliant and an inspiration to girls! I especially liked how Lady Gaga was in there as my daughter is a big fan and an aspiring singer.
I would recommend this book to 7 years and up it is a book you can read a loud and written in a way younger readers would understand but also great for older readers and children who read to themselves.

I loved this book. There are plenty of other books like this on the market, but this one has excellent illustrations, a lot of informative content, and it is updated with a diverse set of individuals who are modern and highly relevant to the current trends and public affairs. I think this book is well worth the money, as clearly the reader gets info on tons of women, as well as an entertaining and aesthetically beautiful book In exchanged for a fair price

This exceptional book follows the vein of the other Rebel Girls books we've read and loved - but it is focused on leaders. I loved reading these aloud to my children & learning more about these phenomenal women including Harriet Tubman, Lady Gaga, Queen Elizabeth I, and Jacinda Ardern. The illustrations, as always, are colourful and beautiful. I absolutely LOVED the "what kind of leader are you?" questionnaire in the back of the book that truly inspires anyone to be aware of how they are already a leader.

There are some great leadership training ideas at the back too! All in all, such a fun book to go through and talk about with my little women who are already changing the world each and every day :)

So I liked this book. But it didn’t blow me away. While the women included were amazing women in hindsight knowing it’s heavy on the American i may not have picked it up. I was disappointed.

Kicking start the Women's History Month with this legendary book!!

“Of course I am not worried about intimidating men. The type of man who will be intimidated by me is exactly the type of man I have no interest in.” – Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

I LOVE LOVE everything about this book. It's simple, inspirational and has a great impact on one's mind. The illustrations are eye-catching and beautiful. In the end, there's also a questionnaire to help you decide what kind of leader you are and exercises for activism and leadership training.

If I had to have a tad bit of complaint about the book, it would be in terms of diversity. No doubt, every single one of these women deserves to be mentioned but I can easily think as much as people from Asian- European countries who have changed the world and I think they need some recognition too. But as this book focuses on merely 25 or many many amazing women out there, I can excuse this.

bottom line, this book is great and absolutely necessary and I highly recommend it.

We love this series and reading them aloud to our daughters. Strong female role models are hard to find, but these never disappoint! We can't get enough!

I love the Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls books and I'm always looking for inspiring reads for my children. These real life female leaders are such an inspiration to young minds (and older minds too!) I've read them with my sons as well as my daughter as it's important for the boys to also see the incredible achievements these women have made.

There's 25 stories in total, some of which also feature in the first books in the Rebel Girls series, the other 11 are brand new tales. I'd have preferred it if they were all brand new stories as some of them, as fans of the series, we'd seen before.

The book has a recommended reader age of six to nine years which I would say is fair. I read the stories with my (just turned) 6 year old whereas my older children can read them independently. There's a section at the end where you can write your own story and complete some quizzes to help you to find your own rebel girl qualities. These practical exercises are perfect for inspiring older children.

A brilliant, inspiring book.

This is the second of these Rebel Girls books I've read and I've loved them both!! These authors are great! They're very diverse and inspiring. I love the activities at the end ; I even took the What Kind Of Leader Are You quiz and I got Mostly C's. The illustrations are amazingly well done and while I wish there was more information about some of these women it's a good introduction. This is perfect for young people and I highly recommend it for your kids.

My daughters and I love this series and were so excited to see some new stories. As a parent, and teacher, I love the diversity presented in this series - across race, heritage, age, career - and the format lends itself well to quick lessons. These stories are short and appropriate enough for young learners, and can easily be expanded upon for older children with some additional research. My daughters (6, 8) will often to ask to look up real pictures of the women described and we have many wonderful conversations as a result. It was great to see some favorite stories mixed with some new ones in this format, and the activities provided were fun as well. We look forward to following along with future books in this series as well. These books make great additions to classroom and home libraries, and great gifts for other Rebel Girls!

I hadn’t heard of many of the women in this book so it was good to be introduced to these characters. Some of them led remarkable lives but the style of writing, condensing these women’s lives and achievements down into just one page, meant that some of the remarkableness was lost. I didn’t feel the wow factor when reading about them, which is a shame and is an opportunity lost. I also felt that the collection was focused primarily on the USA, so people reading this in the UK, with little understanding or knowledge about the American political system, may struggle to connect.

Having said that, this would still be a useful book to have in any school or class library, in the hope that having read about one of these women, children may go and do further research about some of them.

I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I used this as a daily read aloud in my classroom, and the students really enjoyed it. The art was eye catching and provoked discussion, and it was nice to expose them to some new role models. The students enjoyed excitedly yelling out if they'd heard about the Rebel Girl of the day, and what they already knew about her, and were quick to remark on the new facts they'd learned about each. I think this would also make an excellent bedtime read. It makes a wonderful addition to any children's book library.

This is really awesome! It's a good diverse, varied list of women in leadership roles, from history and the current day. I love the art and especially how the images are realistic and not overly beauti-fied. It's written in a sort of fairytale style that I think young girls will enjoy. This will be a great and inspiring bedtime read-aloud book for many girls!

This book tells the stories of 25 different women leaders in the world. These women include politicians like Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States, and Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister of New Zealand. There were also entertainers, such as Lady Gaga, and athletes, such as Aly Raisman. Each of these women made an impact on their communities and the world.

I wasn’t familiar with some of the women in this book, so I learned a lot. Rigoberta Menchú Tum fought for equal rights in Guatemala, and won the Nobel Peace Prize. Pat Summitt was a basketball player and coach, who had the most wins of any coach in NCAA basketball history when she retired in 2012. I’m glad that kids today will learn about these extraordinary women, because I didn’t know about them when I was growing up.

It’s so important to have books that celebrate what women can do. Many of these women weren’t born into lives of privilege, so they became successful leaders by working hard and defying the odds. These women prove that anyone can follow their dreams and make a difference in the world.

This is a great book!

Thank you Rebel Girls for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is an absolutely vital book for kids and I am glad that this series is now present for little girls to learn about more powerful role models. I love that the book doesn't treat it's target audience as kids but as future engineers, artists, educators, politicians, teachers and the like and motivates them with the dignity and respect they need. Some of these women even I had not heard of, so to imagine little girls of the coming generations knowing of them at such an early age is heartwarming. The best part of the book is that it doesn't shy away from bringing before children ideas such as childbirth, dissatisfaction, gender roles, abuse, protest, war, disability, divorce and creates an open and safe environment to have these conversations early on in their lives. While it does have women from all over the world, I noticed a stark lack of Asian role models and I wish more of them would be included in the series in the future.

Rebel Girls Lead

This was a an excellent choice for middle grade youth. The book highlights different women who have made history in some way. There are fantastic illustrations to go along with each woman, and a brief explanation of why the woman is someone to be inspired by.

I absolutely would recommend this book. It’s great for girls or boys, and I think it’s especially important for young girls to see women who have made an impact on our society, culture, and our country. I like that the author included women who weren’t just American, and that it was inclusive of cultures and countries outside of America. And I also liked that the women were from many demographics and industries.

Overall, I’d love to recommend this book and will be buying it for my niece. :)
