How to Grill Vegetables - The New Bible for Barbecuing Vegetables over Live Fire by Steven Raichlen will up the playing-with-fire game of any adventurous griller. But that doesn’t mean that the author skimps on basics when it comes to illustrating the various grilling methods and when each should be used. He also describes many of the ingredients and provides their genesis.

These recipes, clearly a labor of love, will temp any foodie. The Spicy Smoke Chickpeas, Zucchini “Burnt Ends” and the Ultimate Smoked Baked Beans are definitely on my short list. But the section that I actually like the best is the Vegetable Abecedarian, which gives the grilling basics for almost any vegetable that the reader can imagine. I can definitely see myself referring this section on a regular basis and working my way through the rest of the recipes. Can’t wait for grilling season!
