I was totally impressed by the huge selection of vegetables (several of which I would never have dared to put on a BBQ grill) and the many ways you can prepare and present them - straight from your BBQ grill.
I, for one, can't wait for summer to roll around so I can try the several charred avocado recipes. This marvelous cookbook is jam packed with all sorts of recipes for starters, mains (check out the eggplant parmigiana recipe!) and even desserts. There are also dips, fillings and marinades of almost every description.

Here is a sampling of what you will find:

Grilled Asparagus with Bagna Cauda (complete with Miso bath recipe)
Armenian potato kebabs
Smoke-roasted German Style potato salad
Portobello Chivito
Smoked Guacamole Dip
Basque Piperade Salad
Grilled Pizza Dough (with a variety of different topping recipes)

There is even a recipe to make your own homemade Adjvar.
No stone or vegetable was left unturned in this beautifully crafted recipe book. The instructions are easy to follow. The numerous pictures are mouth watering and would tempt even the finickiest guest or family member. Highly recommended: a great book for the BBQ enthusiast!
My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this cookbook in exchange for an honest review.

This cookbook has a vast selection of grilled veggie recipes as well as information on selecting the correct grill, how to grill, etc. I actually bought a cookbook a year or two ago about grilling veggies, and I prefer the look of this one over the one I purchased.

Such a great Cookbook! More than that, it is an education on how to prepare vegetables in a different way.

One of my goals this year is to increase my family's veggie intake which is hard to do when I cook them the same way, over and over again. Everyone begins to lose interest. How to Grill Vegetables is a great new take (for me) on how to cook healthy and make our meals a bit more lively.

The pictures throughout the book are beautiful. Rich in color and everything looks so tasty. The recipes are easy to follow and are offered in a variety of simple to mid-level complex. But I would say that anyone can grill vegetables successfully after reviewing all the tips provided within the book.

Thank you to #NetGalley for making this book available for review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Thank you, Netgalley, for a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my review! This review reflects my honest and unbiased opinion!

Oh my, my goal is to go meatless at least twice a week in 2021. This book will definitely help with that endeavor. What I absolutely love about this book is that it contains a ton of information on the types of grills and the types of supplies (charcoal, wood chips, pans, etc.) that are available and can be used to grill vegetables perfectly. I also love the vast range of recipes. The book contains your usual suspects such as just BBQed broccoli, but it also goes way beyond that, including recipes from Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, Mexico, Spain, India, and even the Balkan. It also includes a very helpful conversion chart.

Now here comes the reason why I give it only 4 stars instead of 5 (which actually pains me a bit because this is a fantastic book). While it does include images of recipes, there are--in my opinion--not enough of them. Some recipes don't have any images to go with them. I'm the visual type, especially when it comes to cooking, baking, and grilling. So that was a bit of a downer for me. But overall, this is a great resource with easy instructions and versatile recipes.

I found this quite interesting. I like that it has tips on how to properly use a grill. I think a lot of people buy a grill not really knowing how to use it, thinking that it'll just cook things if you put wood in it and start it - not the case. I will definitely be buying this when I get a grill.

I would include How to Grill Vegetables by Steven Raichlen as part of a curriculum or to have in a classroom library. However, Raichlen's new book is fantastic. I am so excited to purchase a copy of this book and begin grilling. My husband and son have Raichlen's other books and love them. I was really impressed with the front matter detailing the different grill types and how to's. Within each recipe, I also appreciated the tips. My only suggestion would be more photographs - everything sound so delicious and I'd love to see them all.

I loved all the recipes and can't wait to try them when the weather calls for the grilling season to start. There are so many ideas to incorporate in every day meals.

How to Grill Vegetables by Steven Raichlen is an amazing book with step by step instructions for grilling vegetables and fruits. The book is very detailed and includes a ton of recipes from appetizers to desserts and even includes homemade condiments using grilled veggies. Most recipes have a full color photo of the finished product. Some don't have a photo, but honestly the book would be so much longer because there are so many recipes included. I would add this one to my home recipe book collection.

I’m absolutely in love with this how to cookbook on grilling vegetables! Ever wonder how to get a great smoky flavor into a crisp vegetable dish? This book has loads of information and tips to cook just about any vegetable.

What did I like? Well you had me at the cover! Who doesn’t like a kabob or fire roasted vegetable? From Asparagus to fire roasted corn you will be amazed at the recipes and pictures that splatter the pages! The book gives you a wealth of information when choosing what to use to grill and easy to follow recipes when your ready. My favorite is pretty much anything on a kabob skewer.... loved the zucchini cut by mandolin then added to a skewer in a ribbon look!

Would I recommend or buy? This would be a great gift for the guy in your life that loves to grill! Or anyone who loves grilled vegetables! I thought it was an excellent book with some gorgeous pictures! I would love a copy!

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review! Fabulous book! Five stars!

Very clear and simple book. It starts with all different kinds of grills : benefits and others. What fuel to use (wood? charcoal?) and what you should have to be able to cook in a save way on your grill.

Every recipe is accompanied by a clear ingredients list, where the recipe comes from (p.e. Spain? Malibu beach?) When possible it will give alternatives.

Pity we are in middle of winter here because I'll be certainly be trying a lot of recipes!! A fan!!

How to Grill Vegetables is the perfect book for those trying to incorporate more vegetables into their daily menus. There are lots of practical tips at the beginning suggesting tools, seasonings and techniques to get the most flavor out of your grilled veggies. Inventive suggestions abound for adding vegetables into all parts of your meal, even dessert!

Thank you Workman Publishing Company and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my review.

This is a comprehensive guide to grilling vegetables. It includes a grilling "how to" section in the front that is invaluable. This will instruct a new griller and enhance the skills of a seasoned veteran. The photos are gorgeous and there are so many recipes I want to try, especially when it stops snowing and gets a little warmer outside!

The recipes that caught my eye were: Grilled Radishes with Roquefort Butter and Shitakes Channeling Bacon (Crispy Smoked Shitakes), Caveman Corn, Grilled Carrots, Cajun Hobo Packs, Mechoui Cauliflower with Moroccan Spices, and Grilled Vegetable Paella.

This is not a completely plant based cookbook, but the recipes can be adjusted as required to fit any way of eating.

Anyone interested in adding more veggies in their life in a flavorful way will enjoy this book.

I received a free copy of this book from the publishers via Netgalley. My review is voluntary.

This is a beautiful cookbook full of gorgeous pictures. I'm not a vegetarian, so this book for me would be for side dishes. However, my family loves grilled food even in the middle of winter. This is a comprehensive book on how to grill a variety of vegetables and even some fruits. If you want to up your grilling game, this book is a must.

Thanks to NetGalley and Workman Publishing Company for the digital galley of this book.

Can I just say how hungry this book made me? Every single photo is mouth-watering, and mostly healthy, because veggies. I am always looking for ways to incorporate more veggies into my cooking, and everything tastes better grilled.

The recipes in this cookbook are all things I want to eat, every day, which isn’t always the case with cookbooks. It’s billed as “Not a vegetarian book, but vegetable-forward (and with vegetarian and vegan adaptations).”

Even though it’s not strictly a vegetarian book, I like that they make adaptations for those who don’t eat any animal-based products, and I’m looking forward to trying a lot of these recipes, particularly as it gets closer to spring and nicer weather. It’s out in May, just in time for a summer of grilling, so keep it on your radar.

I love grilling and try to limit my meat consumption, so this book is right up my alley. The recipes were delicious and easy to follow. I loved trying out some of the recipes and look forward to trying a lot more in warmer weather, when we grill almost nightly!

This book was received as an ARC from Workman Publishing Company in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

Since it is after the holidays everyone is coming up with their New Years Resolutions and it is always common that people want to eat healthier and this book does not only focus on prepping, roasting and grilling vegetables but which vegetables to add with some of your favorite dishes considering that it is a vegetable forward cookbook. All of the dishes had pictures corresponding with the recipe which made it even more appealing and I can't wait to try some of these recipes especially the pizzas and the breakfast dishes. This could even be a potential cookbook to use for a future cooking demo at our library.

We will consider adding this title to our TX Non-Fiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.
